When I try to attach a video from my gallery to send over kik , kik forces me to trim the video to 3 seconds if its 30 second to to 2 minutes long. If i try to attach a 10 minute, I can only trim and attach 30 seconds . I have an lg motion that allows me to trim and attach 27 seconds from a 45 second video. Why can't I attach the whole video?? My friend has an iphone 5 and he can attach anything in its entirety.

You're probably recording the videos with a high resolution, while they most likely have a size limit for uploads. Record the videos from Kik instead and see how long it can be.

Hi, I tried to search but couldn't find anything about this problem.
The other day I was trying to record video at a kid's birthday party, and the video was somewhat long, around 6-7 minutes. Without any warning, the video stopped recording and went straight to the home screen. I tried to play the video file, but it shows up as a gray box on the phone and doesn't play on either my phone or my computer. I tried various video players.
This happened to me again, I went up to wine country and was taking a video from my car mount of the scenery as I drove down the windy roads. I stopped one video at around 5-6 minutes, the second one I didn't stop it that soon and the phone went to home screen again. Video was unplayable, same as last time.
I tried to replicate the issue recording videos, tried to push the home screen or any other buttons to replicate the issue - all times the video saved if you stopped the recording one way or another. I even tried to send myself an email to see if notifications could stop the video, didn't do anything. I recorded till around 7 minutes, and the phone went to home screen around 6:52. Same result as before.
All the files that were unplayable weren't unusually large, around 300-355 megs I believe. I'm running the stock 8gb card, and I'm rooted with baked snack 9.6. Free space on card was around 3-4 gigs each time, free space on phone roughly 80 mb. I'm using mpeg-4, all other videos I record are fine.
So is there anyways to fix this problem? It's kind of hard to always stop the phone at the right time to avoid this, and I'm wondering what's causing it in the first place. Could it be that the phone's ram is reaching capacity?
When I open the gallery app, it takes 10+ seconds to display my albums. Is this just how it is and I need to get used to it, or is something going on?
Do you have a million pictures?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
I guess I do have a lot of pictures. I didn't think it would take that long every time I open the Gallery app, though. Would pinning all the albums for offline help?
the more albums you have the slower it loads, if most of your albums are online, and judging by your second post they are, then it'll take even longer, depending on your connection, to load.
making them offline would help, but still if you have a lot of pictures it's just going to take time.
i have 16 albums, with 6 being online, and my app loads in maybe 2-5 seconds.
Completely stock on the latest factory image, having terrible camera app speed problems. I've recorded some times on speed, see below.
From a fresh boot, opening the camera (time until I can actually take a picture in seconds)
1: 6.7
2: 5.7
3: 7
Swapping from photo to video mode (time until I can actually press record in seconds)
1: 8
2: 7.5
3: 7.7
Swapping from video mode back to photo mode (time until I can take a picture in seconds)
1: 4
2: 5.7
3 4.9
From screen off, double tapping power button (time until I can take a picture)
1: 10
2: 8.5
3: 8.9
Taking a photo in "HDR on" will freeze the phone for about 15 seconds. And I'm not talking about "processing" I'm saying when I press capture, my whole phone becomes unresponsive for 15 seconds.
Compared to my friends pixel and friends pixel XL, my app speed is literally 2 to 3 times slower, and completely unacceptable. I can't capture quick moments, I've attached photos of the screens my phone will get stuck on. (Edit: chrome is not allowing me to upload photos, I'll post them later.)
Has anyone had these problems? Any suggestions?

Forgot to mention that is as after a full clean flash. The checksum for the factory image is correct, but im going to re-download it and flash it on linux machine.
If you flash back to stock and it's that slow then I'd say it's hardware related. If reflashing does not work, I hate to say it, maybe call Google.
Hi!
I got a Samsung Galaxy J7 2016, using an unofficial Lineage OS from xda forums.
Everything works fine but the camera, and all the apps using it have this bug.
When i restart the phone everything works fine until my phone goes to sleep and thus the porcessor goes into deep sleep.
After that let's say i record a 5 sec clip.
I watch the video and this is what i see
The clip has 4-5 minutes or a random number of minutes, the first 5 seconds ( if i recorded a 23 second clip it would have been the first 23 seconds of the clip) show the very first frame along with the audio, after that the video timer jumps to the end and I see the rest of the frames but without the audio (because it had already been played at the start ).
This thing only happens if the device goes into deep sleep.
Any help?
Hi everyone,
I modded my redmi note 8t and tried installing the Gcam and a after while this problem started to show up. Whenever I record a video it is stored like a longer video (actually from something like 30 sec it is stored a 60 hours video) with all screentime but the time recorded composed by the first frame of the video recorded (so i have 60h of first frame and the last 30 sec of my video) and the audio starting from the beginning. I started having this problem after changing my ROM to pixelexperience and installing the Gcam (I've done the last thing after some days from the change of ROM and the problem didn't show up before). It also changed over time having at first 3 minutes added to the video, then 1 minute, 1 hour and lastly 50/60 hours. I have this problem even if i record with whatsapp or telegram camera, although videomessages of the last work as they should. Anyone knows how to fix it?
