You dont have to select it in sound Effects
Do 1 thing
open Viper and go to options click on uninstall driver
go to settings Application manager click on Clear data>then uninstall the app
Then install Busy box
open either do a smart install or normal install
then install Viper FX
then install the driver by launching the app
then reboot instantly once you install the driver.
now launch the Viper and make the settings which suits the best.
Now enjoy.
*You dont have to select it in Sound effects.

try to restore if there is a backup. or post this query on the same thread someone should be able to help you there.
Hi Guys this thread is mainly for those who badly want Dolby Digital Plus in their Roms .
Am not the creator of this app am just sharing you the link of a thread that I have found and personally tested all credits goes to @thereassaad for his hard work.
I have personally tested this mod its working fine for me:
Note: Remove all audio modes before flashing it .
Change SELinux status to Permissive

Huh... i forgot to change, now it's working, thanks.
Working Great had to change Selinux permissions to Permissive, Dolby Digital Plus not working i think it's better than default Audio Fx....

Try This install the app and change SELinux status to Permissive it will work, i think you need a custom kernel to work Dolby.....

No Need to uninstall AudioFx dolby only works with a custom kernel with Faux sound support....

hey, it doesn't give any bass, at least cm12's audio fx gave bass.
pls add bass functionality or add an Uninstaller.

Hi, I have a problem with Viper4Android. It doesn't want to to install.
What i've done/tried:
- Phone is rooted
- Running CM13
- ElementalX
- SELinux set to Permissive on every boot (SuperSU)
- Tried installing driver through app and zip (flash)
- I have deleted /system/vendor/etc/audio_settings.conf
What should I do/What did I do wrong?

Anyone success to install sound mode like dolby or viper on mi a2 lite?
I do not know about that but sound on my old Redmi 3 was much lauder and beetr than on Mi A2 Lite.

viper4android FX materialized is highly recommended for install
(installed via magisk module, pressing volume + button 3 times during install)
no significant extra battery usage, here are settings for headset, speaker and bluetooth:

I'm still using headphones settings from my old Moto G4.

I'm listening only to Rock, Punk, Metal and similar stuff, but I think these settings are pretty good for chart music aswell.
Edit: Don't forget to disable MusicFX app and "Headphones & audio effects" settings inside Android sound options when using V4A.

Tried Dolby digital Plus but app crashes.
Sound quality through speakers is mediocre.

flash zero audio patch for volume gain and viper for tweaking stuff (both work for pie) , you will need audio modification library module if you want to use both .
PS- I'm using this combo and it works well on lineage .

What about audio modification library?
sound is lower in pie since there is no dolby that magically enhance the effect. especially in Pubg, i barely hear nothing with the speaker.

I am using dts, viperfx and Dolby all are working. My rom is miui ms 9.9.3.
