Hi guys ,
at first i am a noob but i want to learn
Today i decided to install custom firmware ( P.A.C v22 ) so i rooted my phone , unlocked the bootloader. Then installed recovery , got into it , did everything :
Download Rom + Latest Gapps (Links in "Downloads" section)
- Copy them to your Internal SDCard
- Reboot into Recovery
- Do a Factory Reset/Wipe data
- Wipe Cache
- Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Advanced -> Fix permissions
- Mounts and Storage -> Format /system
- Install zip from SDCard -> Choose zip from SDCard -> Choose the Rom and install
Click to collapse
And in the last step i got installation error , i panicked and rebooted phone.
Now there is only Sony logo , i can't turn off my phone , soft resets dont help , i cant even turn it off. Fastboot and flashmode dont work
Is it dead or can i still rescue it ?
If there is sony logo, then ur on safe side. Its just you have to flash stock ftf through flashtool

1.- Hold the volume up and power buttons.
2.- Once the sony logo disappears and the screen turns off immediately release the buttons.
By doing this your phone will be off.
Now it should work Flashmode and Fastboot.
Good luck

That is what i did yesterday. I left it for the night with Sony logo on because i wasnt able to turn him off in the way you said. When I woke up there was no Sony logo , i plugged it to the computer and there is red led light but i managed to get into both flash an fastboot modes so there is hope

I managed to mess up mine by incorrectly flashing a rom. This sorted me out. Had red light only, nothing else. Brown trousers for a few hours...
Managed to flash stock rom and everything is ok but when i try to install P.A.C there is mount error and installation is aborted.
I've read about this and the solution is installing opensemc kernel BUT i can't , because of error ( doing this by flashtool ).
**** happens like they say but i want this rom soooo badly , anyone ?

Hello,
I was running cm-7.1.0-XperiaArc-LT15i-KANG with no problem, and decided to install official Cyanogenmode.
I think I made a mistake when deciding to flashtool first this image :MT15i_4.0.A.2.368_HK.ftf
Then I couldn't boot anymore, just black screen.
Recovery not working, with volume button or fastboot recovery image.
Then I flashtool LT15i_4.0.A.2.368_Generic Global.ftf.
The flash succeed, but can't boot. Black screen.
Then I tried to fastboot this firmware : LT15i_4.0.A.2.368_Generic_Global_system
FAILED (remote: partition not found)
How can I get out this issue?
No boot, just black screen when phone is power on.
TY
Edit : I can not use flashtool as it asks me to turn on unknown sources and debugging, but can't boot!
Edit2 : followed this topic :[Tutorial] Fix FOTA bricked (unlocked bootloader) Phones (http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1126358).
Flashed was OK, but still can't boot. Black screen
Edit3 and last : finally booted . Flashtool again BUT placed the loader.sin in the subfolder /loader!! My phone couldn't boot as the loader was not installed.
Shame on me.
Where did you find that official version? I didnt see it on the Cyanogenmod site.
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/32755-cyanogenmod-7-for-the-xperia-arc-v7101-11-oct-2011/
Xperia Arc wont boot after flash attempt.
I unlocked bootloader, then downloaded ROM: LT15i_3.0.1.A.0.145_Global Customized
and when I tried to flash it it said: " now i cannot turn on my phone, it only vibrates and then nothing"

When you press the power button, the blue LED blinks as it vibrates, correct?
I've had the same problem, you have bricked your phone.
go to this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1126358
and follow the instructions. It should work after flashing those files
edit:
if that doesn't work download this :

(i know its for Xperia Play but trust me it works for Arcs, fixed mine )
unzip and copy into the firmwares folder (where your rom was ) then flash it. <---- this fixed my brick
Hello everybody.
Someone sold me a modified Xperia Arc S, lately i felt it was having troubles because of it so i wanted to just wipe data and turn back to a clean install.
The one who sold that phone to me told me to push - button to go to a Advanced menu, that's what i did, i wiped all... And even system part :/
All i know is :
- I have a trollface "U Mad" when i boot on my phone
- I can access to CWM- based Recovery v5.5.0.4 (where i did the wipe) with - button, but i don't have any backup there so can't restore.
- I can install things as zip in CWM
I tried to use flashtools, but i can't boot with blue led, so it does not see my phone in fastboot :

PS : not sure it fit my problem, but i saw this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1971524 so i'm downloading it : Generic Trade France (4.0.4) (1254-2259)
Do you have a way to fix it ?
Thank you all. And btw yes i'm french if it's needed to know.

Hi
So yesterday I was trying to install TWRP recovery in order to install Cyanogenmod 11 on Xperia S , I followed a tutorial on techglen, the problem is that now I only have the recovery on my phone , it boots instead of the system , the system files are still there but I can't boot on it , If i connect my phone to my computer I can't access the storage even if I mount it using TWRP
So i have some questions
Is my phone broken?
Instead of flashing a .elf file i flashed the .img instead , is that the source of the problem? ( i didn't do it on purpose , but i didn't pay attention :/ )
can i flash the boot.img of the old system to get it back on booting ?
If there's a way of pushing the CM11 into my phone and installing it would that fix my problem?
Can i use flash tool to flash my old system back ?
Hi,
do you have the zip file of your custom rom on internal stockage ?
(browse file with 'Install" on TWPR)
If yes, you just have to flash it with TWPR.
Here's what I did (will do a clean install and delete previous setting, contact, app data ...) :
- Download ROM + Gapps and copy to sdcard (internal stockage)
- Flash boot.img with FlashTool
- Reboot on recovery (TWPR)
- Factory Reset (Wipe --> "Switch to Factory Reset")
- Format System (Wipe --> Advanced Wipe --> Select System)
- Install New ROM (Install and choose Zip)
- Reboot on ROM to set basic settings
- Reboot on recovery to Flash Gapps
- Wipe Cache (Wipe --> Advanced Wipe --> Select Cache)
- Reboot on System
If you don't have zip file on internal stockage, you may go back first on Stock Rom with FlashTool.
Flash stock ftf(6.2.b.1.96), you can easily find it using search function.
Then you can do like I explained.

Well thanks a lot for your answer man !
when i put on flash mode and try to flash it with flashtool , the phone leaves flash mode after like 40 seconds
I tried installing the drivers ( from flashtool/drivers ) but it didn't change anything :/
Do not confused Fastboot and Flashmode.
Normaly you just have to :
(I guess your tft is already in "firmwares" folder of FlashTool)
- start FlashTool (with Administrator Rights on Windows)
- clic on "Flash device"
- select "Flashmode"
- select all file in "Content"
- clic on "Flash"
- your xperia s must be poweroff and unpluged
- Press the back button (still powered off)
- Then plug the USB cable
After that your phone boot in Flashmode and flashing start.
If they don't work, what is the error ?

Don't put your device on flashmode until flashtool tell you because flashtool takes about 1 minute and 20 seconds to finish extract ftf file

You can simply try pushing the CM11 zip to Your phone when You are in twrp and Your phone is detected on the PC. You won't be able to see it as mounted storage. You will see the device when You run:
Code:
adb devices
Then Use the command to push:
Code:
adb push path/to/rom /sdcard
And then flash the ROM.

Hi,
Good news if it works now.
So enjoy yourself with custom rom
I am not responsible for any damage to your device, when you root you lose the Warranty
This guide collects A107F development info, but with the files ported to the A107M.
Thanks to the Galaxy A10s Development team for the original files.
You need to be on Android 10, if you are on android 11, there are tutorials to downgrade.
[BootLoader Unlock]
- Backup all your media, this process will delete your internal media including music and photos
- Go to developer settings and enable [OEM Unlock]
- Reboot to download mode (Turn off, press VOL- & VOL+ and connect the USB)
- When prompted, press and hold VOL + to enter bootloader unlock mode
- Press VOL + to confirm you want to unlock bootloader, this will wipe your data
- If you think the bootloader is fully unlocked, it is actually not! Samsung introduced VaultKeeper, meaning the bootloader will still reject any unofficial partitions before VaultKeeper explicitly allows it.
- Go through the initial setup. Skip through all the steps since data will be wiped again later when we flash TWRP and magisk
- Enable developer options, and confirm that the OEM unlocking option exists and is grayed out. This means the VaultKeeper service has unleashed the bootloader. This step is MANDATORY
- Perfect! Your bootloader now accepts unofficial images in download mode.
[Twrp Install]
At this point, you will need to install Odin on your PC.
Bootloader unlocked is OBLIGATORY.
On your MicroSD, put the "A10s-encryption-disabler.zip" file.
Boot to download mode, load "VBMeta" file in AP and "TWRP Ported to A107M" file in BL
- Disable [Auto Reboot] in Odin
- Flash
- Force a reboot by pressing VOL+, VOL - and POWER buttons at the same time
- With the USB connected, and after the screen goes black, IMMEDIATELY let go of all buttons and IMMEDIATELY press and hold VOL+ and POWER button at the same time to boot to TWRP Recovery
NOTE: TWRP on this phone is not perfect, after booting to it, the screen will remain black after the Samsung logo disappears, simply wait 10 seconds and press the power button 2 times to have acces to it.
- After booting to TWRP successfully, go to WIPE in TWRP
- At the bottom, you should see an option to FORMAT DATA. After you select it, you will be asked to type "yes" in your keyboard. If you do not see this, you probably selected the wrong option.
- After formatting data, flash the "A10s-encryption-disabler.zip" with TWRP. This is done to avoid future bootloops.
- Optional, flash "Magisk.zip" if you want to keep on Stock ROM with root.
- After doing this, boot back to system and you are done
- Wait patiently for the device to boot for the first time
[Custom ROMs Install]
Bootloader unlocked and TWRP isntalled are OBLIGATORY.
Most of the GSI ROMs of this forum works fine on this device.
Only download a64 ROMs, do not confuse with ARM64.
On your MicroSD, put the ROM image.
- Boot to TWRP
- Go to Wipe > Advanced
- Wipe ONLY the System partition
- Go to Install
- At the bottom, select option "Install Image"
- Search for your GSI. It should be something that ends in .img. If it ends in .xz instead, you need to extract the image first
- Optional, if you want Root, flash the "Magisk.zip" file
- Go to recovery main menu
- Go to Reboot
- Reboot to Recovery
- After that, go to Wipe and perform a Factory Reset
- Reboot to System and enjoy!

If it worked for you, what procedure did you follow? What rom did you use for bit 6? what tools did you use?
It worked for me at first time I see TWRP menu but I didnt followed the instructions correctly , I've tried to do it by myself after that , then I got a unnoficial bootloader error and RQT_CLOSE error when trying to do the Odin process again .
Any working solution are welcome and I will be thankfully , please !
