Screen won't turn off during call - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone else have this issue? I put the phone right up to my face but the screen stays on and never goes out. Any ideas? Just factory reset and still doing it.

Screen just won't turn on...different from SOD

Hey guys, recently my tilt 2 has been having problems with the SOD and soft resetting would usually do the trick, however, today my tilt 2's screen just won't turn on. The device is on and even after soft resetting and taking the battery out and putting it back in, the screen still doesn't turn on. The phone still vibrates to indicate that it is being powered on or when it is being soft resetted, but the screen still remains blank. Any ideas on what is wrong and what I can try to fix this?

Press the reset button while holding the volume down key. See if it boots into the tri-colored screen for the bootloader. If you can actually see that screen, then just flash a new ROM. If you can't, then do a warranty exchange.

Yeah, your screen probably crapped out...like what happened recently to my HD2. It's like HTC wanted our phones to suddenly fail in October, 2011, for the new WP7 devices.

[Q] ParanoidAndroid Phone Problem

So I have PA v2.54STABLE and whenever I call or recieve a call and my screen turns off, I can't turn it back on and my nothing comes up on my screen but my buttons light up. Does anyone know what happened or how I can fix this/prevent it? Basically my screen just doesn't come back on and I have to restart my whole phone

Unlocking phone causes screen to go haywire

I haven't seen a thread with this issue, so was wondering if it was just me. I've had my nexus since day 1, pre-ordered, etc. Lately, when I unlock the phone, the touchscreen will go nuts. What I mean is that the screen will register touches randomly on the panel at very high rates of speed and so it causes apps to open and just start loading things as if I was touching it. Othertimes the screen will shake as if it was having a siezure. what I typically do is i hit the power button again to turn off the screen, then hit it again to turn on and the problem goes away. Anyone else getting this? or just a defective unit? clearing cache and factory reset has not helped either. It randomly appears.
going to call tech support and see if i can't get a replacement unit.

Need help fixing 5x with glitching screen

What happened is that i opened an app and then the phone went to sleep, when I unlocked it the screen started to glitch and appear to pressing on the screen for itself. I tried pressing the home button but it was lagging and nothing really happened so I held down the power button and reset the phone. When the phone booted back up and I had to enter my screen lock, I noticed that it wasn't corresponding with where I was pressing, also I pressed on the screen with a quick touch, it appeared that multiple touches registered all over the screen. Since I couldn't get past the screen lock, I turned off the phone, went into Recovery and factory reset the phone. Even after the factory reset, the problem persists so I can't even go through the setup wizard. The phone is completely stock by the way, is there any way to fix this? Or am I going to have to send it back?

Black Screen on some Reboots...

I am wondering if anyone has experienced the same issue that happens to my phone every few weeks. I don't usually reboot my phone, but sometimes I do. Occasionally, when the phone starts, the screen is completely black. If I shine a flashlight on it, I can sometimes faintly see the screen. The only thing that can resolve it is holding down the power button for 10 seconds so it restarts.
Sometimes when it happens, if I'm in the car etc, I can't tell if the phone is on or off, so it's a bit of a headache.
I've completely reset my phone and flashed an Android 10 Image a few months ago, but it still occurs. ( This was a full factory reset with clearing cache etc in recovery ). I've never rooted the phone, but have always had bootloader unlocked.
Anyone else ever experience this?

I'm still on Android 9 and occasionally this happens to me too. I rarely reboot so I don't notice it that much but it does happen. If I hold the power button down I can feel the vibrate feedback for the power menu presumably. I've never tried to troubleshoot it investigate because it happens too infrequently for me
