Hi, there's any change from your releases and Cyanogem mod releases for Xperia ZL? I couldn't find any info about modifications made by FreeXperia Xperia. So i guess it is the same version as available at CM website, correct?

FXP239 released
I was wondering, is there a particular reason why the phone (C6503) is unable to successfully connect, neither automatically nor manually to a given mobile network after a normal (lengthy) network search? I've had other people here report that they experience this very same problem on their ZL as well, both on 10.1 and 10.2. All it says is: "Cannot connect to this network right now. Try again later."
Another question is, would it be possible to add the network types (4G, 3G and 2G) beside each available network as it is displayed on original Sony Firmware? You can see an icon beside each network type you choose from. That way, if you need to use only one specific "tower" or band during a given time, you could do so, without having to manually switch the radio on or off between 4G, 3G and 2G manually.
I hope you get what I'm trying to say here...
Thank you FXP for your hard work and dedication. Your work is really appreciated.

Any chance to get new "Color/gamma calibration" feature working on fusion3 devices?
Does it need some kernel changes to be implemented first?

Very good question, I'd also like to know this.
Be nice if the libs etc. were updated to .67 and the audio paths fixed so Spirit FM has audio every boot not 1 in 3... and Autobrightness - works sometimes, not others!
I also find that building one's own CM 10.2 fails to boot fully since late September, gets as far as "Android is updating apps and loops - if anyone has any ideas... appreciated

i have 2.67 blob ready, but i need to test on Tab Z Wifi
Spirit FM ?
AutoBrightness is wonky, sometime sensor report wrong value i think sony have some kind of workaround somewhere
if it doesnt boot, it's your fault
My fault? Build is broken. If someone has changed something and not reflected it in the CM Wiki or on here, then that's a shame. Try it and see all the build errors and warnings.

buildbot seems to be better then u
imho, look the errors, but i'm pretty sure u miss something
Has the manifest changed? Repo syncs OK and the ROM builds but with many warnings and errors. This "problem" started a little over a week ago. I haven't changed the way I do this, so my only assumption is something has changed that is not reflected in the build guide. The GS3 and H One build fine...
To answer your query about Spirit FM, this is a good replacement FM radio app that's been around for a while. Since the stock CM FM Radio app is "flakey" Spirit provides a usable alternative. However, on CM (using the Digital audio path as the Analog audio doesn't work at all) it is a lottery whether any sound is produced without a reboot. I haven't been able to work out yet what conditions MIGHT cause this... sometimes a toast appears stating that xxxx couldn't start the media player. Once working, it works extremely well.
Hope that helps and look forward to your forthcoming updates for the Sony 2013 models.

I'm not associated with Cyanogenmod at all and most definitely not on their paylist. Just a hobbyist.
Download:
http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=trltexx
How to Install
* For 910F: Use TWRP for trltexx: http://www.techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/trltexx
* For 910G: Use TRWPR for trltedt: http://www.techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/trltedt
(I suggest to download the .img and flash that recovery image with the tool 'flashify' )
After that, flash the Gapps of your choice BUT MAKE SURE THEY ARE LOLLIPOP GAPPS !! And make sure the version is compatible with the Android version of the ROM (current version: Android 5.1.1)
If you come from Touchwiz, make sure to do a factory reset and wipe Dalvik cache.
The ROM is rooted already ! You just need to enable it, which can be done in the developer options. If you don't know how to see developer options: http://www.greenbot.com/article/245...-options-on-your-android-phone-or-tablet.html
Again, this is very important: it is rooted already DO NOT ROOT IT YOURSELF !!! If you re-root the ROM with for example chainfire, you can expect all kinds of issue's and problems.
Changelog:
http://www.cmxlog.com/12.1/trltexx/
FAQ:
Q: Help I can't install it, my recovery says "this is for trltexx but you are on trlte".
A: Use the correct recovery like pointed out above
Q: Do I need to factory reset/wipe everything when I flash a new nightly ?
A: If you were previously on CM12 I think you should be fine. However I suggest to always wipe cache and dalvik cache, if you only wipe the cache you ensure the system is not using old
stuff. If you however are experiencing problems that no one else seems to experience, a full factory reset might be an idea.
Q: Should I flash gapps every time I flash a new nightly ?
A: No, only the first time you need to flash gapps.
Q: Does this work for 910C, 910U, 910T or whatever other variant ?
A: No. This ROM is only for 910F and 910G. Some other Snapdragons like the 910T have a ROM out, but check those forums. Exynos users like 910C are still out of luck although someone is working on a very early alpha ROM for it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/orig-development/n910c-cyanogenmod-12-sources-t3015717
Q: I want a cooler device (or more performance).
A: You can lower the throttle temp (cooler device) or increase it (more performance) with for example Faux clock or with this free app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grarak.kerneladiutor
Q: Help my phone wont go into deepsleep.
A: This could be anything. To find out what's keeping your phone awake I wrote this small tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59378043&postcount=330
Q: My phone sleeps well but still is draining too much battery
A: In your wifi settings in the top right corner you can pull down a menu. Click advanced and mare sure you have 'scanning always available' disabled. And then there are the usual things like in settings/accounts disable syncing for your accounts, don't enable any hardware features you don't use etc.
Q: Can I use a custom kernel with CM12 ?
A: Some might work. However we optimize things in the CM12 kernel specifically for CM12, so flashing a custom kernel might cause problems. So if you are on a custom kernel and reporting a problem with CM12, at least ALWAYS report that you've flashed a custom kernel when posting about some problem you are experiencing !
Q: Does the S-pen work ?
A: Yes, the S-pen works right out of the box on Cm12, including hovering. If you're a heavy s-pen user and want functionality like for example making a cropped screenshot (just like in Touchwiz) you can enable that with a 3rd party app like: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/app-app-samsung-devices-provided-stylus-t3000448
Q: Can I control display parameters like Contrast and Saturation ?
A: Yes our kernel supports this app to do that: http://downloads.codefi.re/savoca/kcal/re.codefi.savoca.kcal-v1.2.apk
Q: Can I set change the display modes, like in Touchwiz ?
A: Yes I wrote an app for that, MDNIE tuner: https://mega.co.nz/#!uFwCAT7Z!qFzF9_2ZsJ-pHCNq8VLAD1PIiEFD9sKtLtWrazdQt5I
Q: How can I do 60/120 hz video recording ?
A: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61059360&postcount=2285
Q: What bootloader and/or modem should I be on ?
A: For 910F:Since the kernel is currently based on BOB4, I'd suggest to have both the bootloader and modem BOB4 too. You can download flashable odin files for those 2 here:
modem: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=26347
bootloader: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=26346
For 910G: Dont know exactly, probably a bootloader from december would be best.
*Known issue's:
* Google camera sometimes doenst close correctly on CM12-1 and then will yield a 'cant connect to camera', I'd suggest not to use Google camera. All other cam apps work fine.
* LTE can lose connection in some countries (Finland ?)
CM12 Known issue's (not specific to the note 4)
* Ringtones only work from internal SD card (not external sd card)
* Hardware encryption not functionally
* Fingerprint sensor not integrated just yet.
A special thank you to @slayher and @fattire, who not only were the pioneers for CM12 on the Note 4 but also helped me out countless times with problems I've ran into, both with the code and with GIT. Without their work and help we would be nowhere.
Enjoy !

My post doesn't add anything to this thread but I just wanted to say thanks.
Tried to flash but got an error within TWRP, running a 910F.
Performed a full wipe, installed from internal memory, have just installed another CM based rom and all is well ?
Could be a bad download, i'll re-attempt, am I right in thinking that the first line doesn't need to be edited if you're running a 910F ?
Cheers.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Instructions
First time flashing CyanogenMod 13.0 on your device, or coming from another ROM?
Download the zip(s).
Install a compatible Recovery
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
Wipe data & cache partitions of your device (required when coming from stock!).
Flash CyanogenMod.
Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package.
Broken Features / Known Issues
VIDEO ENCODER/DECODER ISSUES: This results in green lines on videos/pictures taken using the Intel HW encoder/decoder and other playback issues dependent on video formats. See the list below:
Snapchat: thin greeen line tends to appear on recorded videos for snapchat
Asus Pixelmaster Camera App: Super resolution mode does not work. Turning off "Optimizations" from settings clears up any green line issues.
Some video formats do not play as expected
FM Radio is unsupported.
audio is a little weird in Real Racing 3.
sim 2 cannot be disabled (this is true for all CM builds on non qualcomm hardware)
Other than Fugu (Nexus Player TV box) there are no Vendor released M x86/x86_64 builds in existance. You may experience some issues with GAPPS and some known apps not loading or working correctly. Below is a list of KNOWN apps that do not currently run on CM13 based x86 Zenfone 2 builds :
Ingress, Polaris Office, Chase Mobile, Showbox...

FAQ
Does Official TWRP work?
* Yep
* Unified recovery builds as of TWRP 3.0.0-0, same build for both Z00A/Z008
Can I use a custom kernel with these builds?
* At your own risk, don't complain here if something gets broken in the process
*Also, doing so makes any feedback useless to us because the kernel and the ROM are a complete package and changing part of that means you may have broken something beyond our control.
Will this be an Official ROM?
* When all the show stopping bugs are fixed and all the upstream commits are merged, yes.
* Until then, no because CyanogenMod has very high standards for accepting new devices.
* As of 3/17/16 we now have official builds
Do I need to unlock the bootloader?
* Yes.
Upgrade from CM-12.1 ?
* Tools have been put in place to make upgrading from 12.1 nightlies smooth however backups are always recommended. Make a backup and attempt upgrade from 12.1 -> 13.0. Make sure to Flash 6.0 gapps at the same time. 6.0 only applies the proper permissions for system apps on first boot.
* If the above fails to load smoothly, restore your backup, take the necessary backups of apps and such and make a clean flash upgrade instead.
EXTERNAL SDCARD in M
* There were major changes in AOSP in the handling of storage.
* Two options :
(1) used as external storage. Removable, plug and play storage like we all know and love.
(2) used as Adoptable storage. non removable, Sdcard becomes an extenstion of your /data partition. Removing Sdcard will cause signifigant data loss.
* On first boot you are presented with the option to choose how to handle your sdcard. CHOOSE WISELY
* read more about this feature in this article from android central
Green lines on Pixelmaster camera/Snapchat
* In the Asus camera app disable "Optimizations", this should clear green lines/distorted pictures here.
* In Snapchat, issue is far less intrusive and there is no workaround.
FM Radio
* Currently this is unsuported. As of yet we have not managed to figure out how Asus made this feature work. Should we figure that out We'd love to support it but until then it is not a high priority issue to resolve. ** UPDATED** I found some source code for the FM radio implementation but it's clearly marked as proprietary and unuseble by us at this time.
Call Recording
Native Call Recording is a feature that while only legal in some countries, has become very popular on CM.
Currently we do not have full audio HAL source for Intel devices and have no way to implement this in CM for this device.
C-APPS
They're are currently no C-APPS packages for CM-13. Due to the way M handles system app permissions this is not likely to be available at any time in CM13.

Updates issues and notes on upgrading from cm-12.1 .
RIL connectivity is not very good right now, requires manual setup on most sims. Clean install w/gapps is preferred, but CM team goes to great lengths to make sure upgrade path is smooth so a flash-able update from 12.1 nightly "should " work fine. Just make sure to flash your gapps w/ROM prior to rebooting. Flashing gapps later is not something that is going to work well for you.

How install super SU?
Awesome
I formatted my sdcard1 over and over... but my zen can't access it.
Any reason why?
Why?
I want to have the stock kernel but with usb serial support. I know there are apk solutions (with integrated driver) to connect to serial... However they are terrible solutions. I made my own serial terminal to connect and it was fine... except that i had major problems with shortcuts and the terminal library had also bugs. Know i just want to enable the kernel modules and use more binaries to connect. This is still in developent because OnePlus made it not so simple to use the open source respositories.
Why wanna connect to RaspberryPi using Serial?
It allows to communicate with it without any network or bluetooth connection.
I made compilable repos for Android 10 and 11... However currently there is no TWRP for Android 11 so i just tried to use the Android 10 kernel. The serial modules are not activatet yet because the kernel has other problems (Although i made no modifications).

Hi There!
I would like to give this kernel a shot but would like to build it myself.
Could you give me a hand here since this is my first time, I do have programming experience, but none compiling Android kernels.
I see in your readme that you are using these dependencies:
/home/jgudec/Exynos2200/toolchain/
/home/jgudec/build-tools/
/home/jgudec/gas/
Could you please tell me for the toolchain, build-tools and gas where and what versions of those you got for building?
Thansk!
New builds up.
Changes:
- Upstreamed to 5.10.138
- Added builds for One UI along ones for AOSP
- Other tweaks regarding performance and battery life (at least I hope so)
- Added more wakelocks to the blocking list
So as this is my first Samsung phone which seems less "mod" friendly then my previous devices;
I am rooted exynos base s22 on AVG6 as I'm not able to successfully flash newer firmwares.
Can I just flash this with FKM and live happily ever after?
Or are there some prerequisites or things to consider?
Appreciate the work! It's a shame to see the lack of custom development, so thank you!

I've updated the kernel source with changes from the AVG6 firmware, so you should be good to go.
If any issue arises, you can always go back to the stock kernel.
It is a shame (the development state), but hopefully that will change as more time passes.
Thanks for your fast reply.
Just to be sure, when flashing with FKM there is nothing wiped?
If for some reason I would want to go back to stock i need to go through Odin or is stock kernel available somewhere?
If I would find a way to update to AVH9 (or newer) normally the kernel should still be compatible right?

When you flash a kernel, there is no need to wipe the data of your device.
You can get the stock boot.img by downloading the firmware, opening up the AP file in 7-Zip Z-Standard and opening up boot.img.lz4 (you need to use 7-Zip Z-Standard, not the regular 7-Zip, to extract .lz4 files) and taking out the boot.img.
After that, just compress the boot.img into a .tar file and flash that file through the AP slot of Odin.
You can also patch that boot.img with Magisk Manager (on any rooted or non-rooted phone) if you want it to be rooted from the get-go.

Thanks again!
Last question, couldn't I just flash the full (patched) AP file?
This would flash more than just the kernel, but that doesn't really matter right?

Of course, you can flash the whole AP package, I just am not sure if it will then wipe your data.

Did you get a proper manual @sloeberiaan ?
I also wanna build my own kernel for S22 and flash it with TRWP/FKM, but I cant find proper "newbie" friendly documentation so far.
I tried LineageOS self building setup, thats works great with S10 ... but unfortunately not with S22 of course
So my intention is to add some features to the kernel to run docker. As mentioned in https://gist.github.com/FreddieOliveira/efe850df7ff3951cb62d74bd770dce27
Cheers!

No, not really. Couldn't find a manual. I found more like a solution inside the "build_menu" bash script from afaneh92 located inside the kernel config.
Just download/git clone the kernel source
The bash script "build_menu" will automatically install build-tools, gas and clang. Then you are good to go to compile your own kernel with the commands inside the build_menu. Steps are build kernel -> create flashable zip -> flash with TWRP or FKM. To adjust features you have to rewrite the defconfigs or adjust the build_menu script.
At the moment I stuck in bootloop after flashing my own kernel with additional features. Have a look at this post.
Can this kernel be flashed into a stock ROM?
What does it improve?
No updates?

First time you started the build_menu script, did it automatically download the necessary tools (gas, clang, build-tools)? The location should be in the parent directory (../Downloads). Are there any folders with naming clang-r416183b, gas or build-tools?
