Hi, there's any change from your releases and Cyanogem mod releases for Xperia ZL? I couldn't find any info about modifications made by FreeXperia Xperia. So i guess it is the same version as available at CM website, correct?

FXP239 released

I was wondering, is there a particular reason why the phone (C6503) is unable to successfully connect, neither automatically nor manually to a given mobile network after a normal (lengthy) network search? I've had other people here report that they experience this very same problem on their ZL as well, both on 10.1 and 10.2. All it says is: "Cannot connect to this network right now. Try again later."
Another question is, would it be possible to add the network types (4G, 3G and 2G) beside each available network as it is displayed on original Sony Firmware? You can see an icon beside each network type you choose from. That way, if you need to use only one specific "tower" or band during a given time, you could do so, without having to manually switch the radio on or off between 4G, 3G and 2G manually.
I hope you get what I'm trying to say here...
Thank you FXP for your hard work and dedication. Your work is really appreciated.

"Nightly-ish" unless otherwise specified

Any chance to get new "Color/gamma calibration" feature working on fusion3 devices?
Does it need some kernel changes to be implemented first?

Very good question, I'd also like to know this.

Be nice if the libs etc. were updated to .67 and the audio paths fixed so Spirit FM has audio every boot not 1 in 3... and Autobrightness - works sometimes, not others!
I also find that building one's own CM 10.2 fails to boot fully since late September, gets as far as "Android is updating apps and loops - if anyone has any ideas... appreciated

i have 2.67 blob ready, but i need to test on Tab Z Wifi
Spirit FM ?
AutoBrightness is wonky, sometime sensor report wrong value i think sony have some kind of workaround somewhere
if it doesnt boot, it's your fault

My fault? Build is broken. If someone has changed something and not reflected it in the CM Wiki or on here, then that's a shame. Try it and see all the build errors and warnings.

buildbot seems to be better then u
imho, look the errors, but i'm pretty sure u miss something

Has the manifest changed? Repo syncs OK and the ROM builds but with many warnings and errors. This "problem" started a little over a week ago. I haven't changed the way I do this, so my only assumption is something has changed that is not reflected in the build guide. The GS3 and H One build fine...
To answer your query about Spirit FM, this is a good replacement FM radio app that's been around for a while. Since the stock CM FM Radio app is "flakey" Spirit provides a usable alternative. However, on CM (using the Digital audio path as the Analog audio doesn't work at all) it is a lottery whether any sound is produced without a reboot. I haven't been able to work out yet what conditions MIGHT cause this... sometimes a toast appears stating that xxxx couldn't start the media player. Once working, it works extremely well.
Hope that helps and look forward to your forthcoming updates for the Sony 2013 models.

Currently i'm running CM9 nightly 2012-10-07 , my device is LT28H.
I had found 3 bugs: HDMI is not working , touchscreen button LED light and 3G data.
1. HDMI: not woking
2. Touchscreen button led light: By going to Setting/Display/Brightness and then change the brightness, i can have the light turned on and stay awake. But after the phone go to sleep and back , it's turn off .
3. 3G data not working: after choosing network mode to LTE/GSM , it said the mode is LTE/WCDMA/GSM and data enabled, with correct APN , i can see the H icon near the signal icon . But i can't connect to internet . It works before with the stock rom (i have unlimited data plan)
Also it seems the audio quality is not so good as the stock rom, i'm not sure but i will recheck by reinstall the stock rom and wait for the new nightly build .
However, i really love Cyanogenmod and have been using for all of my device: Asus TF101 , TF300T , GT-N7000 , HTC Wildfire .... Thanks so much
I will help FreeXperia Team by reporting any bugs i can find with every nightly build you release.

After updating the updater-script file to include LT28i I was able to install it on my phone. Woot! I'm also experiencing the bad audio quality issue that others have reported, but otherwise things are great so far! So nice to be rid of all the bloat of the stock roms. On stock my phone constantly had memory management issues but that seems to be a thing of the past now. Sweet!

Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Note that this is a preview release and non-device specific bugs will not be accepted. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved.
Use these commands to get a logcat and dmesg
Code:
adb root
adb logcat > logcat.txt (wait for a few seconds then press Ctrl + C)
adb shell dmesg > dmesg.txt

Thank you, Desai!!! It looks decent! You are the great coder.
When push the power button, the screen always switches to landscape from portrait (or
vice versa) before it goes off. And lockscreen is always portrait.

I just verified, indeed it is a device for a different region.
Thank for the heads up.
Most likely the only requirements are the drivers for the region specific hardware, besides that it should be the same.
Hi!
First of all, thanks for this great new rom. Its feel like faster than 10.1 (maybe because of the factory reset)
My only problem i cant take PicSphere photos with Focal. The logcat is attached.

Thanks in advance for any help
Wiped Dalvik and formatted cache and system and then installed that directly over the Alroger from 10th of August with the march gapps (there are newer ones - loading them now). Everything works and no bugs so far (only missing the tweaks from the alroger rom).
You only get root after becoming a delevoper like described above. But it works then without any third party stuff or any problems.
Wow! Just installed this to test for the weekend, but I don't think I have to go back I also flashed over alrogers last build (full wipe), and it's working very stable ever since. What is experimental about it?
Just one question, what governor and scheduler do you prefer cdesai (or others)? Is the standard on demand and row advisable, because it's pre-configured like that, or is that a misunderstanding?

+1 , If I'm not interested in connecting it to the Sprint CDMA network and only use it as a WiFi tablet is it OK to use the GSM ROM anyway if i only use the wifi? I always wondered that.
If by "bootup screen looks weird for a few seconds" you mean that the Cyanogenmod logo is stretched horizontally and you can only see the word "Cyanogen", I've been having that since I first flashed CM10, even the stable builds.
As for the ROM itself, it's nice and fast, but battery life is a *****. I know it'll get better, of course, so I'll just stick with this.

- flash zip
- wipe (have not tried if upgrade from kitkat works and won't test this anyway)

No prob. I just re-synced the kernel with stuff from grouper. Those things are not really necessary for cm-12.0
EDIT: there's a new 0.2 version that has recent changes.

willing to try
I loaded the Omni version which worked but was a little slow - using ART not DALVIK. If anyone else tries this, I found the experience was interesting - you will have to choose a small(er) version of GAPPs to fit on the system partition. I used the version on the XDA PA-GAPPs site that was just over 200 MB in size. I'm back using CM11 because I use this puppy every day.

It was not a hard requirement to have Selinux enabled in cm-11.0. It is now a minimum requirement from CM.
BTW: I have fixed the major selinux denials now and the tf300t is now accepted on the official CM nightlies.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Other Issues Not in Known Issues?
Before posting on this thread, make sure of a few things:
You've utilized the search function of the forums. Nothing irritates me more than lazy people who do not search for an answer before asking or ask the same question over and over again.
If you are the only one having a problem. Boot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, reflash the rom/gapps and nothing else. Boot up and see if the problem persists.
LOGS LOGS LOGS!!!! Use this: SysLog by Tortel
If you have a hard reboot (to the vendor boot logo, not the CM boot logo), use adb or any other file explorer tool to pull a copy of
/sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops (command: adb pull /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops)
after the reboot and provide that.
Note: We will not support any kind of modification on the ROM not done by our sources. If you are running XPosed, Kernel Booster or whatever occurs to you, we won't support you in any way. The problem will in every case be treated as the additional softwares' fault (because often it is!)
Download Links
CyanogenMod: ROM @ http://download.crpalmer.org/nightlies/pme/
Google apps addon:
(Note: Not required to run the ROM)
We are using Open GApps (Link) Arm64 version. (make sure to use 64bit when using other packages), others might also be working
Note: In case you want to use any gapps, YOU MUST install the right gapps the first time that you flash a marshmallow ROM. Do not boot with an older gapps or without one and then try to install it later.
Note: If you install a package which replaces the default dialer (mostly "Stock Gapps") you have to go to Settings->Apps->Gear-Icon and set the new dialer as a default telephony app to prevent force closing of apps
Known Issues
Rear Camera Force Closes when enabling HDR
MTP not working
Magnet detection/Ice View not working
LED notification settings are available but don't work
SELinux is in permissive mode
Notification volume is too loud
?? Headphone volume is too loud? (I don't know what is normal on stock as I've never used them on stock...)

Fyi I can't get the download link to work. It loops back to itself, asking me to choose which app to open it with over and over
@crpalmer ... You are a god among men. I saw why you posted this thread in another thread, and would like to thank you for the harm reduction measures on behalf of the whole community.

I've been told it boots and functions if you flash the latest US Unlocked firmware, minus the radio.

Didn't really want to mess with firmware being on sprint and all, but maybe I just need to dive right in. One question, how will that affect me going back to sense?

It might have no effect at all. I'm not on Sprint, so I'm not the person to ask.
Using MultiRom to boot the 0920 snapshot. Home button does not function as home. I press it and it doesn't go home. Is this because of Ex kernel I am using at the top level in MultiRom? I remember someone having this trouble with Ex kernel and CM.
Does someone remember having patch I can apply on top of Ex kernel (I am building it myself) to get this working? I remember it was a single line patch.

Yeah the kernel causes this. Not sure about the patch sadly

You can try elitekernel. It's based on EX and he has patched the home button as well.
Edit: I guess this was the change

Hey buddy,
For the changelog Mr. Palmer has mentioned to go to Gerrit (http://review.cyanogenmod.org/)
The specific section for HTC 10 changes are as follows (http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/project:CyanogenMod/android_device_htc_pme).
It will be easier to look there as if will have all the relevant changes you need. He may look to put up a change log when we are closer to or at a stable build.

Nice, thanks. Could you summarize which features you did implement? I'm currently using LOS by Micha-Btz, and it's working great, but I might try this out if it's any different...

Can't say for sure what he changes. Not all his repos are open to public.
This version is the latest updated version of lineage, at the time of build. With all the newest changes from the msm8974 maintainers to get a working Android 7.1.2 on this device. The only extra difference is that I included the smartcard API, so u could use NFC pay with a compatibele sim card.

Which kernel does this ROM use? I can't find a repository at your GitHub
Might be a good idea to link to these sources from OP as public sources are required by GPL.
Btw, this information seems to be wrong

Thx for sharing. Will add them right away. They are indeed not on mine or lineage GitHub. The kernel source is on another GitHub. Will add a local_manifests to the message.
Thx. Works great so far.
My findings:
- original Sony camera app has that hw overlay issue.
- automatic brightness seems to be calibrated to bright
- wlan works smoothly (current aicp has has issues with that)
Not tested Bluetooth yet
Regards
Update:
[2] lineage-14.1-20170721-UNOFFICIAL-amami.zip
Fixes:
Audio_effect fix
A tiny bit better battery life
Fix nightly reboot when charging
Thermal improvements in config

Known bugs:
HW overlay needs to be disabled for some full screen video applications
Bluetooth may not work as expected
Reboot to recovery doesn't always work
Needs a compatible recovery to install
Camera may not work 100%
Will never pass full CTS test?

Great firmware!
Problems with lineage-14.1-20170721-UNOFFICIAL-amami.zip
- I still get nightly (while recharging) and some times random reboots
- HW Overlay with Camera
I didnt have any other issues yet
@Hazou thanks for your work! This device still can work well and thanks for support LOS!
Pardon, is it possible to have this feature enabled to receive mms when data is disabled? It can be much of annoyance and inconvenience to have data always be turned on for those with limited data or having to turn data on and of manually just to receive mms
https://review.lineageos.org/#/c/172853/ I can beta test a patch if need, very useful feature. This device deserves a good maintainer like you!
Thanks again sir for attention!

Yup, we are working on them. Just takes a lot off time to debug and find the issue. Also it's holiday season; sun, beach, party
New version 8-10
Changelog:
3AM bug solved
Touch firmware update (changed to stock amami)
Time correctly set at boot
Update in media codecs/profiles
BLE peripheral mode enabled
Network type change and search should be fixed
Thanks for the update!
Thanks for the update, Hazou!
Unfortunately, changing of network operator does not work with my 2 SIM cards.
I can change the network type and search for network operators, but changing the network operator is not possible.
I have tested various ROMs (AICP, Lineage - yours and Micha-Btz - and Paranoidandroid, v6.03).
Only with the stock Rom and with Paranoidandroid I can change the network operator.
The problem seems related to accessing the SIM card (at least my SIM cards). When the Z1C can read the contacts stored on a SIM card, I can also change the network operator.
Can you change the network operator without problem?
Hi Hazou,
there also seems to be a problem with the telephone function if you toggle the loudspeaker or the mute button during a call.
Once you click mute and enable the mic again, it will stay muted... Same problem seems with the loudspeaker button from time to time.
Would be great if this could be fixed.
Good work! It is really appreciated!
Hi Hazou,
I have also a problem with telephone calls. The microphone seems always to be muted.
When I use Google Duo or WhatsApp Calls if works flawlessly.
The reboot bug while charging is also still existant.
Bisides that: Nice work, thanks for that.
