hi guys im looking for help rooting my lg optimus gk ive found alot of people in Asian forums saying that it can bebdone with and the same way as the g pro because they share the same internals but I've updated to the phone and i can't get my computer to find all the necessary drivers in missing LGE android phone driver. and i think its the most important I've tried everything i could think of please help I've never had this issue while connecting to the computer i have tried opening up cmd. and typing. adb devices and it never detects the phone
please help LGE android not downloading on my pc so i believe it's the reason i can't root my devices
Hello everyone,
I have recently tried rooting my LG G3. I have tried LG One Click Root and Stump, to no effect.
Recently I tried PurpleDrake and I got the message:
*** ERROR: Your phone is not running a compatible software version. No vulnerable mode detected, rebooting phone, we tried to temproot you, and it didn't work, This phone isn't vulnerable, it would appear, Please post on XDA with your phone model, carrier, and SW version in the PurpleDrake thread and someone will take a look.
Your phone has been rebooted back to normal systemmode, no changes have been made, Thanks for trying! ****
Android Version => 5.0
Phone Model => LG-D855
sw_version=> v20t-EUR-XX
I'm really a noob at this, so any kind of help would be appreciated!
I find that the method discussed in the thread titled "Newest Root Method for LG devices" by digital-bug consistently works for every D855 firmware version (including yours). He lists there two methods. Try the first option using the "one-click script".

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, as you've guessed it though. Looks like you got a brick in the oven and can't feed your droid any new data now. Unfortunately, I don't know of any sure shot methods that will bring it up to par. I suggest either contacting verizon for a new device or the insurance for a new device. Maybe someone who's working on the bootloader, if there are any can help you but by the sound of it, you need a funeral service for your device. Sorry for the fluxed luck. Who knows though, I am not always 100,000% accurate with devices which aren't in front of me to tinker with. Best of Everything lucky to ya though.

Yeah I felt it's so complicated , I have some experience on Rooting and dealing with software issues , but this on is totally new for me.
Thank You Sir
Man that's a huge bummer, sorry to hear. If you have a spare phone and don't mind sitting on that one for a while eventually the files should be available to fix this but no eta is known.

This happened to me too, but i didnt use the LG Flash Tool cause it wasnt working for me so i used LG UP instead. I flashed the right .kdz file for my model and everything but when it finished flashing it remained in a bootloop and now it wont turn on. whenever try to put it in dl mode it doesnt show up with the screens i just see it connected as qhsusb_bulk in the device manager.
i have the open international version so im guessing bootloader so im gonna wait for fix files :fingers-crossed: although its gonna be a while im pretty sure :crying::crying::crying:

What are the files that one would need to fix this? Have they been released now? I've got a phone being recognized as a QHSUSB_BULK as well, and I'm wondering if these files would revive mine as well.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/general/lg-g4-h811-complete-unbrick-guide-100-t3461629 do some google searches for lg g4 unbrick tool then read and read and read.

first you dont know what you have.. i suggest to open the phone and take out motherboard. see plaque model if it says h811 then you have h811 if its says ls9 then you have sprint.. thats the only way. they maybe edited software easy to do.. but you can not change model in plaque ..

Same issue here but my phone is a refurbished f500l
I suggest you to not customize anything because there is nothing good when it comes to customizing a refurbished phone even flashing official kdz just let it go or you would be in your worst case of customizing
But if you insist you may want to search about qualcomm 9008 mode a little
Best wishes.

I have battery issues too its lg bloatwares but you should have root to modify system and remove crapware(some of them can be disabled through apps menu)
First,try some apps like kingo .etc and see if those apps work because king root worked for me when i had h811 10n rom however its super user app is nothing but bull****...it will do the trick on the other hand.
Second(which i really dont recommend),try low effort root and injecting rooted system with send command and adb search for it in this forum and you will find it.
What i strongly recommend is getting along with it
Because this phone does nt worth the hassle to modify any thing on it if you have a refurbished device
Peace✌

What do you mean didn’t work? Error message?
Your using a usb 2.0 port correct? USB 3.0 won’t work.
Also who replaced the motherboard? LG? It’s quite possible you no longer have an H815

It appears that the LG G4 model for Israel is H815L - you want to confirm that is your model and then look for the firmware for the 6.0 kdz for that model for your specific carrier and, as suggested above, use LGUP-NEW (https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/lgup-install-kdz-mm-lp-t3249803) to upgrade.
The H815L model doesn't appear to have a bootloader that can be officially unlocked (I will stand corrected if that is not the case). If correct, you will not be able to root your device with android 6.0. You can however root android 5.1, following this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/lg-g4-100-root-success-directives-root-t3180586
If you bought the phone originally from your carrier in Israel and LG didn't provide you the correct motherboard for your phone when they repaired it, you have a good case to go back to them and insist on the correct one.

: ) its h815 its right in the hardware info.
in the bin action LGUP all the time he didnt find the kdz i try to downgrade back to lolipop or install a fit MM for my device.
i try both USB 2.0 & 3.0.
the device steel was in warranty so the company that deel with that replace a new motherboard for h815.
i beleive that i miss something in the LGUP about the lg flash tool you allready tell me that i cant so i must use this one with new instructions : )

But what error do you have in lgup?
What do you mean by hardware info? Only real way to know it’s have the phone apart and look at the actual motherboard. Hardware info will say whatever firmware is flashed on it.
If LG them selfs didn’t warranty it it’s quite possible it has a different mode motherboard. It’s extremely common with the G4.
All you do is run lgup, choose refurbish and choose the kdz file. There’s nothing more to do. Just don’t use usb 3.0 as it won’t work.

You upgrade to go from 5.1 to 6.0
You refurbish to go from 6.0 down to 5.1

In LGUP-NEW, in order for it to find the kdz file you have downloaded, you must first select upgrade and search for the file/folder where you placed the kdz you downloaded. If downgrading, you still have to select upgrade first, load the kdz when you select it, then close the LGUP-NEW app. When you re-open it, it will have the file that you selected ready to go and refurbish will already be selected.
Make sure that you are using LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.2.0 on your PC as your driver. You can download it from the LG US support site, if you are not using the correct one.
As hyelton suggested already, the only sure way to know what your motherboard is, is to open the phone and look for the model number on the motherboard. My suspicion is that you should be using an H815L kdz but without motherboard model confirmation, one cannot be sure.

It sounds like a DLL file issue. You will need the correct DLL files for your phone model.
You could try using UPPERCUT: Add Any LG Device to LGUP for TOT/KDZ Flashing (G4|G5|G6|V10|V20|MORE???) from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/development/uppercut-lgup-loader-g5-variants-t3511295

Thanks for letting me know. Glad you got there.
If you want to gain root now, check out the following thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/lg-g4-100-root-success-directives-root-t3180586
You can then install Xposed when rooted and customize your rom a bit.
I would also suggest you check out steadfasterX's TWRP-inFiSH (https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/locked-twrpinfish-locked-g4-devices-t3573048) - it's a custom TWRP version developed by him for LG G4's with locked bootloaders that will allow you to back up your rooted system image, so that you can always restore back to where you were. It works like a charm and I recommend it.
