Note: I originally posted this on AndoridCentral, but ran out of help over there.. Hoping the brilliant folks at XDA could help me Here is a link to my original thread if you are interested: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ve...t-me-access-most-folders-via-usb-gallery.html
This originally happened on June 29th when the Vicious Liquid Rom (for CDMA/Verizon) came out. - I flashed the jellybean Rom when it came out, and have been having this problem. When I connect my phone via USB, I can only see about 5 folders, most are missing. Also, when I go to my gallery through my phone, my photos do not show up, but when I use root explorer or ES File Explorer, I can find them that way and access them. I've tried turning on/off USB debugging a billion times.
They are all still on my phone.. It shows my phone has 3.5 gigs of free space (so obviously, it's mostly used up)....
I can only see 6 folders:
Pictures
Notifications
MNT
Download
DCIM
After Focus
I also figured out that I can load the files onto my computer using ADB, so Ioaded all of my photos/videos off. A few days ago, I decided to try the Bugless Beast Rom, so I did a full wipe, and the same thing is happening. Also, I can not see any of the photos I took from the Vicious Liquid Rom, only the photos I have taken since I flashed the newest rom.

Anyone? Bueller?
happened to me, Use nandroid back up. The ext/sd is somehow corrupted.
This has been discussed before and nobody has a definite answer/fix for us.
Couple of threads on the matter
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1775598
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1748326
My post on Bixie's ROM thread, there's a couple of suggestions afterwards
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28254742#post28254742
Seems like it has to do with the fact that a new mount point is created ( /sdcard0 ) and therefore /sdcard is not being mounted which is where all the media has been previously stored.
Good luck and let us know of your progress if any
I've tried everything.. Do you think it would fix by me putting the phone back to stock (locking and unroot) and then unlocking and rooting again?
EDIT: Yes, it worked. I had to unload all my photos and everything.. then I re-locked and unrooted.. The locked and unrooted again and re-flashed Jellybean.. All is well.
Since CM 12 is now official I didn't see any place to ask questions about bugs we find, so I thought this would be a good place. So far I've only come across three things.
1. When on a call, and the screen goes off, it won't come back on unless I press the power button twice. I take it the first one really turns the screen off, and the the second back on. I had the proximity issue on CM 11, and there was a fix I did through the terminal emulator, but it won't work on CM 12.
2. Under About phone the Model name shows "unknown".
3. Battery stats keeps showing Miscellaneous as the top use.
Other than those (which aren't deal breakers for me) CM 12 is super smooth, and very stable.
only issue i had was when not on wifi and in the playstore it would reset playstore on my bought apps list. worked fine on wifi though. even benchmarked better then kitkat with antutu. didn't get the incall issue though but i don't think the screen shut off either. will give cm12 some more time before i try it again but definately like what they have done so far

Quick update. Blank screen on calls is fixed. I updated BL and Modem to NK3, but I also am on today's nightly, so I don't know which one fixed it. As far as battery showing Misc, it's still there, but after asking around, it's not a bad thing, it's just a stat shown computed used vs real use. Model name still showing unknown.
Super smooth ROM. I recommend it even with those "bugs".
Music not in track order.
Huge bug I can't figure out. Google Play Music, and the music player that comes with CM 12 show all albums in ABC order, and not track order. I had to install PowerAmp to get them in track order. I removed all music from SD card, formatted card, and put music back on, but still in ABC order (except for PowerAmp). Any suggestions?
System settings FC and auto update
I run into an error that I cannot access system settings and since I cannot do that I cannot do download update from my phone. I noticed the error occured when Greenify tried to load, but was unsuccessful. I have uninstalled Xposed and Greenify since then, but I am still having this issue. Any thoughts?

Xposed is not compatible with 5.0.x. You probably need to do a clean install, and don't use Xposed. Since Xposed changes framework, it's likely the issue.

All three are fixed as of 1/15/2015 nightly release. I've been on it for over five hours now, and it's running perfect.
Also Separate sliders for volumes have now also been included. Example: You can set ringer and notifications as two different levels now. That's a great addition.
The only thing I can see that is an issue for me is Google Play Music, and the stock music player, show albums in ABC order, and not track number order. PowerAmp is the only one that shows track numbers, and has them in that order.

You sure you're not missing something in the settings somewhere? Because I don't think anything you could do to a ROM would change the order that Google Play Music list things in. The stock player, maybe, but not a different one....

I've been trying to check everything. It's really odd. I can download an album I bought through Google Music, and the track numbers show, and are in the right order, but any albums I put on from PC transfer don't have them. I even started fresh with a clean install, and even deleted the music files, and re-copied them over. I'm stumped.

I just had a look at mine, and it seems like it sorts by track number, when present, but it reverts to sorting alphabetically when there aren't any track numbers....
This is probably stating the obvious, but are you sure that the albums in question have track numbers associated with them? Maybe there's something in the settings on the PC side of it, and it's not set to sync track numbers?
As I said before, I'm not aware of any way a ROM could have that effect, but I'm pretty much stumped....

PC shows them. I can copy an album from the phone to the PC, and as soon as it's copied, it shows track number as a column. I'll have to keep researching.

failed to flash? bad download?
I don't know what im doing wrong. Right now I have [ROM] DomPop v.0.2 TMobile N900T - TW Lollipop flashed and running fine but when I try to flash cwm 12 it just says failed on my twrp. ive got backups of my backups so im not stressing.. bad download?
android version 5.0.1
baseband version n900tuvudnf1
twrp v 2.6.3.8 -4.3-bl
btw does this rom have spen features?
See what boot loader you have. Considering the NF1 baseband, you'll probably have to update. And no, only TW ROMs have the S-Pen features, but somewhere around here there's a thread showing different ways/apps to replicate all the S-Pen stuff on non-TW ROMS.
It was a bad download. I redl'd it and everything went smooth as butter. Would it be worthwhile searching for and downloading the latest bootloader and recovery? Or should i just stick with what's working ?

If it works why "fix" it, but if you really want to here are links to the current recoveries, and where you can get the current BL (among other current things).

I end up pointed to hltetmo through the TWRP website. With that recovery I get blocked from installing with a warning that the n900t is not supported. Several other devices are listed as supported. I got it installed with philz, but I was curious if htletmo and hlte merged in TWRP or you were just successfully using the other version. My phone is showing up as a n9005. Are you getting that as well? Any idea why n900t is showing up as unsupported?

You clicked on the link I gave you? And it took you to TWRP website? It should have just given you the downloads on Techerrata (Mirror site). Flash this through recovery, and then reboot recovery when done, and you will have the latest TWRP. This is the current version (through the link I gave for TWRP recoveries): http://www.techerrata.com/file/twrp2/hlte/openrecovery-twrp-2.8.4.0-hlte-4.4.zip

I did not and it did not. The link was correct, to htle. I ended up in this thread after having trouble with the hltetmo recovery that the TWRP site sent me to when I put in model number n900t. I just wanted to make sure your link worked with n900t and wasn't intended for a different model.

So it's working now? The one I suggested?
Sent from my SM-N9005
If i revert to kitkat, all i need is the Rom from sammobile correct? Or are there drivers or something superarte that needs flashing prior to downgrading?
In case you wonder why, my battery is draining to quick although i ensured to be at 100% and unplugged then clicked go. I also removed all files from device storage because i feel that Odin anything with a clean sdcard will giver smoother rom. Just my opinion. And also it is choppy, won't activate my common apps and i swear my data got stupid. Like slow as heck even though my 10gb plan just refreshed 5 days ago. And i hate the colors in the warning bars. Plus it doesn't show preview of name when recibing text, etc... that's what I've picked up this far. I've had it since last night 2300 est time.
Any suggestions?
I don't know if you still have the phone, if you do, I don't know whether or not you continued anyways:
for those who still need to know:
Flash the image from sammobile to the device using Odin 3.11 (or newer) on your windows pc
remember: sammobile premium access needed for archived files
Note: This should go without saying since this is a very early beta build, but I'm not responsible for any direct, or indirect damage done to any phone or accessories from flashing/ using this rom.
Also please read the entire op before installing/posting.
Welcome to:
THE ARKO PROJECT
About the Rom:
I started this whole project when I had a G5, and development was still slow. I met someone who was kind enough to get me started, and give me the basic info I needed to start my journey in development. I had always wondered if I could, but never really knew where to start.
Seeing the lack of development for such a great device. I decided to take matters into my own hands (however inexperienced they may be). So far I've created basic tweaked stock roms for the G5 & G Stylo. I never released them however because I didn't make it too far. Because the devices ended up being damged (which is unusual for me).
Anyway that brings us to here & now. This rom is also very basic (for now). I plan however to add as many features as possible & plausible. While keeping it fast, smooth, and reliable. Rest assured I test every build for at least a couple of days before posting them here. Anyway onto the good stuff.

I also plan to make a few color ui themes as well.
For example

Etc. Etc.
Feel free to request different colors as well (doesn't mean it will neccesarily happen, but you can ask
Install instructions:
*Make sure the version of TWRP you are using supports updater-scripts! This is very important! If it doesn't the rom will not flash! I'm using the latest version of multirom TWRP, and can confirm the rom flashes just fine.
1. Make a TWRP backup (optional, but heavily suggested)
2. Download and place zip on sd card
3. Do a full wipe
4. Install zip
5.Enjoy
Note: updates are disabled two minutes after booting the rom. No user action is required. The old method I had tried didn't actually work. Got the ota again a week later. However it is 100% fixed now.

I don't know if this would work since I have not really put much research in to it, but could you make the folder where the update is downloaded to read-only?

Probably not a good idea. Folder also has a few log files too. If all else fails then I'll give it a shot. I also had a thought that perhaps it isn't named anything like lgdmsclient.
After some sleep I've got a couple days off work so I'm gonna try to get multi rom working. (Haven't used it since kk early android L. That way I can just go down the list remove lg services apk's one by one and hope that either multirom or twrp could save me from a brick if anything goes wrong. Right now I have been using the delete update.zip/reboot. To keep the zip off my phone. Only problem is it takes a while for the system to realize an update is available after that. So It would be easier to remove an apk, build, flash, repeat until I find the culprit. MR will really help though as it'll save a lot of time between flashes. I really do appreciate the help/input though.
Also I've randomly found myself booted into twrp and the update try to install itself. Just luckily had zip verification on so it didn't flash.
Removed build.
