I have the Sm-T800 USA version 10.5 in WIFI and at one time I rooted and was running a version of CM12 (forgot which rom)
but I was trying to Flash back to stock from SAMMOBILE I used the (Cellular South XAR) version trough ODIN and now I only can see the battery and WIFI bars
where can I find a working 5.0.2 version that will work on this Tab
looking at selling it so I don't want it to be rooted or custom rom for the next buyer but I like to update it for them

yup, update via a flashable stock firmware zip in recovery (in the android development section i believe) or in odin (also in android dev section). make a nandroid and either run on stock or flash whatever rom you want to try out. of course, since your phone is rooted now with custom recovery already installed, you could just make a nandroid and flash something now. if you want to revert to stock, download the latest official firmware release then. cheers
Saw this in the development section. It looks to be cwm or twrp flashable 4.1.1.

Samsung KIES is where i updated mine to 4.1.1. i believe KIES also allows you to revert back to ICS if necessary. (it's called phone recovery or something like this).

Try mobile Odin in the play store. Download and extract the firmware to your computer. Then put it on the root of your external or internal sd card. Run mobile Odin from your phone and choose the ever root option. You will then have the newest firmware, rooted, with all your data intact.

(ATT S3) I was running 4.1.2 then rooted and installed custom rom.. notice phone having few issues so i decided to revert back to the stock firmware but flashed the 4.1.1 firmware. so my baseband shows the new update but shows 4.1.1 version. The phone runs fine but have any of the new features so how can i fix this.
If your phone is stock firmware for your carrier have you tried updating ota or through kies?

If you reverted back to a truly stock ROM, then you can update it using Kies.
Anyone know where I can find a stock recovery for a UK Tab 3 8.0 (SM-T310, BTU)?
I've looked in several archived but can't find the UK version,
samsung-updates for the SM-T310 device doesn't list one for the BTU region
samsung-updates for the BTU region has the LTE version (SM-T315) but not the wifi (SM-T310)
Alternatively, if I put it in download mode and use Kies "Firmware upgrade and initialization" will that restore the stock recovery? It currently has PhilZ recovery with blackhawk's NEXT kernel to dual boot the stock ROM and CM 10.2.
Thanks
Can anyone help with this....
i am also looking for a stock recovery img so i can upgrade to 4.4.X if samsung ever release it...
Thanks

The OTA updates will not work once you are no longer running a stock ROM with most, if not all, of the stock apps and the stock recovery. If you were still with AT&T I would suggest reverting to stock to enable you to receive OTA updates to 4.4.2. I am not sure if you could update over wifi while on a stock rom but not on AT&T.
Since you are no longer with AT&T the best would be upgrading bootloader and modem incrementally. There are 4.4.x roms that will run on the MJB (4.3) bootloader and modem as long as you have one of a few custom kernels installed, both TouchWiz and CM/AOSP ROMs. Some other 4.4.x roms say you need to be on at least the NE4 bootloader. There are stock based recovery flashable zips in the development subforum. Most of these will not upgrade your bootloader and modem, you would need to upgrade them separately. However, there are a few that will upgrade the bootloader and modem.
What is your current bootloader and modem? We would need to know this in order to point you to a correct starting point for your upgrade path. (You already stated that your device model is the i747, so I will not pester you about it not being another of the S3 variants.)
Hi,
I recently rooted then unrooted my phone.
I had installed cwm recovery and then went back to stock recovery.
I cant install the new ota update. I suspect some problem in unrooting prevents it from updating.
so I want to install stock rom (older version will do) and then update it to the current.
So how do I find which is my region specific rom version?
Thanks
