I Have been using cm10.1 nightly rom on my phone.... one fine day the phone stopped working, and it doesnt start up.
if i connect it to power supply, i am able to reach the recovery and change roms.... so then i changed rom back to default one by flashing PD98IMG.zip.
After that too same response from phone.
Phone doesnt start unless connected to charger.
If connected to charger and i turn it on... it goes up to the level were we can select language to be used in the phone... and then it restarts, also can still enter recovery when phone is connected to power supply.
Do you have any clue on the problem ?
Is it any hardware problem ?
How can i get the phone working again ?

Try booting without the sdcard. Then see if you can get a different battery...That doesn't sound to be a software issue.

Tried booting without sd card too .. did not help...
Dont think battery is damaged !
When in bootloader, or when phone is on the language selection state, try installing a stock ruu to see if it fixes the issue. If it does not it is 90% a hardware issue. If you can't find a ruu write here I will give you a link to one, if you would upload a picture of the bootloader for me(or write your radio version here)

My D855 got stuck in Fastboot mode, i try to get into TWRP, but also got stuck at teamwin screen. I went to Download mode, but then straight direct me back to Fastboot mode..... Now my phone couldn't switch back to adb mode, only stays at LG screen..... What can i do in fastboot mode? I try to do the command to restore the stock recovery, no working at all.....and all errors..... And my pc only can detect the phone when its in Fastboot mode, which is i can't flash stock rom or else..... Is there anything that i can do to get my phone back?
Which twrp are you using. I can't find for d855 only the d851 it has unlocked bootloader

Why did you install TWRP if you have a locked BL? Have you tried sending commands via fastboot to get into DL mode? Also have you tried to flash the stock ROM via fastboot using the fastboot flash img command?

Your phone is in secure lock! and flashes led?
Hold power and vol down when turning phone on, when LG logo appears stop pressing and press again, then it will say to hard reset, say yes!, then u go to fasboot, from there fasboot boot TWRP, and do what u want!, remember to see instructions! you have to backup ur recovery just in case...

Flash doomlords kernel via fastboot....then reboot to system....if it will not boot successfully then push a ROM zip by adb push and flash it....one more thing just check whether your phone is connecting to PC via fastboot or flashmode.
.
The best way to check is by flashtool...open flashtool software on PC and then connect your phone via fastboot/flashmode and see the status at PC flashtool....if its connecting then flash stock ftf and if not then 1st install drivers..

As far as I know, it is not possible to wipe partition from CWM (if You selected from one of the options from menu) which would lead to hard brick.
Let us start with basics. Can You tell Me which kernel You flashed to get CWM? Also, is there any vibration when You press and hold power button and volume up key together?

Huh, that kernel should have worked. I asked for the combination duration since many people make mistakes there. Since we are clear of that, did You try the rubber band trick from here? That trick sometimes takes more than a day to work.

hi, i really hope someone could help me,
I just put twrp and a custom rom on my phone and i was annoyed by the stupid warning messages at bootup so i tried to relock the bootloader with fastboot and disabled the allow oem lock option from the phone, after this my phone doesnt boot up anymore.
i can still get into twrp but there is nothing to do with it. i dont have anything on the internal storage( custom roms or anything) as it was wiped, it doesnt recognise an otg cable-usb stick either to put a rom on it (tried FAT, NTFS, and exfat too- its a micro usb otg cable with an adapter that works otherwise)
when i try to install a stock rom it doesnt let me obviously as the bootloader is locked, i cant use the fastboot oem unlock option because thats disabled from the developer options so i have no idea what could i do..
anyone here have a solution for this?

Flash a custom rom in recovery, boot into it and enable OEM unlock.
Unlock the bootloader in fastboot.
And then never again lock the bootloader if you have a custom recovery.
Maker that: Never lock the bootloader.... Why would you????
Edit: Oh, and you should have adb access in TWRP. Push the rom file to the phone or adb sideload it while in recovery.
i can't help you with unbricking your phone. in case you get it working again just don't attempt to lock your bootloader again as long as you are not on stock. the message when booting the phon is something you have to get used to i'm afraid.
as for your micro-usb OTG cable: from what i could gather around the web is that in your configuration this will never work. the problem is the micro usb to usb c adapter. it's not a problem of it beeing low quality or something like that, but rather an incompatible pin-configuration.
good luck anyway.

can you put files to the internal memory while you are in the recovery? i was not able to copy anything on it thats why i couldnt flash a new rom on it..
I tried t wipe the userdata, cache and those stuff but didnt let me cos it didnt mount the internal storage, but somehow it let me to do a factory reset in twrp which solved my problem. it booted in to the custom rom so i could enable everything..

I think you can enable MTP mode while you are in TWRP, then you can connect device to computer and copy files to internal storage. I've never get MTP work on my Galaxy S4's TWRP as well as adb sideload, but sideloading is working on my Nexus 9's TWRP. Who knows... maybe it works.

I could be mistaken but can't you go the route of flashing the latest factory image through fastboot? or can you not get to fastboot? - you would unlock the bootloader through fastboot, flash the files, relock and boot

Why don't stock roms work? I had this same incident and had to use a custom ROM because I kept getting Sig verification errors when flashing Google roms
I think the problem is you are on 6.0 MDA89E (from the picture of your error), so side loading the latest OTA won't work. But you definitely should I should be able to flash the latest TWRP and then boot into it and move a custom ROM into internal memory and flash, once booted in tick OEM unlock and unlock the bootloader in fastboot.

1)I had unstable wifi connection while downloading the android m OTA.
2)I removed the unlock bootloader check before rolling back in the developer options.
3)I can also sense that i am able to take screen shots when I am holding the power button and the volume down button based on the sound it normally makes (while capturing screenshots)
I am not able to come to conclusion whether this a hardware issue?(may be i need the replacement of the screen) or can it be due to corrupt ota file update?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
thanks
I would first see if flashing the m factory image solves the issue. Then look at hardware.

thank you but the problem is I am not able to see the screen at all and hence I am not able to go to the fastboot mode or recovery mode.

use "adb reboot bootloader" from command prompt to enter bootloader or if you know the device is off, press power + vol up + vol down for roughly 5sec, thatll get into bootloader. than flash factory image.
or last case scenario use wug fresh toolkit to force flash the image, make sure you select the device fails to boot box (I think that's what its called, the only other one states "device on/normal" <-- so NOT that one)

yes, the adb command will only work if debugging is on. Once in bootlader, use fastboot commands, debugging doesn't matter at that point.

Hi All,
I got the cable ,I had everything to flash the official factory images. But the problem is as mentioned earlier I haven't checked the oem unlock in the developer option and this is not allowing to flash the factory images and fastboot flashing unlock is failing.
Is there any work around for this please?

Not that I'm aware of. Sorry, there is a thread on here that may prove useful that deals with bricked phones with OEM unlocked off. The info there might help you at least get back to stock.

In that case ,do you think the service center guys have some other means to deal with if it is a software issue?

Possibly, I have no experience dealing with a service center unfortunately.

I also want to highlight that,I am getting a black screen on the fastboot mode too,i cant see nothing there..Only way i am able to identify that my device is in fastboot mode is by giving fastboot devices command.
So can this be a software issue?

You might want to look into android screencast.
I don't know if it still works with the latest android releases, but back in kitkat days if I had a screen that wouldn't display I could use screencast and I'd get the framebuffer displaying on the PC. While viewing on PC I could then do touchscreen "guesses" more accurately and presumably you'd be able to enable OEM unlocked bootloader so you can flash factory images.
