Try using a different usb cable. If that doesnt work well, you can try using another charger of similar rating.

Do battery caliberation. That will fix it
Are you using the wall charger? It changes much faster than connected to computer USB.
I am having the same problem as you. I tried 3 different chargers each with different amps. But the phone would always say the remaining time to full was the same (it took 3+hrs to charge). Yesterday chaarged to 100% and recalibrated battery. Will try in a bit to see if that helps.
same problem with me.. just did a soft reset and now using 2A samsung charger and everything is fine now

i am currnetly using an htc one x, which i havent rooted or flashed yet, 2 days ago the phone just got hung, without me doin anything, i just turned on the phone and it was just........stuck.......then it switched off by itself and switched on again, it went to the htc logo, then switched off again, the same cycle repeated 4-5 times. The battery had abt 76% charge left. Then all of a sudden, it just refused to turn on. I couldnt charge it, the device manager couldnt detect it, and i tried nearly every possible combination of the volume-power buttons, still nothing. I saw somewhere that if u just charge for 1-2 days it'll turn on again, but still no luck.......no response from the comp wen i plug it in.......still running the stock os.........pls help, i have almost lost faith in technology

How log have you had it?
If you can get into the bootloader try a factory reset from there.

Dude, it seems that your battery is flat. I'd suggest charging the phone via a power outlet and not the PC usb. Once you connect the phone to the power outlet you should get a red charging led..
After it's fully recharged, try rebooting..if still the same problem, get into the bootloader and do a factory reset...if still the issue persists, go back to the retailer where you bought this from and get a replacement...

If you're not getting to bootloader and it won't start even after being plugged in so long...you don't have any choice but to seek repair.

Yup, it seems you have faulty mainboard...get it repaired..I wouldn't suggest spending a lot of money on repairing a outdated phone. If the service center is asking for a few hundred $ then scrap it..it's not worth it as you won't get any warranties for the repairs done.....besides, HTC will be stopping support for the phone after the next update to 4.2.2 even though the rest of world is on the latest Android versions...so at best you'll have another 2 more months by when your phone will be really outdated both in terms of hardware and software....
u are better off buying Chinese rip-off phones that have equivalent configs as the One X....sorry to say this..

Hello people,
I got a GT-i9300 for about 7 months now and since yesterday i got problems charging it.
2 days ago i went to sleep and as always putted it on charge and i saw the charging notification. When i woke up ~8h later the phone was not charged at all and while connected it was not charging.
I tried reconnecting it a couple of times but nothing. I tried connecting it to a pc but nothing. Then i used the charger that came with S4 and after a couple of seconds it started charging, few minutes later it just stopped again. Reconnected it and it was charging, made it to 100% normally.
Today i tried connecting it again but now it won't charge, likewise i won't connect to pc the moment i connect it but after ~5m at least and it's only charging, the pc won't see the phone anywhere.
Also tried another S3 charger but nothing.
I only have official samsung chargers. 2 x s3 and a s4 one. None works on it at the moment while they work normally on my s4.
I tried it turning it off and removing battery but nothing, did a full wipe but still nothing.
The usb itself looks alright plus yesterday when i was charging it i moved the wire around a bit to check if it was the connection but it was not.
I was looking around the web but found nothing and the similar threads here ain't the same as my case.
Also the phone is on official firmware and not rooted.
Does anyone know anything about it ? I will most likely take it to service tomorrow but since i need the phone i would prefer not to have a ~5 days delay from them.
I have the same problem and the only thing that will charge it is a higher voltage playbook charger. I'm not too sure what the problem is but if you do get it serviced could you please post the cause of this issue?

Sadly i don't have a higher voltage charger plus i don't think it's a good idea to use that, at least not all the time.
Will take it for service tomorrow unless i solve it somehow. Will report back with what they will tell me.
I had previously flashed official 4.2 on my s3 but i reverted to the carrier official version, about 2 months ago. Any chance i will have problems with warranty with the flash count being 3 ?
I read that you normally don't have a problem but i want to know if someone had first hand experience with that.

This can very well be a problem. Your best option is to root and reset flash counter with triangle away. After reset, re install original firmware with Odin. If they do warranty fix it, it will be by replacing the motherboard, so if there is anything you need off of it, be sure to back it up on a computer. Also, flashing original with Odin can wipe the device so back up before then. If they look and see a custom flash counter of 3, your warranty will be void.
Alright, took it to service yesterday ( official samsung service ) and got it today. They changed the usb port and all is good, warranty had it covered.
I didn't reset counter before giving it but they either didn't check the counter or checked it and it was not an issue.
Hello guys
I have a problem, device and maybe a ? problem
Well, my battery has been acting a little weird lately but, I ignored it
But tonight I decided to try again the Fulmics 5.1 and his friends (heheh), suddenly after completing the process, I experienced a bunch of Reboots, then I found out that, my phone can't stay alive alone without a charger connected
It doesn't even boot without a charger...
Now I'm back to Fulmics 4.1 and... Still the same
I have read some reports here that warned me about this "issue"
So, guys, maybe it's the battery?

What bothers me is the fact that it was working normally before I tried that New Fulmics thingie..
I even had close to "full" battery strength (lasting a lot)
And now I can't even try one of the official firmware procedures, because the phone can die on the USB!!
Here in this damned country that I live (and that I hate so much!!) It's very hard to find "original" batteries...

yeah the battery won't give you any signs it's dying, it just dies lol. I got the deal that I got a free charging cradle and extra battery so I've always had backups. Why don't you get them from eBay? I've bought like 4 from eBay. I rotate all my batteries so I always have them charging ready to go
This is a serious problem. In the past couple of days, I have been using my note 4 and it reboots out of nowhere and will not boot again. I tried wiping cache, no dice. Tried factory resetting it, no dice. Used the Verizon official software repair tool, no dice. I even flashed it manually with ODIN and used a PIT file to re-partition it and that fixes it for a couple of days, but then it does it again.
Nothing will get the device to boot again, and it will not boot into safe mode either.
Does anyone have any idea as to what on earth is going on? I've had to put my SIM card in another phone that works.
Hello Macmaster2000, tried using another battery?
My current note 4 situation, though some battery/charging apps say the battery is "healthy".... when its not plugged in it will go into a boot-loop after about 1-2 hours of usage on battery even if it had 80-90% of battery life and it would still boot-loop.. but when it is connected to the charger it wont boot-loop..
Sadly, I don't have a replacement battery to tell you if that's the problem to my bootloops or other :\ worth a shot thou!

:highfive: No problem glad to be of help! :highfive:, my batteries came in(I've ordered 2 off amazon due to a bad past experience with my old nexus 4 when i ordered one. was a month without a phone . one from BinTek and the other sais its OEM but i say "yea right" as long as it works ) and as well it solved my problems! I just wish I Didn't factory reset my phone :crying: back to square one again ah well live and learn.
another thing to take a "note" of ; =D when i've reinstalled 5.0.1 i had a crash message along the side of "NFC crashed failed to respond" maybe our batteries aren't actually "dead" maybe faulty NFC chipet or whatever on the battery preventing it from staying alive (i truely dont know but this sounds suspicious..... it could be that our batteries were bottomshelf.... or.... *looks at samsung* )

I think the best batteries are from Anker, best sellers on amazon and I've never had a problem!
Also, not sure on the NFC crashing, I use it daily and haven't had an issue.
Hey there im turning to the community for a bit of help...
First of all here is my phone info... Bone stock non-rooted
Lg G3 D-852 canadian version with Bell
Running android 6.0 kernel 3.4.0
Build number mra58k soft version d85230h
here is my issue, lately when i do random things on the phone it shuts itself down and goes into a bootloop.
in order to get the phone back on i actually have to plug it in and for some reason seems to short it back out of loop and into boot.
At first when it started it was booting up completely then shutting down 4 times. after that 4th time everything was good.
now it just stays stuck in a look until i shove a wire up its hole.
ive come to notice that most times whe it shuts down it seems to be when i try to do many things at once or load up a video...
sometimes even opening a picture will shut it down... it almost feels like when an overclocked system just ticks off.
im not quite sure where to go from here, phone is 2 years old but id love to figure this problem out
edit: yes i already tried a factory reset
edit 2: i just tried another factory reset.... now it wont even load up. itll boot all the way to the os (if plugged in) then shuts down and just says its charging... completely out of a phone now ffs
Its battery related problem.

Try an Anker battery, worked perfect on 2 G3's I had, while both the stock batteries bootlooped.

Very common. Batteries usually last a little less than 2 years for these then you need to get a new one. Thank God these have removable batteries.
i remember i had once gotten a new battery for my sgs2 but it was crap lol
