Hello everyone,
Just got my Zenfone 2 and I want to transfer all of my text messaged, including the photo attachments to my new Zenfone 2. My old phone is the Samsung Galaxy Light, with Jelly Bean. I also want to transfer my contacts but I want to keep the grouping I have made on my old Galaxy Light.
I could transfer the text messages but not the photo attachments. I also cannot get all of my message to go either. Some of the conversations will have missing newer text.
Thanks.
Is Data Transfer not pulling it all across? You could try this one and see if it gets it done for you: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lenovo.anyshare.gps
The CLONEit option sounds like it might be just what you are looking for.
Does anyone know an iPhone to zenfone 2 text transfer?

My service provider is Telus. And I'm trying to look for a new SMS text message application. Because I am unable to send pictures through a text like I used to with my older phones, nor can I receive them directly without having to sign into my account online.
I'm just curious to know if there is a way to get picture messages directly to my phone and also send pictures to other phones if I needed to.
Thanks in advance!
You mean MMS? In the menu choose New->MMS (It's first option with SMS below it). That will allow you to send business cards, pictures and videos with your message.
Try this
SMSBuddy 1.0

External Mirror [MSI]

Hey all, I have had my Gnex for about two months now and I have noticed a recurring issue. When someone tries to send me a contact card through MMS, the phone will download the message, but won't show anything after, nothing to long press to save. I came from a Samsung Captivate and the Samsung messaging app would allow the sending and receiving of vcf files through mms. Anyway to do this with the Gnex? Thanks!
Look and make sure your messaging app isn't saving them in a funky place, if you still can't find it, try sending it through email.

It seems weird there's not more people complaining about that, is it really not possible to send/receive vCards over mms with Galaxy Nexus (I have Jelly Bean 4.1.1)? There's no option to send contact information over mms and when I receive one, I just get a blank attachment that I can't click Screenshot: www DOT shrani DOT si/f/24/c3/4t9GXHsZ/vcard.jpg (replace DOT with an actual dot). Also for some reason, at message options I don't have the usual 'Save attachment' option.
bump :/
I hate bumping, but I really can't find anything about this problem, even after searching for hours. Anyone has any tips?
Is there really no solution for this?

I ran into this problem myself and duplicated it on all of the Galaxy Nexus phones . I think there is something native messaging app that cannot read vcards. I installed handcent sms and it works perfectly.
I'm having an annoying issue when I send or recieve an MMS it shows up as a slideshow in my stock MMS app. I'm using the Galaxy Note II SGH-I317M from Telus with Android 4.1.2. This issue was also in the 4.1.1 version. I've used custom roms and this only seems to be an issue in the Touchwiz releases.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? If so, have you encountered a fix for it?
Thanks!
The only thing I can tell you is to not send text with the image and only send one picture at a time. Tell your friends not to send text with the picture and to send only one at a time. It is annoying the only other thing to do is save the images to your device.

That's something I noticed on my old Galaxy Nexus... If text was included with the image, it would show as a slideshow. With the Note II it doesn't seem to matter. Whether or not there's text included with the image, it still shows as a slideshow.

This drives me nuts! Hard to believe it's really this way and there is no fix. Well, other than using another Texting app, which i've tried and don't really want to do. I wish there was a way to fix this on the stock app.
Because of this issue I started using Go SMS Pro. It's far better in almost all aspects and doesn't show MMS as slideshows. I love the pop-up messages without exiting other apps as well.
Hopefully someone can help me. I accidentally deleted a text off my phone and with my Galaxy Note 2 I was able to go into the contact and slick on History and it show the most recent however I can't find that option on my Note 4. Is there an option and I'm just not seeing it?

Anyone?
I had a note 2 too and don't remember ever having that option. Why not just use hangouts and save the texts remotely from now on?
Download the vzw message+ app...it pulls text history from the cloud it restored text from months ago when I frisg got my note ...i m currently using textra myself which doesn't do the cloud thing but try the vze message + it may help.
On Verizon you can go to the web site and log in and go to text. They keep all the texts.
On the Note 4 in Samsung messanger you can try, go to menu / settings / restore messages
Hello
I have a Galaxy S5 and just got a S6 Edge. I used the Samsung Smart Switch app and transferred everything from the S5 to the S6, including text messages. However, when I open the text messaging software on the S6, my old text messages are not there. I'm assuming I'm going to have to import them somehow, but can't figure out how. Google no help and I didn't see anything on this forum using the search function.
Could someone tell me how to retrieve the transferred text messages and import them (or whatever I have to do) to get them appear on the new S6 messaging software?
Thanks for your time.
I contacted Samsung directly and got an answer. If anyone else has this problem, just do the transfer with the Smart Switch app again, but only with the messages the second time. Then it should work.
