I bought my Note 4 today and I am wondering if there are any actual Lollipop ROMS that are cooked up or not... If I knew how I would customize my own, as of right now I have not even rooted it yet... although I want to. I have looked for them but they are all based on 5.0.1 or whatever... I was wondering if there was anything that was actually a port of it or if that makes a difference at all... I haven't rooted and flashed a phone in over a year and a half.... That is why I am cautious
Thanks for the help
Yes look in development theres plenty of lolipop roms almost all are

I've looked around and cant find anyone with any information about the rumored 32GB GSM version of the GN. Has anyone seen anything about this? Any rumors even?
My N1 is feeling older and older and I'm not moving to the big V so it has to be GSM. I currently have a 32GB SD in my N1 and don't want to go back to 16 gig although I could certainly "get by", I tend to accumulate many gigs of podcasts, Audible books, and of course Nandroids (admiting I'm a crack flasher is the first step to recovery).
I'm chugging along for now, but really want to upgrade.
I believe it actually doesn't exist.
There's already a thread about this..

Thanks. Not sure how I missed this one.
Is there any way we could get sensation ROM over to our device. I know its for the S2 but maybe a very talented dev could work on this.

That one is for s2, GSM, 800x480 screen, and completely different guts. Doubt that anyone other than the person who made it would bother to port it to s3, and that guy is from Romania. And, on top of everything, it's ICS, which is a year old hat.
There's no way, man.

I thought they gave up trying to port it to the S3 or at least the CDMA S3
I haven't read anything but it's always possible
Yeah I thought so too (that they gave up), we also haven't heard anything from swampgobbling which was trying to port sense 4.0. It sucks since I was looking forward to sense and seeing swamp port a bunch of things like he did for the epic touch.

this isn't a sense 4 rom it's a touchwiz Rom that was originally on the galaxy s then moved to the SII n my hopes were that someone could spearhead it coming to the SIII. The original dev even though he's not American is a nice guy and always looking to help spread his work. I've spoken with him before his Rom was ported onto the SII.
Hi everybody! I want to know if I can install the jellybam rom on my t999v Galaxy s3. And if I can, how I do this without bricking my phone.
Thanks

Is that the international version? Either way no there is no way. Maybe if a port script exists for your device you could set up a build environment and try to port it or ask a dev to do it. But your can't run any ROM that wasn't built for your device.
The T999 is the T-Mobile version of the S III, and, as far as I can tell, the T999V is the Mobilicity/Videotron/Wind Mobile version (sort of like the difference between the i747 and i747m); as far as I'm aware, although the two devices are more cross-compatible with each other than with, say, the international version, there are still enough differences between them that you won't be able to directly flash a ROM designed for one onto the other.
That said, it should theoretically be very easy to port from one device to the other.

I just stumbled across this thread; perhaps this is easier than I thought it was.
Found the port script for the us gs3

Never tried it but seems easy enough
I really really want this but it seems nobody has made it or wants to make it.
I want to make it but I've never made a ROM.
How could I make it? Is it even possible?
if z find source code itz poss
Take a look at Samsung Open Soucre Release Center an search for T110. You can get Sources for JB and KK.
If there's a source for jb you would think a rom would be released

I tried to port CM10 today but couldn't get it to boot. I too would love to see something other than touchwiz. If I run across anything that will get us closer to "other than stock" I will be sure to post it here.

I tried to use the tab2 lite as the port. Any suggestions as to which tablet I could use to port from. I figured the Tab2 would have made a perfect candidate but man was I wrong. Back to the drawing board. Lol.

Thete is hardly any development on this phone. My note 2 and 3 there were tons of roms. But it's dead here . Every one leave sprint? Not that i blame them sprint is pretty lame. ..
Nah, my guess would be that since we all know Lollipop 5.xx is coming, the developers are probably waiting. It's still a pretty new device too. Jmho...

Cm and asop romz are built almost daily n there getting more stable
Hybrid-X Stock ROM is probably the most stable and best rom out at the moment. He is also woking on a dark version of the Stock rom. Soo many options unlocked in this rom.
I use to use CM as it was basically "Rooting for Dummies" I am not cutting anyone down (I use to love CM) but you dont have to think with that rom you install and it does the rest it will even update the rom for you. You dont have to think when you have that rom, you are safe and should not have any problems which is why I loved it. However their roms were not stable and updating too often so I tried other builds and found Hybrid-X to be the best so far.
My guess is tho everyone else is waiting for Lolipop to arrive. But tx is still working hard on his ROM and is always improving it even when he says he is done for a while, all of a sudden there is an update or a new mod you can use. If you dont use his at least watch the build and see what is still going on with his rom.

Oh and Sprint may seem lame to you, but all carriers have their own pros and cons. For me I left verizon and came to sprint for the unlimited data and I pay a lot less monthly. Went from having to data-mine and count my megabites, to not having to worry, and I typically use 60-70 gigs a month on just my phone I get my money's worth.

Maybe we should all jump ship to Verizon or AT&T. Oh wait, there is no development on either because you can't even root their Note 4's...

I was also curious about this, I'm not too familiar with the whole developer side of android, so I'm learning!
When the official lollipop version is released for the Note 4, will we see more ROMs being developed?, and higher quality? Or should I expect things to stay about the same?
I've really really enjoyed several ROMs I've tested, I'm just curious what to expect once the official Lollipop TW is released.
Good things come to those who wait
Someone on the Hybrid page said they went back to stock and are currently downloading Lollipop. Posted screen shots too, won't be that much longer if this is actually the case. I would assume there will be a lot more action soon, or else the roms that are being made will be the best and there will be no need for a ton of different ones.

This was exactly the reason for the hault in production in KK roms. At least it was for me. No point wasting time on a soon-to-be out of date build. And to sum up the OP's initial post... for anyone who is not happy with the lack of roms for your phone, then there are options for you. You can learn to build your own roms and you can also donate to developers to support and encourage then to continue buildg roms for free. The only reason i started building roms for the Note 4 was because there was really not many if any devs building roms for us sprint users. I made the choice to get off my @$$ and do something about it instead of crying and making posts about it. FYI to anyone not aware... building roms takes a LOT of work and a lot of time. Take that for what it's worth. I would love to sit on my @$$ and wait for awesome roms to come out and not have to build them myself!!! That's the sweet life!!! to those of you who have shown your support and respect to the few devs here in the Sprint note 4 forums, we ALL Thank You!!!
