Okay I got my LG G4 from ebay H815 version. So far it looks good device, it is very fast in what I need to do and works perfectly. My primary reason for choosing LG G4 was because of Camera. I come from Lumia 1520 so camera was priority in deciding.
I've couple of questions
1) How do I select multiple images in "Gallery" and delete it. I don't see option which allows me to select multiple photos.
2) What is good music player for G4 ? I've used iPhone in past and miss the simplicity and accuracy of that player. I've all my 60GB of music collection on a 128GB storage card under MUSIC folder. I've tried Google Music and Play Music and so far don't like way it shows things. Is there any other option ?
Thanks in advance.

When in gallery you will see the delete icon on the top right of your screen. You first press the ico then proceed to select the pictures you want deleted.
As for music player I use power amp. I think its one of the best players on the market. You can select in setting which folder from your sd card you want music to play from.
1. First u need to choose what u want to do.
Press on the 3 points in left and choose - copy, lock, or delete (via recycle icon) etc.
2. I use poweramp to my music.
another vote for Power Amp as your music player
Poweramp is pretty good and has a lot of features.

I'm running a Desire build on my HTC HD2 (and loving it so far), but I'm looking for some apps that may not exist... or at least I can't find them via the Market or Google.
I'm looking for equivalent apps to programs I use for Windows Mobile:
- Conduits Pocket Player (specifically being able to load a folder of podcasts directly w/o a library, and auto keep bookmarks where I left off. Pocket Player also has a ton of options - basically looking for a loaded Droid player. Oh, also select my location for music library & don't look in any other folder)
- Resco Photo Viewer (ditto on specifying what folder to look into, and the smoothness of having thumbnails of pix)
- Phatnotes for Outlook (haven't yet found out how to synch Notes off Outlook server)
- Phoneweaver (auto audio profile switching - saw a couple freebies on Droid, but have not tested. preferably one that shows current state (day/night/vibrate) on the bar at the top. I'm using HTC profiles, but it only has silent/off/normal, I need at least 1 more for 'night' and the automatic switching part)
- Pocketshield (more powerful lock screen replacement where I can control what is showing and different ways to unlock). I'm not impressed with the lock screen at all & haven't found any place for settings yet.
- TCPMP (play divx movies, flash movies from youtube, etc)
Pretty new to Android and I have a lot of reading to do, but am pretty suprised I didn't find say a real good music player off the bat... and no powerful picture viewer with thumbnails & the like.
I got to download some music & picture players today. None quite what I wanted, but so far:
MortPlayer - allows me to manually load up a directory of music.
Yebisu player - seems ok, need to play more.
JustPictures - I was able to scan my SD card, then manually exclude all the funky stuff it found.
rock player - plays about every single video file ( dont know if it will work on your htc hd2 though, defo worth a shot )

Just read about it in another thread. Let's see what I can throw at it:
Home Movies (converted from digital camera) .wmv format (early ones for me) - nope.
Newer Home Movies (DivX avi) - looks good
Flv looks good (I think from youtube)
619 meg rip of movie (DivX) - perfect
Looks like I just need to convert some older wmv formatted stuff. Excellent, one to cross off the list!
Funny I just saw a tweet from SBSH - Weaver is coming out on Android tonight!
Getting confused in some of the threads I asked for help on, but am using WidgetLocker for my lockscreen, and Folder Organizer to keep my shortcuts clean.
Hello everyone. I've been an SGS owner for several weeks nojw and if there's one drawback about it is that media playing in Android just does not compare to the iPhone and BlackBerry, in terms of speed that is.
I'm used to having a lag of none to 0.5seconds when I click on something. Now using the SGS, I tend to wait up to 5 seconds each time I:
1. Launch a music/media player.
2. Play a song.
3. The media/music player plays the next song. (I SO MUCH MISS GAPLESS PLAYBACK BETWEEN TRACKS)
4. Choose an album from the database.
Back when I was using a BlackBerry and iPhone (had the Bold 9000 and the iPhone 3G), I could easily go through the music and choose what I wanted to listen to, within 5 to 10 seconds.
Now it takes me about 10 to 20 seconds just to go through the process of opening the app, going through the list, playing the file, and waiting for the file to play.
Don't get me wrong, I love the SGS. If given the choice to live with the LAG, I would, considering the overall package involved here. BUT, this is a new device. THIS is the Samsung FLAGSHIP for at least a year to come.
Now my kind-hearted fellow XDA-ers. Are there any recommendations you can pass along my way?
I have never rooted/changed the ROM of my device, nor tried any hacks (apart from the sound hack that resets everytime you restart the device). Bought the device from O2 a few weeks back, and that's it.
I currently have 3.9GB (1,974 files) of AAC music and
3.7GB (687 files) of MP3 format music.
well i use mixzing and it doesnt take that long...
I don't have that problem either. Is the music stored on the internal SD, or an external one? I've used the native one, except now use doubletwist (because it doesn't sit in the lockscreen
i use "3",
verry vast, and verry nice widget with album cover search, nice interface.

Just as well you didn't have a Blackberry 8900 then.
I've given up using it as a Music player.
I have researched all over and have downloaded and tried several different ripping software, but I cannot get movies to play full screen. I also can't get mp4 to play, the only movie I've been able to get playing on the defy is one that I converted into 3gp...but it wasn't full screen and was crappy playback.
Can anyone please help! Right now I am on the stock 2.1. Thank you!
I reckon you could try 'super' as it has some wide options to choose from to fit your creteria. Google it should find the download site.
Sent from my U20i using Tapatalk
I googled 'super' 'super media player' 'super media player for android' - not finding a specific app called super. Is it a media player, or an app to customize other apps (such as the stock media players)? I saw Super Manager...is this what you are refering to? Thanks...
Go to market and search vital player which I am currently using. it comes with a software codec so in most cases, you dont even have to convert them. Note, Defy doesn't come with a hardware codec so it will be sluggish compared to say galaxy S
Sweet - works great! Thanks a bunch!
Hi, don't know about Droid players --> but it seems that you found one that works for you anyway.
But regarding re-encoding softwares, I strongly recommend "handbrake".
IMO, it is the best one I've tried by far because it is really easy to take a 4:3 format video files re-encode them to 16:9 mp4s. So cropping is very easily done and videos will be played without stretching on your phone.
If you want to try it for your Defy, select the "iPhone Legacy" format setting on the right side of the main screen and uncheck "large file size".
To crop:
look at the source format let's say it is 480x360, uncheck the keep aspect ratio box and replace the 360 value by 270--> [16/9=1.77] so 480/270 also is= 1.77 meaning you have to crop [360-270] 90 pixel vertically
--> so choose "custom" cropping and then remove that much from top and/or bottom.
Choose where to save the reformatted video and start - done!!
This software is awesome and fast; it keeps my two cpu usage at 100% (for the 2 cores...) so no time wasted for conversion. And there is batch conversion as well..
Hope you try and enjoy!

Hello!
Though I have HTC phones for 2 years, I never used them for music play.
I bought the Stereoclip yeaterday and I am ''obliged'' to use the HOX to stream music as my cowon J3 BT volume is too low and crappy.
Now to focus on the question here, is there any way to play songs per folder?
I always divide my songs by genre in folders like ''Trance'' ''Rock'' ''80s''...
Ok the HTC music player can play by genre but unfortunetly my mp3s are nothing but well ID3taged + I don't want to put 500 songs in a genre.
So please how can I play by folder?
Any modified htc music app for that purpose?

I would create your own playlists with the Names of the genres you are using.
You can also add sources from DropBox etc this could be a good idea if you want to keep the space on your device free for apps etc.
To do this, goto your music play, click the "Settings" top right corner and click "Add Music source"
Hope this helps my friend.

I had the same question like you. I Gave up and installed PowerAMP...
i use a program called. music folder player

Forget the dropbox thingy with our very limited 3G network in Lebanon (20 to 100mb per month), or else I would have used Tuneinradio in my car all the time
I think I will install a 3rd party app though I would have preffered to do it with the HTC music app

Okay, heres three options and I can't think of any other way for you to do it, I hope this is helpful.
1 - Obviously you could use another music player, such as WinAmp.
2 - Sort your music into the folders you want, get a file explorer (I Use ESFileExplorer) go on that, navigate to the folder, long press and then click "Music" that folder will then be loaded by itself into the music, Long winded I know but you can still use the stock app.
3 - Create playlists and just name the playlists by the folder.
2 is probably your best bet !
Thanks dude!
I will try playlist to begin with, if it's a pain in the as* I will install a good 3rd party app.
Btw which one is the best (music quality) and has lockscreen controls?

No worries mate
Tbh never used a third party music player, as in my opinion they are never as loud or clear as the stock. Perhaps that could be sorted if you know what to do with an equaliser, but I don't haha.
Couple of Suggestions that I know are good music players:
DoubleTwist - GirlFriend uses this, its free, very smart and sleek looking, and has many functions. Including the lock screen control you asked for. I'd take a look at this.
Player Pro - Looks very capable but never had an experience with it.
Also
WinAmp - Has been around for long time, before android even existed as it was a PC music player, hense the "Win" for "Windows"
I had a good look at PlayerPro, this could be a brilliant option for you, its got everything you've previously mentioned, playing by folder, lock screen controls. etc etc
Hi mate,
here's what I did on my HTC Desire X. You create a folder with a specific name where you put all your music and then in the Music app on HTC Android, you Search for that folder. It then shows up under Albums and you are able to play only the tracks contained in that Album/folder. For the folder names, they have to be somewhat unique, if you have a lot of music on your phone because otherwise it's gonna getm mixed up.
Hope it helps!
Since Sense 4+ we can use folders play in the HTC Music app
I just found an easy solution to the problem.
1. Organize all your songs on your phone under folders as you like
2. Connect your phone to a PC
3. Open Windows Media Player
4. Select all songs from one folder (on the phone) and add to Windows Media Player Playlist
5. Rename Playlist according to your preference
6. Save the playlist
7. Copy the playlist from your music folder on your PC and paste it on your phone in the Music folder
8. The playlist will now be available on your stock music player
Hello
Looking for the perfect car app for android based head unit..
I have searched and searched, even tried and tested a good dozen now and the best I have found that suits me is Pi Player buuuut its not perfect because when you browse through folders, it only gives you half the screen, horizonatally at least though, unlike the stock music player which gives you 1/4 of the screen vertically which is awful.
Some apps I have tried take far too long load up, some even have to import all the music from my USB stick every single time I launch the app (Switch the car on, which is terrible)
So what I want:
A Android Music app for my car so needs to run in landscape mode, that has good support of playing from USB storage and has a browse folder feature.. which must have a *good interface for making browsing through all the folders and then individual songs nice and easy*.
Ideally will have some extra features such as auto play on power on, widgets etc.....
Thats the main thing, just want it to obviously load my music instantly like Pi Player does but give me the whole of screen to browse through my folders making it nice and easy within a nice interface
Any recommendations please fire them away

you tried Viper4android ?
SoundCloud and Shazam.
Poweramp
you can use Xtunes music app. It is good for music downloading as well. Refer this forum page for more details.

I think Xtunes have there official page also i think you can try that also here is the link to them. Xtunes.
I also use Xtunes and IMHO is the best app! :fingers-crossed: In this Website i found a lot of information!
On my phone I enjoy Music Player. It's icon is a black circle with a red ring and a play icon in the center. I guess you can use multiple players and go through each one to determine what works best for you, which has the best appearance, customization options, ease of use, etc.
Music app
Hi, try Pulsar, I’ve been using it on my phone for a while in favour of the stock app which has a crap GUI. This app is basic (what you want on a head unit) free and no adds. It will auto play when connected to BT but you can disable this feature. Change tab items (Albums, Folders etc.) and reorder them. Has big button interface ideal for a head unit.
Poweramp Pro
