[Q] Bell Phone Unlocked and using Rogers - Which ROMs? - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just Carrier unlocked my new (used) M8. It's a WWE version, originally for Bell.
I used SunShine to S-Off and then unlocked the phone. Its now using a Rogers Sim.
The phone has an old version of SkyDragon on it - Version 4.1., and the latest TWRP.
Here's my question... WHen I'm installing ROMS, updated Firmware, etc. do I use Bell or Rogers specific versions if there are multiple?
Again the phone was originally from Bell but I'm using a Rogers Sim.
Any advice would be appreciated. I want to be VERY careful with things as it's S-Off.

[Q] HTC one M7 Verizon unlocked Update issue

Hi. I have an HTC One M7 unlocked. I am currently using an AT&T sim in it. The problem is I can't seem to upgrade my phone to the new sense 6.0 since it requires the phone to be on CDMA network to update the software which is kind of lame since it's unlocked now. Is there a workaround for this or do I have to install a new rom? Thanks. Any help would be appreciated. :fingers-crossed:

[Q] [Radio] Update to latest radio

I have two HTC One M8 phones. One is a T-mobile phone converted GPE. The other one is a brand new unlocked phone I just bought from HTC. I've been having some trouble with my GPE phone not having LTE service where my new unlocked one has full service (T-mobile network). Radio version on new phone is 1.24.21331147A1.09G. Old phone is 1.22 something. Is there a way to pull radio.img off the new phone for flashing to GPE phone? Or is there a flashable 1.24 radio version around somewhere?
Also, are radio images only device specific or are they also carrier specific and/or ROM specific? In other words, does it matter what carrier or ROM for any given radio image?
edit: My One M8 converted GPE is S-off and Super CID.

Questions regarding factory unlocked AT&T HTC one m8

I bought a refurbished, factory unlocked HTC one m8 off eBay in February. I just got my hands on it last week. I live in India.
I have some experience with rooting the phone and installing custom rims. I'm currently using the HTC one m7 with ViperOne 8.0.0 on top.
I have a few questions that I need to find the answer to before I do anything on the m8.
1. What are the methods to s-off the phone?
Bootloader unlocked using htcdev
Hboot version is - 3.16
Running stock Rom 4.4.2, that I'm assuming comes with an at&t m8
2. Do I need to flash a firmware/radio for the phone to work in India?
3. Do I need to be looking at custom roms made specifically for the at&t version? Or can I flash any Rom built for the international version?
4. Is there a way to convert the phone to an international firmware/radio, etc. So I can flash Rom/mod meant for international version?
I'm not sure I explained my questions correctly, please ask if further info/explanation is required

And you be flashing Viper again I assume.
You'll need to use Sunshine S-Off. It cost $25, but it is guaranteed to work. They run a diagnostic check to make sure, and only ask for the payment then.
Once you are S-Off, you can go superCID and flash the 4.16.401.10 RUU, or flash the same version firmware.
In your situation, I would run the RUU instead of just flashing the firmware. Just my opinion. You could probably just flash the firmware at that point. The RUU is always the safest method though.

It depends on whether the bands needed to work on your carrier (3G and LTE, if applicable) are already supported by the AT&T version. If not, then you need to flash a radio that does support your carrier's bands.

Help with baseband upgrade?

I want to install CM13 on my M8, but before I do, I need to upgrade to mm baseband. I'm not sure which version to download, though since my m8 is att I assume GPE would be compatible, since they are both gsm. following the link in this thread did not work, Dead link.

Can anyone tell me if gpe baseband will be compatible, and link to a download for me?

You should use the baseband that supports the bands needed for your carrier (AT&T?). GPE baseband is best suited for T-Mobile.
If you are on the AT&T network, just flash the RUU intended for your AT&T M8 to update the baseband. RUU will wipe phone, so backup accordingly before RUU.
I'm on metro pcs, a subsidiary of T-Mobile. so then gpe should work, right?

M9u international rom to UK stock rom?

I have an m9u international and wondered if I can flash it to a UK version. Are there any easy guides? I've flashed Samsung phones before without any issues. I did my HTC One M7 but it bricked.
Uk uses the international version too so no need. It should accept your sim card.
Unless you mean using a carrier branded rom?.
