Hi is there root for lg f500l ! Korea version
And if i root my phone can i do phone auto updates ! Or it will say that my phone is modify
No root yet. Patience my friend.
To have root, you would need a custom recovery. To have custom recovery, you need an unlocked bootloader (no unlock for F500 yet).
Once you have all these, OTA auto updates will fail. You will need to update manually with LG Flash, flashing .kdz system images.

Hi,
How to root LG SU 640 with V20F firmware. My phone was on V20D rooted, then updated to V20F with LG PC software and lost root. Procedures for older versions seem to be not working with this. Is there any way to root? Need root to 1. uninstall annoying Korean SKT apps, 2. install custom ROM.
Thank you.

Revert to GB rom, root, flash custom recovery, flash custom rom.

Thanks, If I want to stick with stock for a while then? And flashing ROM is a tedious process, I would keep it as last option. Noway to root V20F?
you can root it, you cant put custom recovery.
best bet is to get back to GB root, custom recovery, put custom Stock ics rom if thats what you want.
Edit: i have rooted it but dont remember if that was 20D or 20F, but i did get root and able to delete system files. but get soft brick every time i tried to flash recovery. but after the new wind kernels i forgot about ICS and stock ROM's.
Guys i have D858hk 10f rooted alongwith Bumped TWRP.
If i manually update it via KDZ to 20d. Will i lose the root access and the recovery?
And before updating, should i remove the XPOSED?
Hello everyone! I'm not really new to this Android rooting and unlocking bootloader stuff (I did this to my previous Xperia phones) but I'm "new" with it now because I'm now an LG user. I currently own the D855 Global variant.
So here are my questions:
1.) Is it necessary to unlock the bootloader to flash custom ROMs? Or is root enough? (I rooted my phone yesterday and installed TWRP with AutoRec for D855 users) I'm kinda interested with the Cloudy G3 ROM.
2.) Is it necessary to unlock the bootloader to flash custom kernels?
3.) What does bump mean? I haven't heard this term before.
1) No, you do not need to unlock your bootloader on lg g3 to flash Cloudy ROM or other custom ROMs.
You are not even able to unlock the bootloader on this phone currently. If you already
flashed TWRP go get your Cloudy ROM and flash it with TWRP.
2) Again no. Like I said you are not able to unlock bootloader on this phone currently.
But you will be able to flash custom kernels because they are BUMPed.
3) And finally BUMP is a way of signing boot image so it could be booted on LG bootlader without the bootloader itself being unlocked. All XDA ROMS for LG G3 I found here are already prebumped so you are able to download them and flash immediately.

Thank you so much! Another question tho, if I flash any stock based custom kernel, how do I get back to stock if in any case I would want to?
Before flashing anything you should always do backup with TWRP or other custom recovery you already have. If you did your backup there, just restore it that way.
In case you did not, you are able to use LG flash tool and flash stock kdz files.
Also you could backup your boot.img(kernel that is...) using app like Flashify and restore it with it if necessary.
And again I recommend doing a nandroid backup with TWRP before flashing anything at all.
I have lg g4 that i bought used, i had it for a while and wanted to return it to stock, from what i understand i has stock rom, but the boot loader is unlocked and its rooted, is there a way to return it to stock without losing data? Will i be able to just unroot and lock bootloader?
You can unroot by flashing kdz, but you cannot lock the bootloader.
You should have look into it before buying it.

what can i do to be able to install ota updates?
If you want ota updates you shouldn't root your device.
Just use the latest KDZ to update, or unroot your phone and wait for ota.
You can try to unroot on supersu app, there it should be an option to unroot, but best thing is to use kdz.

from what i understand my bootloader isnt unlocked and the phone is just rooted. What should i do to receive ota?
Hello all developers, I have a noob question, please guide. I have ZenFone 2 running on stock android 5.0 and it is rooted. Now I have to flash custom roms and mods but also want to update stock Rom to android 6.0 whenever ASUS provide updates. So I have a simple idea as below -
1) Install flashify app.
2) Take backup of stock recovery.
3) Flash CWM.
4) Take nandroid backup.
5) Now I can flash custom roms.
6) When ASUS provide updates, flash nandroid backup.
7) Flash stock recovery through Flashify.
8) Full unroot from supersu.
Thus my phone will be fully stock and I can update stock Rom to android 6.0 .
Will this trick work; please tell. I am eagerly waiting for your replies.

Thank you very much for the information. Btw, can I make changes to stock Rom without unlocking bootloader and revert back to fully stock phone when OTA comes with the above method ?
