Apps that make the root of procedure are considered in some AV as viruses. This is normal.

Do I need to unlock my bootloader first to be able to root my device with this application? Thanks in advance.

Afterwards u can replace king user with super su method in this url http://www.w0lfdroid.com/2013/11/How-to-Remove-Replace-VRoot-Chinese-superuser-with-SuperSU.html?m=1

It is the same used in Gingerbreak. LINK
I recommend reading about it.

You cannot override this method by SuperSU. It is the easiest method so far, but when trying to replace, you will run out of ROOT.

Download PC software of Kingroot or from Direct link 15MB
1. Make sure phone is not connected to system
2. Install software.
3. then start software.
4. connect phone to system.
5. wait for phone get detected by software.
6. then click blue circle tab.
7. wait for task to finish.
8. you will see green check mark.
9. DONE.
IF THIS DIDN'T worked, uninstall all 3 kingroot apps from mobile..
reboot, then install again, kingroot app, then only if required, follow above steps.
3 app's are as :
1. KingRoot
2. KingUser
3. KingMaster
you can't replace kingroot with supersu, maybe new version doesn't support given replacement method,
you can uninstall preinstalled apps from kinguser app manager, that will be installed with kingroot.

This chineese kinguser app
It after installation and rooting give me the root permissions and i use a programm like no frills cpu control that require root permission

You must run that tool to full root your phone, if you don't, you will still have auto reboot if you want to use folder mount or link2sd.
So far this is the best ROOTING method EVER..
Thanks for sharing this !
I read somewhere it works on all android devices.. is it TRUE?

No, this method work just for android without master key bug patch, because this method use that bug to exploit the su binary and luckily sony not patch that bug.
strange when I tried to root, a dialog box appeared saying "Device not found". Any advice? thanks
Edit: I suspect I need to install the Sony companion software to get the drivers! My first sony phone
Edit 2: Yes, that was the problem! Thanks for the rooting tip!

This method has fully rooted my Xperia™ M Dual C2004.
I just used this Application and then used ES File Explorer to Mount R/W and viola! No reboot problem.
EDIT : THIS WILL NOT GIVE FULL ROOT. FOLDER MOUNT CAUSED REBOOT. BUT AFTER APPLYING THE PATCH FROM [NUT] EVERYTHING IS FINE.
Unroot
Is there also a method on how to unroot? For warranty concerns just in case

Full Root
I just bought my Xperia M C1905 today, is this full root? Or not? Or will become full root after using Tool by Anto Kus? :highfive: One more thing, does it matter which FW version is installed? I currently have 15.1.A.1.9 but there is an update 15.1.C.2.3 and before I root this, I want to get that update. Please advise.

Update first, then root and use the tool
This message was brought to you from my Sony Xperia M C1905 using Tapatalk.
Hi, thank you very much for this tool, it really is the simplest.
I noticed that I get adverts in my apps now, but I have all the ad-blockers installed. I tried the update fix as well. Previously, I used V-root which definitely did give enough permission to block ads. Has anyone else experienced this i.e. some root issues?
I did try uninstalling everything and retrying a few times but it's still the same.

No, I didn't faced any such problem.
But ya this didn't gave me full root without usin the tool by [NUT].
So this method, as stated in the op itself, helps in rooting but isnt a complete root.

1. Download first Intel driver on your pc extract it and install it.
2. After installed, connect your phone to your pc using usb cable. Don't forget to enable debugging mode. To do that, go to settings>about>software information>build number (tap 7 times to enable developer option) then, go back to settings>developer options>usb debugging (enable/check it).
3. After update, Test for authorized connection between pc and phone. Go to downloaded rootz5kitkatv2 on your pc and click files>hold shift + right>choose open command window.
4. Then cmd will prompt. Then type " adb devices" hit enter. The left side is your serial number and the right side is the word "device" it means your good to go.
5. If the word "unauthorized" will appear instead of "device" then youre not good to go. So unplugged your phone from pc and reconnect again. A prompt from your phone will appear. Just check allow always to continue.
6. Please read the instructions carefully. These time we will root your phone. Now, stay connected to your pc with your mobile and open the file "rootz5kitkatv2" that you download file. Double click "root-zenfone5-ww" or "Root-ZenFone5-en"
7. The bat file will open and the rooting process is now starting. Your phone will reboot 5 to 6 times. Just press any key to continue. Wait for some more time
last reboot screen ...
8. Last reboot will appear, check your phones app drawer, if you can see SuperSU, congrats! you are now rooted.
9. To survive root access during OTA updates, go to supersu>settings>enable pro. Once done, go back again supersu>settings>enable survival mode.
Congrats !!!
Your Asus Zenfone 5 KITKAT now is rooted.
If you want unroot see supersu "full unroot" or zenfone root toolkit bat file.

Root for HTC Desire 626s

I have the HTC Desire 626s that came out here in the US on T-mobile yesterday. I have unlocked the bootloader via the htc dev tool succesfully. What is the first step in gaining root access on this device?
Do I need to try and port a custom recovery or is there an easier way?
Thanks

Ive tried all kinds of ways. So far nothing has been successful. twrp and cwm need to make a custom recovery bc I cant and I have win 10 so
the programs to make them are kinda hard to get working properly. win 8 is what most android program's and updates are made on....

6.tried flashing twrp recovery for HTC Desire.zip and nothing
7.tried flashing cwm recovery for HTC Desire.zip and nothing

THERE IS NO FASTBOOT MODE OR AN HBOOT OPTION
I EVEN UNLOCKED THE BOOTLOADER SUCCESSFULLY
HELP
reply
So you cant even get Fastboot to come up?
---------- Post added at 04:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:32 PM ----------
After that press and hold Volum Down and Power button together for a couple of seconds.
It worked before right? or you couldn't unlock bootloader.....
IDK man :/ CWM and TWRP Need to hurry up
I unlocked the bootloader using the instructions i found on here , but there is no fastboot option on the 626s
reply
by holding volume down and power, the screen that pops up is fastboot or it wouldn't work when you type fastboot commands.

This is what i left it on when unlocking bootloader. you dont need a bootloader option if the bootloader Commands are working!!!!
RIGHT??

hmmm look into this!!!
ok I seemed to find a wrap around on getting fastboot off on htc desire 626s.. its crazy but it works but still no root i dont know what to do after this!!!!
LOOK at these photos https://www.sendspace.com/filegroup/qOHE3eblty0BnvqqOJax+wlCQcVwIz8NxWw8mil8h1g
it was said that HTC Quick Root can root htc desire 626s!!?????
well we got an error saying device is in fastboot and or recovery well it wasnt fastboot was just on and is always on!!!!!!
How to get fastboot off????
1. download VRoot_1.7.3.4863
2.run exe and let it connect to desire 626s but do not click root it will fail.
3. run HTC Quick Root and BOOOOOM!!!! it actually opens no errors fastboot is off for a short time.
TRY it yourself......

I have the HTC Desire 626s that came out here in the US on T-mobile yesterday. I have unlocked the bootloader via the htc dev tool succesfully. What is the first step in gaining root access on this device?
Do I need to try and port a custom recovery or is there an easier way?
Thanks

Install at your own risk!! Be aware this may erase your entire phone!!
Quick instructions:
Before starting make sure USB debugging is enabled and your device is set to PTP Transfers.
1. Download Marshmallow update file
2. Download and install minimal ADB/Fastboot and ensure your drivers are up to date: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2317790
3. Move the marshmallow update file to the minimal adb and fastboot directory
4. Do not rename file
5. Reboot to download mode by holding volume up + home + power for a few seconds
6. Ensure your USB cable is connected.
7. Select "Apply Update from ADB" (you should hear your computer recognize a connected device)
8. Open CMD using the quick link from minimal ADB and fastboot by right clicking and running as administrator
9. Use command: adb sideload <insert fullname here> - Example: adb sideload SS-N920AUCU2APB2-to-U2BPE5-UP
10. Allow the sideload to do its work. This takes about 15 minutes.
11. Enjoy your marshmallow sideload
It works, and I am currently using it. Thanks for finding it on the servers.

Ok, got it started... First, install the minimal tools to c:\android - No spaces in the path. Second, make sure UAC is off. As far as the filename, I left it the original filename, no .zip on it, and used adb sideload {big long filename I'm not typing}
3%... Verifying. Back to the hockey game!

Please post a different link. It's disabled due to traffic. I know someone that can root this with possibly unlocked bootloader.

Thanks for the info! Four questions, please:
Do we know if this is a beta release, or is it the final release that's soon to push OTA? (For those with the beta, does this release match any build number you've had?)
Does your Device Status still say Official after this update?
Does Samsung Pay still work after this update?
If your phone is encrypted, do you need to decrypt it before updating?

I havent tried it yet, so far I opened the app and added my credit card, havent used it yet, ill use it for lunch and report back.
Samsung pay works fine, android pay, I dont know because i dont use it.
also its not beta software its the real deal. PD6 was on the att server for the s6 and that is what was released. PE5 is newer so I would say its prob the final build.

Thanks, I was hoping for that possibility.
Someone elsewhere remarked that the sideload installation of PE5 wipes the phone. Can you confirm? And if so, is it expected that if we wait for the OTA, that'll wipe the phone too, or will that likely leave our setup in place?

Correct. No wipe on OTA update.
I elected to for a clean MM experience via sideload, wiping cache partition as well to remove all variables...

Makes sense. I'm tempted, but also not in the mood to do a lot of setup afterward.
If I do a backup first, using Side Sync, do you know if that's likely to be restorable after the MM sideload?
Sorry for the delay guys I updated the post with a new link, should be working now.
Does anybody use custom themes and do they work after you do the update?

Does all work?
I think you are right as it is the pre-released stock rom, it should upgrade from 4.16.
you can flash it directly from TWRP if you remove from the updater script of the 4.16-5.06 zip file all thel lines before this statement: # ---- start making changes here
It works.
I've attached here below a working script.

I managed to install opengapps full by removing some apps with the aid of the gapps-config.txt file (otherwise system partition is too little - just check how to use it in the OpenGapps wiki). Then I disabled SetupWizard.apk renaming it SetupWizard.sav in /system/priv-apps via TWRP and adb (the nubia setup wizard does not start if the google setup wizard is active). Finally I rebooted and added my google account. So far, so good.

First of all, thank you for sharing your experiences on this rom.
Do you use Superuser or Magisk to root? I want to use Magisk to root device. By use of your updater script, we should be able to flash three zip at same time in TWRP
- 4.16 flashable zip
- 5.06 update zip
- Magisk.zip
Do you think it works?

as there is currently no working magisk can I ask if this method to change apk to sav works for any app? At least I could debloat the ROM a little ....
for those that couldn't get the update file: this download wil work for 1 week only

no... project treble checker says it's missing the A/B filesystem, so it's not ready for Treble
Could give us a little more details on how to do this: "Then I disabled SetupWizard.apk renaming it SetupWizard.sav in /system/priv-apps via TWRP and adb "?
