I downloaded and installed the latest uppdate to my Z1 compact, and i got a strange problem.
When i get a call, i can't answer.
The screen is black, and no slider??
I have tested almost everything, repair thru sony pc companion, but no luck.
Anyone ho has a tips for a solution?

i have the xperia arc love the phone , but hate some issue. Ine issue is it offten losses the data signal. i have to poere the device off and on to correct. it also frezzes and cant do anything for a few minutes. i also finds it heats up. does anyone have these issue and have any ideas how to fix aswell the iphone has the option to press the home button and power button to reboot doe the arc have the same option thanks.
How about trying to repair your phone using SEUS? You might lose data but chances are that they might also solve your problem.

LOL! Sorry, SEUS stands for Sony Ericsson Update Service. You most likely would have installed this on your computer when you purchased your phone.

Hi I bought a sony xperia z1 compact about 3 weeks ago, installed apps (whatsapp, facebook, etc... nothing out of the ordinary) and the next day the touchscreen right after i pressed the on button started flickering as if i was touching it and didnt respond to my touch, the problems was easily solver by turning off the screen and turning it on again (not the phone, just the screen) but it repeated several times and just at the beginning with the screensaver. I tried erasing apps but nothing. I changed the phone and got a new one today, this time i only installed whatsapp and outlook and the exact problem appeared!! I uninstalled outlook the problem persisted. I have no idea what to do, i did a system restore and im waiting to see it if fails again.
Any ideas o what it may be or any suggestions???? i dont know i i should ask for a new one (i{m afraid the same thing will happen again) or take it to sony.

The similar problem I have faced in my canvas 3d. It means ur touch screen started to nalfunction and the problem will increase over time.. use ur warranty to get it replaced..

but this i the second sony xperia z1 compact I'll be replacing.... with just a day of use.... so both of them are faulty? or is it too much of a coincidence????

I dont have this prob in my z1c so it is not normal.. may be u r getting a faulty phone from a defective batch.. before buying z1c, I bought galaxy s4 and i replaced the phone 4times and every time i got display issue.. so get ur phone replaced again and again untill the problem solves..
I bought my SW2 at amazon.com in US, but my house actually is in Brazil. So, forget the warranty.
I have tried to update my SW2 in PC F#@%$ Companion days ago and now I have a paper weight now. Why? Because my SW2 just die after the update. It seems to be in DFU mode forever. the USB recognize when I active the DFU command. So far, so good. But when I try (10.001 times) to update again, It shows the error message that can´t update my SW2.
So, I have been trying to figure out something that help me to bring my SW2 back from the ashes. But I see nothing in the forums, just nices faces and apps
Any help, tip or pray to help me? Can I upload some original firmware (where???)... by dfu-util or something?
I would like to know this too. There is no sw2 option in PC companion at all so I have no chance to fix mine after advice from Sony support bricked it.
Is there a way to reflash or reupgrade the sw2? Because SONY PC Companion does not support sw2. Also, Sony Update Service is no longer supported by SONY. I don't have any idea now on how to repair my sw2 as I only bought it on gray market. I mean there is no warranty covered.
Btw, my sw2 still works but there is no display or not showing anything on the screen. I'm sure that its still working because I can install apps and it vibrates when someone text me. Its still turning on and off and connects on my phones. I doubt that the screen is defective but when i connect the sw2 to another phones, sw2 outputs a progress bar and when its near to 100%, the progress bar fades and no more outputs on the screen after the progress bar.
Sorry for my bad english. I hope someone can help us about this issues.

Have you tried holding the power button for 15+ seconds? This should hard reset the watch and it should prompt you to pair it again with your phone. This should also update the firmware of the watch, if yours is outdated.

Yes I already tried it, but the same things happen after pairing to another phones. If I can only reflash it like SUS can do, but its already ended and PC Companion does not support SW2. :crying:
hey to all
one problem with friends Xperia M (c1905). The phone works, receiving mails, sms, calls everything but the screen don't works. it acutly response(sound) when you press with finger but nothings is showing on screen and no light.
If the screen is broken then can't response when you handling with finger.
Please help if anybody was having this problem and has resolved.
I do the master reset with sony pc suite, but still don't work.

Well then, it seems like the display is broken. I suggest you to bring it back to the shop as we technically can't resolve it :c Sorry though, but hopefully the warranty should cover it as I assume the phone hasn't dropped and got damaged in any way. Good luck!

Here's the summary: the display remains dark after turning on the phone, only the top center notification light shines red when connected to the computer. The device isn't found nor recognized in xperia companion, flashtool and windows commander.
Any tips are welcome, thanks.

-remove the back cover and force charge the battery
if batt charged, Use Test point method. google => sony z1 compact test point
