[Q] Revert from Viper custom ROM to latest OTA HTC Sense - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I'm sure this information is on this forum somewhere but I am having difficulty in extracting what I need and dont want to bork my phone!
I have been using the Viper ROM for about a year now but I want to go back to the standard HTC sense rom now that its been in the wold for a while with lolipop.
Can anyone help or point me to a guide that is relevent for this situation..? It is (was) not a GPE edition but is locked to EE in the UK.
Thanks

Hi.
As a noob that I am, I didn't backup my ROM, and now would like to restore it.
I've tried several, and tired several option but none work.
Can anyone help me restore the original ROM?
Best regards
Ricardo Carvalho
You have to provide some info! Which network, country, SLCD or Amoled?
Download an ruu then run it.
Swyped...
I tried going back to stock RUU (waranty return) and the program would never run till I removed the windows hboot driver.
After that I was back to stock in a matter of minutes.

need htc desire original rom
Hi ALL,
Is any one help me to get original rru for htc desire.....
Try this thread to find your original ROM. You have to give more info, though; there are stock ROMs for all around the world, and you might have a hard time pinpointing your exact RUU.

Depends on what version lollipop you want.
If you want GPE lollipop than Supercid and grab a GPE ruu and flash it
If you want a Sense version lollipop than Supercid convert to Dev edition using ruu
"S-OFF" required of course.
I've not added any links cause I believe if you search what's been mentioned than you can find good reading and learning along the way that will help you keep from damaging your nice bada?? device

Need help on marshmallow update! (HTC__044)

Hi! i've tried searching around but couldn't find any guides on how to convert my one M9(asia version) to dev/unlocked edition. Any idea how to do it?
I'm a total newbie when it comes to rooting/flashing stuff so if anyone can provide a clear step-by-step guide, it'll be great!
I have a M9u, CID is OPJA100(i think? its printed there my M9 box), Software number 2.11.708.27, HTC__044
S-on, not rooted, bootloader locked. Just a fresh new M9 i've gotten recently
I really wanna try out marshmallow on my M9
I suggest that you wait for the update rather than messing through all the steps cuz u know you are on official stock and unmodified version

Yeah that might be the best and safest option for me right now. Anybody knows when marshmallow will arrive for these asia variants?
If you are not S-off.You can't become a dev version now.Cause Dev version need CID and MID both right.

Help With HTC ONE M8 (UK Vodafone) Reverting Back To Stock From Skydragon

Hi Xda'ers!
I am in need of help with my HTC one M8!(UK Vodafone)
i thought it would be a good idea rooting and installing a custom ROM (skydragon)
i used the "m8 toolkit" to get it up and running
but now i need to revert it back to stock and guess what?!
i didnt back up before i installed the custom rom !
can anyone please help me i was running 6.0 with sense 7 before i messed it up and want it to get all the OTA updates like it did before
please help :crying:
Go to this thread.
Read the instructions in the first post, then flash the stock ROM backup for Vodafone from the second post (or the third post if you are already on Marshmallow, which I think you are not) and stock recovery for Vodafone that is provided in the fourth post.
You are the man ! Worked a treat! Thanks!!

I don't know how you guys perform a search but when i type "htc10 2.41.401.4 ruu xda" i get several helpful posts.
Take your time and read things carefully. Do NOT perform any action before you understand what you are doing.
Cheers
