MMS Pictures deleted - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4

My wife has a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 From AT&T
Model Number: SAMSUNG-SM-N910A
Android Version: 5.0.1
Kernel Version :
3.10.40-416876
dpi#SWDD3022 #1
Build Number :
LRX22C.N910AUCuCOC4
The problem is whenever a text is sent with a picture she's able to open it real fast and then it immediately deletes the picture and she can't save it or anything along those lines. It returns that it's unable to save to SD card, so I went and bought a 12 gig card and threw it in and it still gives the same issue, so it's not a space issue. Any help with this would be appreciated.

[Q] Gallery not reading pics on phone storage with MIUI rom

Hi,
I just flashed the MIUI Rom(see version below) a week ago and I'm having an issue with pictures. Most of the pictures I took before I changed ROMs I saved to the phone storage because my SD card is only 4GB. The problem is since I've changed to this new ROM I can't view the pictures on the phone storage in the gallery app. The preview box shows up in the gallery app for the pictures on the phone storage(path is G:\DCIM\100MEDIA on the computer) but when I select it nothing happens. The only thing the gallery app is reading is any pics on the SD card. Is anyone else having this issue? Can anyone help me out here??? Thanks.
Android version - 2.3.5
Baseband version - 2.15.00.09.01
Kernel version - 2.6.36.6-cyanogenmod+
Build number MIUI-109230
It is a known issue for MIUI US. I think a workaround would be to use a file explorer, but I can't really tell you since I keep my pictures on my 2 gb SD card.

Thanks for the response. Guess I'll post something in the MIUI thread and see if they can do something about it.

Hie I'd like to know if there's anyone who has a similar device and if so, how can i enable the cellular signal on it as it cannot acknowledge the presence of a Sim card.
I don't think there's any such thing as a GT-N7100X?

On the dial pad try typing *#197328640#. A menu will appear and there you can find a menu to manually select the channel. I don't know though if it stays after rebooting the phone. Good luck.

This device is Live Demo Unit , as mentioned.
and ... doesnt have RF modem part . just where must be modem chips n stuff - empty place on board.
Like a show car without engine. Also SD card doesnt work , and internal storage ~ 5GB
but , it can be flashed with stock fw. ( i mean non-demo fw )

Actually, the SD card works, and flashing it with a 16GB standard Note 2 PIT file gives you the 16gb's of internal memory. I currently have 10GB's of free internal space, and a 64GB Sandisk Ultra Micro SD card on mine.
The only real problem I am facing is that USB OTG does not work. Has anyone managed to fix theirs?
Many thanks

[Q] Convert Note II's Internal Memory to USB Mass Storage

Hi,
My friend accidentally deleted a video (2GB+ size) from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100. This video is very important to me.
And I really need to recover it so badly.
I have sucessfully tried to follow from this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34185439 and this youtube tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mwn20Udp5YA but still I can't recover the video.
I have the best file recovery application but it will work 100% only if the source will be USB Mass Storage.
This is why I want to know how will I convert/turn my internal memory to USB mass storage.
Please help me.
TIA!

I have the same problem:
I accidentally deleted some very important files from my INTERNAL download dir. In order to try to recover these files I need my Phone to work as MASS STORAGE. The problem is that I cannot select this on my Note 2. I m looking for a way to make it work. Can someone help?
Details of my note 2:

Random problems all of suddon...

Before: Everything was working fine, I was using the Eclipse rom ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2209909 )
Between: Tried a couple of roms. (I cannot remember what order) I know I used a Touchwiz addon theme sort of thing on top on the eclipse rom,
then tried another rom called CM10TOUCHWIZ or something similar to that,
then installed a rom called "Liquid Smooth" I think?
Then I installed a alpha version of a HTC Sense 4.0 ROM. (can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475395)
I flashed every single rom with clockwork mod and between every flash I have cleared cache and wiped all data/factory reset.
Now: I've flashed Eclipse at the end of my spree with the dark/inverted Gapps the forum provided me, and I wiped cache/factory reset.
The problems:
1. I don't even know what to call this... If I open the camera app and take pictures or videos, they are saved (or sometimes they don't save) as just a big rectangle of grey, all the picture is, is grey.
And if I take a video, a message pops up saying "Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped." and the camera (or gallery?) force closes right back to the home screen.
2. I'm this constant message in my notifications by "Google search" saying "Insufficient storage available"
I am VERY POSITIVE that I have storage, My android has no SD Card (No SD Card slot) I have 28GB of storage available. No way.
3. The performance menu in the settings is gone.
I don't know if this is a problem, but the last 300 times I flashed the eclipse rom, there would ALWAYS be a performance button at the very bottom of the settings. It's gone.
And along with that, some other things have changed. There is a lock screen button in settings that I don't remember (Probably was always there) and the option to change the navigation bar layout is nowhere to be found? Am I missing something?
4. "Franco's Kernel Updater" won't auto-flash the kernel.
I will press auto-flash and nothing happens. Not even a error, nothing.
but yet It still downloads the zip?
I was and still am having this problem. Why?
I'm using the free version of the app

Question: WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY. I hate these problems, they really get on my NERVE!
What is wrong, and what do I do to fix them?
I'm afraid I'm not going to get a fast answer (Yes, I'm impatient)
Just to solve everything I'm doing a literal reset on my phone.
Any operator, may close this thread.

[Serious Bugs] Android 4.4.2 Galaxy Note 2

Hello, folks
Recently I upgraded to Android Kitkat 4.4.2 (Indian Version) on my Samsung Galaxy Note II, I have come across a serious BUG after upgrading to Android 4.4.2.
BUG Details: Memory card cannot be read internally
For Instance while connected to Winscp via SSHDroid new folder cannot be created in Memory Card but at the same time new folder can be created in Phone Memory
I guess writing has been restricted
It's not over..... While downloading videos via YouTube Downloader 4.2 (Dentex) when custom folder chosen to memory card downloading gets failed
Again I guess writing has been restricted
I tried 3-4 different memory cards guessing problem might be in memory card (formatted as well)
Flashed my Note II via Hard Reset
Tried all ways and I have come to conclusion the BUG is in Android 4.4.2 Kitkat (Indian Version)
Kindly share if you have encountered same BUG as well (Specially Indian Consumers)
Regards,
Note II

It's not a bug, it is included in the Kitkat update for security purposes.
There is a fix for that but you have to be rooted.

Bro What kind of security is it? I cannot copy my own files into my memory card
iQuran cannot read my memory card in which has supporting files
I cannot save/download videos from YouTube Downloader to my memory card
What rom are you using?
You can simply transfer your files using a comupter...
Then paste it to your memory card..
That's what I did when I'm on Stock Kitkat ROM...
If you want to apply the SD Card fixed root your phone first.

Take a look at my signature
They did what. You can't copy from internal to external memory. Omg i see no 4.4 on my device.
Edit : ok i understand now.

you can copy or move anything with stock file manager My Files..only third party application has no permission to write.
xplore file manager can handle files in sd card too...
Google chose to block write access, for third party apps (those not pre-installed), to external storage; except in their own directories.
There is currently a loophole which some developers have updated their apps to use, but with future iterations of android this will likely be blocked.
This change has been primarily to keep the sdcard clean; un-installing third party apps had left orphaned files the sdcard and resulted in a poor user experience. Personally I'm not sure how viable an explanation this is when you weigh it up against the affect to the user experience of preventing 3rd.P apps from accessing anything outside of their own granted space, or the space granted to a partner app. I think this is either google being evil, trying to lower the value of an sdcard slot to drive OEMs to make devices without one (for various profitable purposes) OR because google goofed on their first time really deciding what access they should have (previously there was no formal access rights definition, it was a free-for-all.)
Hold this space
You can install my apks from play store to back up apk in external card and quick office for editing and saving dox in external card without rooting from play store..enjoy

you are right, writing of sdcard has been restricted in android 4.4.2
Is it possible to revert back to 4.3?

The easiest solution is getting root access and using the sdfix app; reverting is overkill if you just want 3p rw access back.
Happened to me yesterday. I was goin to format my fone, so i took a backup of some apps on helium(Since im not rooted)on my sd card. I formatted my fone. After that wen i went in carbon folder, it was empty. No data.
