[Q] Phone stuck and keeps loading at "Android is upgrading" (starting application)
I need help here.
I just accidentally freeze Apus launcher with titanium backup.
Because of that my phone stuck at "Android is upgrading" screen after the phone automatically restart.
Is there any way to revert it back or change it.
I still can use my CWM recovery.
that's the only thing i can use and open right now.

Hi everyone, i have just installed the 'Boot animation' application from the android store, this is a rooted app, and yes my device is rooted. I installed one of the new boot animations, i did not think there would be any problems...since the application is MEANT for creating a new boot animation for your device. I restarted my phone, the animation has NOT changed, and yet my device has frozen on the 'Samsung' logo. I have tried re-flashing my jailbreak through odin, but same outcome. Also for some reason i cant get to recovery mode, only download mode. Anyone have any ideas? i cant resort to going back to my stock rom, because i cant lose my data/calander. Thanks again! - Kes
Hi all and thanks in advanced for all the help.
I'm not terribly new to the forums and have been installing roms on my SGH T-989 for a couple years now. Recently I have been having a bootloop problem with any and all Roms/Kernals.
I have tried restoring back to stock/unroot and still boot loops. I am able to restore to my previous backup, so I can still use the phone but I can't install any nightlies or new roms. After installing, everything seems to install fine, it boots with the splash screens then when it gets to the "android is upgrading optimizing app ## of ##" it works till the last one then says "finishing boot". At this time it will freeze and restart.
I am running android 4.2.2 AOKP nightly 2013-6-30; kernal version 3.0.72-cyanogenmod-g2c1e1a3; with T989UVMC6 radio
So today my phone tells me there's a new official system update to Android 4.4 KitKat. It was already downloaded so I just started the install. After it finished my phone restarted as it's supposed to. When it gets to the screen after the boot animation that says "Android is upgrading" and optimizing apps, it just restarts. It's still restarting as we speak. Sometimes before it gets to that screen. Is there anything I can do to save it without wiping it and starting fresh?

Nevermind, after many many restarts it stayed on the optimizing apps screen and it's finishing it up now
Optimizing App boot loop?
Tried updating from 5.02 to 5.1 using wugfresh nexus tool kit. (which I have used with all previous updates 4.4-5.0, 5.0-5.01, 5.01-5.02 and has worked great) I was rooted so I flashed the system image (like I usually do then re root...)via toolkit. Update finished without errors. Phone rebooted and went into "updating apps" mode, finished then rebooted and went into "Optimizing Apps" routine. All seemed fine. After all apps are optimized the phone appears to reboot and repeats the same optimzation. Every time once finished optimizing apps, the phone repeats.
I can boot into recovery or bootloader still but I want to know what Is the best solution to fix this so I don't further mess up my device(if that's even possible)
thankyou!
Same problem for me on both Samsung tab 2 7.0 and my nexus 5 both running 5.1 roms.
I had the same issue. Flashing also boot.img solved the issue.
After that it is recommended to clear cache.
New P607t won't restore from backup "Unfortunately [Every app] has stopped" on boot
It's baseband version p607tuvank2,
I successfully installed TWRP 2.8.7.0 via Odin
I have two separate backups, one pre root and one after root. Same problem with both backups.
I rooted just by installing superuser through twrp.
I tried installing aosp lollipop, by copying it to the external sd and installing (via twrp), but when I booted it, it wouldn't make it past the initial loading screen. So I decided to recover from the backups that I made but when I boot it up, it goes through the samsung bootscreen, then the tmobile bootscreen then I get a ton of error messages that all say "Unfortunately [a bunch of system apps] has stopped." And I press the OK button on each one of them until the screen is just black. When I press the power button, the standard menu comes up with the power off, restart and airplane mode options.
Maybe I should ODIN back to a stock ROM? But I can't seem to find a download for the right baseband/build !
Please help!
