[ROOT] Micromax A62

How to root Micromax a62 easily
1. Before You Begin
1. This will void the warranty of your device !
2. Use at own your risk !
3. Backup your rom !
4. I am not responsible if anything bad happens !
2. Requirements to root
1. Charge your battery upto 70%
2. Micromax a62 driver
3. Enable USB debugging - go to in Settings>Application>Development>USB debugging
4. Supersu from play store
5. Root Master
3. Let's start
1. Install micromax a62 driver in pc !
2. Install Root master in pc !
3. Sure you ticked the USB debugging ! ?

4. Connect your device to pc !
5. Open Root master and follow or click on red rectangle
6. Follow and click on red rectangle-which i am showing in this picture ! your device is now connected to this software
7. Click on root and wait ! it's will automatically reboot your device
8. Your device is now rooted ! and now exit the root master
9. You can see this chiness superuser in your menu!
10. Install supersu or open if already installed ! and grant permisson like this
11. supersu will automatically install su binary (need internet connection)! just grant the permisson and let the supersu uninstall Chinese superuser
Your device is now rooted :victory: ,you can also apply this method on other chiness or spreadtrum devices ! it's safe:fingers-crossed:

for your information bro !
this phone (spreadtrum) have no cm source , so it's very hard to get cwm !
I gotta little sucess but have display issue -white screen ! but options is working ! confirmed by chinees forums!
we have a only one way to get cwm -unpack and pack recovery.img by other spreadtrum cwm recovery.img ! try yourself ....

Just do this Simply:
1. Open the tool and delete all which is written in chinese language.
2. Now extract the stock rom and wherever u find a folder, file or anything written in chinese, .ie. if one element is also in chinese lang. backspace it and write something else.
3. Now when u have renamed everything.
4. Open flash tool, Select .pac file from extracted stock rom folder.
5. Now u won't get fdl1 error but hwinfo error. Double tab on hwinfo one and ull get browse option.
6. Open stock rom extracted folder, and find a folder inside named a hw_info.
7. Select the 2nd file of it and click ok and Flash it.!! :cyclops::cyclops:

It's too easy ,
1. remove the battery and re insert it,
2. Switch on phone (don't let the screen lock ), once it is ON , Dont Forget to Turn on the Data connectivity or wifi .
3. go to Gmail > add New account (if there is no Existing Google account ).
4. Lock the screen and try to unlock , after you enter wrong pattern 5 times , click on Forgot password.
5. Enter the Email and password and
6.Reset Pattern .
That's all you are done

Requirements:
Download / unzip the file --> AndroidSDKSlim.zip
Download this file --> twrp-x9077.img
Make sure you have a charged battery (50 % minimum)
How to install: ​
Connect your phone to your PC. You should see a window with the drivers in an application called 'setup.exe '.
​
Start the installation process and wait until it ends. then disconnect the phone from the PC.
Extract the contents of the file ' AndroidSDKSlim.zip ' on your desktop. You should have a folder named ' android-sdk-windows ' where there is another folder: 'platform-tools.'
In this folder, move the .img files you downloaded ( twrp-x9077.img )
​
Turn off your mobile.
Restart your mobile in fastboot mode by pressing the High Volume + Power buttons until the appearance of the word ' Fastboot ' .
Connect your phone to your PC via the USB cable.
In platform-tools folder 'with your mouse, do' right click 'while holding down the 'Shift ' button, then select ' Open a command window here . '

In this window, type the following code to verify that your device is recognized.

Then type the following command to install the TWRP :

fastboot flash recovery twrp-x9077.img

Once the process is finished, disconnect your phone from your computer, then simultaneously press the buttons ' power ' and 'volume down ' until you feel a vibration.
Your phone will reboot into your new custom recovery.
Select ' reboot system now ' to reboot your phone !
How to root : ​
Just download the attached file --> UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.01.zip
Copy/paste it on your memory phone
Reboot into recovery mode
Flash the file & next reboot your phone
Enjoy ! You're root !
Stock recovery OPPO Find 7 X9077 (Maybe works for X9076)
Fastboot method IMG file --> x9077-official-recovery-mod.img
Flash the IMG file with this fastboot command :

I don't think because the original file size is 11.9 MB & this is 15 MB...

Works fine on X9077 but is smaller than normal...

Yep, hopefully that'll get sorted as it is a pain.... I have big clunky fingers and it can be a pain to switch things like memory to backup/restore...

As far as I know both X9006/07 and X9076/77 can be rooted using the X9006/07 method and this particular recovery can be installed on all too...
Also the Gummy CWM...
But as per usual, you are doing this to your own phone and you are, ultimately, responsible... Tha being said, I have the X9077 and swap recoveries all the time...

Nope, Chinese.... Was a very quick study to make it usable out here beyond the Great Wall....

Does it support unified storage?

Official TWRP doesn't work for me. After flashing it through fastboot the recovery has a black screen. Hardware-buttons are working though, so only the display part of the recovery is broken. I went back to TEAM Gummy Find 7/Find7a TWRP Recovery V2.7.1.0 which is fine for now. I will try it again later next week or so.

To determine the version of Windows 10 that you have (32 bit or 64 bit):
- Right-click on Start then click on System
- In the System window that opens, in System section, you will find your version of Windows next to System type
To disable Windows 10 64 bit driver signature enforcement:
- On your 64 bit Windows 10 desktop click on Start then on Settings
- Click on Update & security then in the left pane click on Recovery
- Under Advanced startup click on Restart now button
- Click on Troubleshoot then on Advanced options
- Click on Startup Settings then on Restart button
- The computer will restart with the Startup Settings screen
- To disable the driver signature enforcement until next restart press on number key 7 or F7 on your keyboard.
- After restart you can proceed with the unsigned MTK drivers installation for your 64 bit Windows
- After you install the unsigned drivers, to use them again in the future, you have to repeat this procedure
To install the MTK VCOM USB Drivers on 32 & 64 bit Windows 10:

Right-click on Start then click on Device Manager
In the Device Manager Window click on the first item – your computer name
Click on Action then Add legacy hardware
On the Welcome to the Add hardware Wizard window click on Next button
Select Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced) and then click on Next button
Click on Show All Devices then on Next button
In the Add Hardware window click on Have Disk… button
In the Install From Disk windows click on Browse… button
In the next window – Locate file – browse for the folder that you have extracted on the desktop at the beginning
Select the version of the driver according to your Windows 10 version – x64 for 64 bit and x86 for 32 bit and click Open button
Click the OK button to load the driver
From the list of drivers select MTK USB Port and click on Next button
If a red warning window will open, click on Install this driver software anyway
This action will add the following drivers in to the operating system:
- MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port
- MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM Port – for transferring the firmware to your device
- MTK USB DEBUG Port
- MTK USB Modem Port
- MTK USB port – for transfering PreLoader to your device (and recovery in case of bad or corrupt firmware)
Now we need to remove the device that we have installed but leave the drivers in the operating system.
To do that, in the Device Manager window we expand Ports (COM & LPT) section
Right-click and click Uninstall on the MTK USB Port
- In the Confirm Device Uninstall window make sure that the box Delete the driver software for this device is empty
- You need to leave the drivers in the operating system and only remove the device that you added
- Click on the OK button to finalise
Now, when you will connect your turned off MTK device to the Windows 10 computer by USB, the device will be recognized either trough a MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM Port interface or as a MTK USB port if it is bricked or it has bad/corrupt firmware. The SP Flash Tool will be able to transfer the firmware to your device trough this interfaces. Make sure you connect the device after you press the Download button in SP Flash Tool, as the communication interface will only be alive for 2 seconds if no data is being sent.

I have a new P8000 which has had an OTA update. I installed the MTK drivers on windows 10 following your excellent tutorial. I ran flash tool v5 using the P8000 root tutorial file from Elephone site with scatter.txt file and recovery image included. Connected my switched off phone after hitting download in Flash Tool. Flash tool said it had succeeded with its big OK sign. I press vol up and start button to enter recovery/fastboot Menu. I selected recovery and I get the android robot with "no command" underneath it. Thank for your help.

it should work now and you can flash eragon rom.zip. (but perform a fullwipe in recovery first, its in wipe section "clean to install a new rom" )

also i have mt65xx preloader is that wrong..i thought p8000 was mt67xx

installed linux ver and got it working but now get S_BROM_CMD_JUMP_DA_FAIL (1013)

Can I just ask, thought I read eragon comes with xposed already but can't find anything in the notes, just a anted to make sure before I flashed it?

Since v8 it is removed again. Related to some app incompatible error.
You have to flash it in recovery.
Look into eragon updater/xposed. There is all you need.

Yes friends its confirmed official marshmallow update has started rolling out. My friend's device has asked about new update available of about 1.4gb. But i am one update behind him so didn't got update . but i got the link from his mobile here it is

i have installed the MM update but got back to 5.1 i cant live without root lol

Sorry bro but did you tried fastboot oem unlock -may be lenovo had allowed to unlock it(but chances are 0.1/100)
Did also kingroot not worked?

Yes was trying kingroot but no succes
And dont want to unlock bootloader now maybe they can root mm without unlocking

Okay so coming to the bootloader unlock part,
After flashing Marshmallow, which definitely works,
Enable Developer Options in the Setting by tapping on 'Build Number' under About Phone in settings in Device Information
Then go back
Now you'll see a new option called 'Developer Options'
Click on it
Check for 'Enable OEM Unlock'
then move the switch to 'ON'
Enable USB Debugging
Connect your device to the PC
then open command prompt
navigate to adb(You need adb and fastboot)
now under command prompt type 'adb reboot-bootloader'
now your phone will reboot to Fastboot Mode
Now in CMD type 'fastboot OEM Unlock'

Press the 'Volume UP button'
your device will be formatted and will reboot to fastboot again.
Press and hold the Power button and it will shut down and then press and hold again and your device will start
NOTE:-This Bootloader unlock must be performed by advanced users, Also the Marshmallow ROM can't be rooted using kingroot Thats the only downside.. But still..
I tested this 'RIGHT NOW' and just typed this thread in case a developer can now create ROMs and stuff.
This is my first 'Development Related thread' so if this isn't the right place to place it, please move it if necessary

Yeah sure
But could you share its screenshot or a pic by other phone
Just do this
Connect your bootloader unlocked phone to pc
Usb debugging on
In cmd type adb rebbot bootloader
Now in fastboot mode type
fastboot getvar all
Now provide pic of the result of this command.
I recommend adding a text of your name on pic so to avoid other's claim but don't place any text to hide any info other than IMEI.

Good news friends unlocked boot loader in lollipop ROM and installed twrp recovery and it worked.
Sadly phone after 3-4 boots got stucked in bootloop and had to reflash stock ROM.
So I think the days are very near for our phone with custom recovery installed.
The countdown has started friends.

Guides Unlock boot-loader, installing Recovery and Custom Rom and MODS

first of all, im not developer im just sharing what i use
hello everyone.
i saw many in here asking about how to root or unlock boot-loader or flashing custom rom
so i will share what i have done (( again im just sharing and im not responsible of any damage ))
***first step is unlocking bootloader***​i used this Unlock thanx to http://lenovo-forums.ru/
now lets d the steps of unlocking​
UNLOCKING WILL FORMAT EVERYTHING so backup what u need
1. download and extract the app of unlocking will use it in step 5
2. go to Settings - About phone - device information and tap on "Build number" until you become a developer.
3. Go to Settings - Developer options - tap on OEM unlocking - then tan op Android debugging.
4. go to home in mobile and plug USB
5. go to the unlocking app and click on A7010_unlock
6. it will go to fastboot mode READ what asks for and click on volume up when it says so!
7. after it finished keep holding in power til it restart
8. it will take about 3-5 minutes to start
9. congratulations ur K4 is unlocked​
NOW LETS GIVE IT TWRP RECOVERY ​i use @mohancm Recovery its stable and no sdcard or internal sd bugs . but if u want anything else u can use its up to you!
now lets do the right steps for flashing custom Recovery
1. Recovery already in this ZIP file download it and unzip
2. now hold you mobile
3. go to Settings - About phone - device information and tap on "Build number" until you become a developer.
4. Go to Settings - Developer options - active Android debugging.
5. go to home in mobile and plug USB
6. go to the TWRP folder and click on TWRP_Install
7. it will go to fastboot mode and install recovery by it self
8. after it finished DONT REBOOT TO NORMAL MODE
9. keep holding power and volumes up and down till you see Lenovo start up Screen . now keep holding the volumes up and down keys till u get black screen, wait a bit and recovery will open
10. congratulations ur K4 is unlocked and have TWRP recovery .​
now lets Root it or install custom Rom​its up to you what ROM you want to use but i like resurrection-remix-m its bugles and smooth and fast
so if you like it u can download and use the coming steps . P.S steps will work on any custom Rom you choose to install
1. Download Rom and copy it to you external sdcard
2. go to recovery
3. Recommended - Full wipe and factory reset(including internal storage)
4. click on flash and flash the Rom you saved in external card
5. if you used resurrection remix Rom dont forget to flash GAPPS the recommended in the Rom Link
6. flash Supersu
7. reboot device
8. step up the mobile and leave it 5-10 minutes then reboot ,​NOW YOU ARE READY TO USE THE ROM​
Now lets talk about most used Roms and Mods that working very well in Lenovo a7020 ​ROMS​As showing up there is RESURRECTION REMIX M [5.7.4][MT6753] very good and stable Rom . will find it HERE
We have Nikkali Rom a very good Rom and stable and it have VOLTE working you will find it HERE
And we have macblaze Rom a very good Rom and stable and it have VOLTE working you will find it HERE
And we have Lenovo A7010 - CM13.0 its stable and smooth you will find it
HERE its Russian use translator
A user have updated the CM13 and made some mods and new things to it u will find it HERE its Russian use translator
will update when we have any full working ROMS​MODS​now lets talk about XPOSED
it have many mods and great things but as many users have report if you want to use a stock based ROM ROW-S232 for now if u install XPOSED will get bootlop
SOUND MOD
if you are using CM13 or RR its a great sound mod Divine Beats

Hi, When I click the link to the App for unlocking above "APP" it doesn't go to the unlocking app. It is instead linked to "recovery.img". By the way what is the name of the application? Tnx

First boot i pressed the volume keys (both) and power button and after Lenovo screen released the power button and keep holding the volume keys. till black screen appears.
after that no further display available. touch can be recognised. i mean vibration is coming while pressing on the sscreen and back key etc.
Please advise if I done something wrong.

You need to wait at least a minute after flashing recovery.
Don't touch phone till then.
After a min press power button once. You can unlock the recovery.
After that go to setting in recovery. Change brightness to 10% . small issue. But bothers lot in beginning.

8 - "DONT REBOOT TO NORMAL MODE"?
I do not understand step 9 ... I did not understand which buttons to press. I may not be able to restart in recovery mode.
Root = flash the zip with TWRP. Right?
Xposed = flash sdk23 / arm64 zip with TWRP. Right?

I couldn't get TWRP work in my phone, not sure what step I misunderstood or missed out. After the unlock process the phone will be reset and I need to set up dev, usb debugging again after normal reboot. After renaming/replacing recovery.img run the install twrp script. The phone will reboot into recovery and it normally says "press any key to continue" until the process is completed, then wait for a few minutes. However when I reboot to recovery mode it's still "Lenovo recovery" not TWRP. I did it about 3x with the same result. Any idea? Thanks in advance.
