My tab 3 10.1 p5200 has this wierd touch screen lag. Touch screen works just fine. But most of the time its just unresponsive.
Examples:
1. I cant even complete the pattern unlock, i get wrong code error, because the touch stops working half way when i am completing the whole pattern.
2. I cant move the apps from the app drawer to desktop, because when i touch and hold the app icon in the app drawer it sometime opens the app itself and sometimes the app just places itself even when i am holding it.
3. The backspace in keyboard dosnt delete the text even if im holding the key.
SOMETIMES restarting the tab fixes the problem but thats only temporarily.
Basically the touch and hold fucntions seems to be buggy all of a sudden.
My device isnt rooted so i doubt if it could be affected by virus.
Any advice?

Just want to know if people have experienced weird problems with their touch screen on their Gnexus, i've had this phone for less than 1 week, and the problem arised twice.
the screen just dont reach to your finger touch, normally you swipe left or right in the home screen, and the pages just moves to the next screen centered, but the screen just stops when ever you let go, and on home screen when you push and hold an icon or widget the bin pops up at top to discard the item, on my phone, just a slight touch and no need to touch and hold will do the same thing. it's just like the screen has gone malfunction randomly with the screen registering a touch. I also think this happed when it is connected to a non samsung charger, but not too sure if i had the charger connected.
to rectify the problem, you need to power down the phone and on.
not too sure if this is a bug, or problem with the display, it's very hard to discribe it, but it's not normal.

Every so often, the touchscreen is way off when I am typing meaning that when I press a key, it thinks I am pressing the screen nearly an inch to the left. So if i press delete, it presses space bar. If i try to push P it registers G on the keypad. The only way to fix it is to restart. It is usually fine for a while, sometimes days, before it happens again. I am using the stock LG Keyboard. Just didnt know if anyone else has run into this issue or how to get to stop happening.
Hope someone can help, I've searched but couldn't find the answer.
I have a really annoying problem in that if I lock my phone then unlock it, if i open an already open app, the bottom key bar (which contains the back key, home key and open apps key) is unresponsive apart from the home button. If I'm in messaging, the keyboard will be as well. If I press the back button for example, it shows it being pressed but does nothing. Sometimes the Google search thing pops up when you hold the home button. To remedy the only way is to press home then open again without locking the screen. Any ideas?
Ya samething happens to my phone also but not always. Wait buddy you will get more bugs like this its sony.
RichRoberts44, what is your FW? Do you have root? Did U unlock bootloader? More info is needed to even try to find a solution
This happens to me also from time to time and I don't even use the key bar, I use gestures with a 3rd party app. When this happens only home gesture works. It does happen rarely though.
The same problem began on my phone two weeks ago. Over the last two weeks, it increased. I had to restart my phone all the time. Besides the two issues you describe, I had two additional issues:
The clock on the lock screen didn't always appear when I managed to turn on the phone.
When I put the phone to sleep, I often couldn't turn it back on for several minutes.
Over the two weeks, all the problems occurred still more often. At the end, it was so annoying, that I backed up all my stuff and did a factory reset and recovered the backup. Now it is working perfectly again.

I have a Tab Pro 10.1 and I'm very happy with it except a strange form of freezing (sometimes) when using or exit the browser.
The screen does not register my movements when sweeping from side to side (scroll through the home screens) but just jumps a bit. (It's like the touch stop working and let go of the screen) I can pull down the notification menu but nothing happens when i sweep from side to side (except the beginning of the movement and the home screen just moves a little)..
When I turn off the screen and turn it on again it works again. I've cleared the data on both the browser and my launcher (nova),
but without result. Could this be hardware related? The tab is not rootad and I'm running stock 4.4.2

Since you can pulldown the notification bar it sounds like its some software / app messing things up, try removing all the widgets off your launcher and see if it still happens...
or try another launcher.

I factory reset the tablet yesterday but it hang again with Nova. I uninstalled Nova and I'm back on stock launcher but no freeze so far..
It would be a pity if Nova hangs my tablet, because I like Nova :- /
Well.. The tablet hang yesterday again. Found out that pressing the upper frame on LCD will make the screen freeze and switching screen on/off will make it "unfreeze".. Pressing on the upper frame and LCD freeze.. Hardware issue?

Hmm sounds like it, pressing anywhere on the bezel shouldn't cause a freeze, there could be a short somewhere and power on / off resets the screen power (and resetting the short),
best bet would be to have Samsung replace it.

So today while using my Xperia Z5p, a specific part of the screen does not respond anymore to touch. It is exactly at the point the "send" button is sitting on when your keyboard is open in Whatsapp, LINE, WeChat, etc messengers. I tried diagnostics and I can wipe the whole screen clear, so I assume my screen is not dead anywhere.
HOWEVER, if I start a touch on the point I described earlier (beside power button), it does not respond to my touch. I can only start my touch on another point and drag pass it just fine.
Also, it DOES respond on some windows, I've found that it works normally when I pull my notification bar down. However, everywhere else it does not work.
It goes back to normal if I reboot my device, but after some time it occurs again. It has occured 3 times in 9 hours today.
Anyone else with the same issue? It does not respond if my starting point of touch is there, and does nothing even if I drag across the whole screen, so long as I started my touch at the specific point.
