[Q] Root after flashing ROM on 5.1.1? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I just flashed the Pac-Rom for my LS990 and I seemed to have lost root along with doing that. Am I able to get my root back so I can do a bit more changes to my phone? I've tried installing SuperSU but when I do my phone seems to uninstall on my next reboot.
Do I have to boot into TWRP and flash SuperSU manually or is it not possible due to having 5.1.1?

You should be able to just flash SuperSU in TWRP to regain root...

[Q] No Root Access on my One X

Hi,
I'm actually on ARHD 5.0.0 but i still get no root access with SuperSU. Binary gets updated properly but apps like Adaway, Titanium Backup, etc, tell me that i don't have root access.
How is that possible? Bootloader unlocked via HTCDev, latest CWM Recovery, flashing ROM and matching boot.img without any problems but obviously no root.
Flashed the latest SuperSu as flashable CWM zip without any success using root-requirering-apps
Hope someone can help me, never has had any problems like this with my previous HTC devices

how to get root on sgh-i747m 4.4.2

hi;
I have a roger GS3(SGH-I747M) and recently I have updated to stock 4.4.2; then I flash cf-root throuth odin; trying to get root access; however, after I boot into the phone, I always gets a force close message on the phone and cannot get root access. Does anybody know what I can do to get root access on stock 4.4.2.

Towelroot seems quite easy. Once I do that, what's the best way to install latest TWRP or CWM on rooted 4.4.2? I had always heard GooManager, but now it's showing as not supported and unavailable.
No need to root. Just load a custom recovery and flash a custom ROM.
Flash recovery with odin.

Like someone mentioned earlier, try flashing a custom recovery (I like philz touch myself) via odin. Once you access Recovery, if your phone isn't rooted upon trying to reboot you'll see a message that says "root priviliges may be lost, root (or something like it) binary su). Choose yes and your phone will be rooted once it boots. Install SuperSU (or kush's Superuser if you'd like) and then you'll see your phone is rooted.
I used TowelRoot and had absolutely no problems whatsoever. However, 4.4.2 seems to run extremely slow on the I747 so you might consider a custom ROM. That is the route I am looking into.

CANT ROOT: SUPERSU (superuser) no longer works after trying to reinstall

I used supersu to root my original phone on 4.1.1. this was maybe 2 years ago. i want to update to 4.4 but the root doesnt let me, so i uninstalled SuperSU hoping it would unroot and tried to update usin g"software update". still nothing--hitting the butting doesnt even register a click.
tried using odin to update but it stalls on one of the early processes (then i realized i needed root for this step!)
so i went to DL SuperSU again but installing it doesnt work: "There is no SU binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"
What to do??
The simplest way to get to 4.4.2 via OTA updates would be to use Odin and flash back to completely stock 4.1.1.
Using Odin will wipe all data files on the phone.

Is it possible to install TWRP on D850 stock Marshmallow?

Hi, I am trying to flash TWRP on my AT&T stock D850. I have a temporary root using Kingroot, and then I tried flashing TWRP from Flashify, but when I try to enter recovery it says SIG_LEN_MISMATCH: boot verification failed. Normal booting works fine.
A lot of the methods that involve 'bumping' the TWRP img etc., seem to be geared towards Lollipop. Has anyone been able to successfully install a custom recovery while on stock MM and using Kingroot root?

please help me with this I'm stuck

Due to some problems I rooted my note 2 gt-n7100 using king root and successfully installed twrp custom recovery 2.8.0.1.
And now I am experiencing some problems due to it. So I need to uninstall or remove and I need my old android recovery to be installed in my device. Please help me as soon as you see this message.
You can download the phone's stock rom from sammobile.com, extract the recovery, and flash it.
If you want to make it simpler, you can re-flash the entire ROM which will return the phone to a stock configuration.
BTW, there is no need to root before installing TWRP. You can install TWRP from Odin and then, if you want root, flash supersu.zip from TWRP.
