[Q] LG G3 knock code screen lock method disabled after installing certificate - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello. After I installed this certificate (lrz.de/services/netz/mobil/vpn/anyconnect/rootcert.crt) I am no longer to use knock code as a screen lock method. I found out that the name of the certificate is Deutsche Telekom Root CA 2 and disabled it from the trusted credentials menu, but I am still not able to select knock code in the lock screen -> select lock; the options Swipe and Knock Code are white and cannot be selected (It says disabled by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage)
Any help would be much appreciated

Lock TP2 With Security Code?

On my old touch pro 1 when i would go to settings - personal - security it would give me the option to lock my phone with a security code, now on the tp2 when i go to the same security menu it ays please enter sim unlock code to disable sim lock
did they remove locking the phone with a security code or did i miss something?
I don't have a Settings>Personal>Security but I do have a Settings>Personal>Lock and that allows me to set a Simple PIN or password. I have the US T-Mo version with stock WinMo 6.1 still on it.

[q] VPN without PIN or password

Hi,
I set up a VPN (Android 4.4.2), but for security reasons it is only possible with PIN or password. How to select other security options, like an unlock pattern?
Any ideas?

When I want to set up a screen lock, 3 options are unavailable (Swipe, None, and Knock code) due to an unknown reason.
It says: "Disabled by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage"
I'm quite worried because I've tried literally everything and I still have this issue (I have an LG G4 H815, running stock android 5.1 L. Hope you can help)

Need help with screen lock,
i wanted to try knock code lock and can't remove it, none and swiped are grayed out and it says "Disabled by Administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage", removed all phone administrators and cleared certificates.

Disable On Boot Password

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie to the OnePlus world.
So my question is: how can I disable the password that is required before android is launched on my OnePlus 3 ?
I've searched accross xda but I found nothing, sorry if this has already been answered.
In the beginning I found it very useful, but once I removed Google Keyboard, I was not able to enter that password.
I want to use a modded google keyboard (with number row), and on the xda thread, the dev ask to remove the defaut Google Keyboard.

Go into Settings > Security & fingerprint > Screen lock and remove it (choose None).
Once the device is set to none, go back into Settings >Security & fingerprint > Screen lock and choose PIN. It will ask you here if you want secure boot (enter a PIN to start device) or not use it. Just choose the latter.
EDIT: If you have fingerprint set up, you will lose it during this process
Another option is to just switch between password, pin or pattern. You still get the option of not to set on boot, but this prevents the fingerprints to get deleted as they do when switching to swipe or none.
Thanks guys the problem is now solved, I've selected PIN with NONE as option for boot.
I can't do anything else because would like to remove the google keyboard.
To do so you will need to wipe your /data but its possible through twrp for excample. Simply after hard reset chose not to require password after boot
I'm confused as to why Google Keyboard is required for entering a password. Can't you just set your other keyboard to be the default?
