[Audio Mod] ●►Dolby Digital Plus for Moto E Lollipop Roms

Hi Guys this thread is mainly for those who badly want Dolby Digital Plus in their Roms .
Am not the creator of this app am just sharing you the link of a thread that I have found and personally tested all credits goes to @thereassaad for his hard work.
I have personally tested this mod its working fine for me:
Note: Remove all audio modes before flashing it .
Change SELinux status to Permissive
Tested Roms:
AICP
Oct Os

Huh... i forgot to change, now it's working, thanks.

Working Great had to change Selinux permissions to Permissive, Dolby Digital Plus not working i think it's better than default Audio Fx....

Try This install the app and change SELinux status to Permissive it will work, i think you need a custom kernel to work Dolby.....

No Need to uninstall AudioFx dolby only works with a custom kernel with Faux sound support....

hey, it doesn't give any bass, at least cm12's audio fx gave bass.
pls add bass functionality or add an Uninstaller.
after flashing this audio fx doesn't work anymore

Dolby ATMOS and MaxxAudio Mod for Moto E

Hi Guys ,
Here am sharing two new audio mods which I have been personally tested and working with lollipop roms.
Tested Rom: AICP
Dolby Atmos it is an advanced version f Dolby Digital Plus and another one is MAXX Audio.
Note: Remove all audio mods before flashing
Make sure you set your SeLinux to Permissive other wise you will get FC

if u r using aosp based roms then directly flash it and if u r using cm based roms then u need to edit some lines in audioconf file

Which ROM are you using? AOSP based or cyanogenmod based? If you are using cm based, you need to edit some lines from audioconf or it force closes.....

This is Dolby Digital, not Dolby Atmos...
A BIG difference.

The sound is really good do what want!

No.
The sound with Dolby Atmos is a completley different universe. The highs and the basses are more clearer and vivid. Dolby Digital sounds distored snd dump and cheap.

Finally i found a way to bring Dolby Atmos to work on the AOSIP Oreo rom!
You need permissive Mode. (Selinux Changer)
Download this zip:
*Deleted*
Install the zip trough TWRP and reboot.
After rebooting you see only Viber4Android FX in the App Drawer.
You have to extract the Dolby Atmos App from the Zip, and to install it.
Open Dolby Atmos, it should work now.

This does not work Bluetooth brakes and then will not boot again.

You are right. After some hours it doesnt work anymore. Its not stable.
But than i found this new version from 2. February:

The app is crashing when I try to start it. I'm wondering if it is related to the Arise magisk module, or my Arise install. Did you have any other audio mods installed when doing this?

No.
I flashed only this mod, unpacked the zip and installed the Dolby Atmos apk. Than i deleted the system partition, flashed the rom and the gapps and magisk, reboot and Fiesta.
Now i installed viber trough as magisk module. Dolby Atmos is still working and viber to.
And i had no arise config in the root!

Okay, just to make sure I have this correct. You flashed the atmos zip, then booted, installed the apk that is in the zip and then did a clean flash of AICP?

I found a newer and better Atmos mod.

Flash it in TWRP, should work normal.
For me it works great.
I have a X720 and i am on AOSIP Oreo 8.1.

After flashed the dolby zip from twrp I was stuck in the boot ... then I came back in TWRP and I flashed the rom zip without wipe .... then restarted the device and it restarted well ... in the drawer there is the dolby app and it works (with some small interface flaw).

my device X727 (Lineage OS 15.1) with magisk for systemless root. It shows up as magisk module after flashing through twrp so it needs root.

Hi XDA, I reversed engineered chdloc's dual stereo speaker mod into a magisk module for simple and easy installation, it is simply just flash the module in magisk and profit! I will be uploading to the official repo soon, but here is the zip for now. Have fun!
The mod is NOT for loudness, @chdloc told me that if I try to make it louder, it would cause distortion with the speakers. This is why I included the pixel speaker ctrl app
The Permissive module is Required it is inside the download folder that you can navigate via the the link
If you are on an AOSP rom with the July patch, your SE linux may be permissive already, check in settings before flashing the permissive module

Honestly I can't tell if it works and its sound is very low or if the sound comes only from the bottom and just doesn't work properly for me only.
How should I find if the install was successful?

I'm currently in the process of implementing a tasker script for balancing this, It works when you use tasker, but trying to integrate it on boot in the module

I'm working on a way to make so that you can remove the app if you want. I just need to figure out how to put a custom shell script into the module. Any thoughts? (I'm a n00b at making these)

Uninstall viper and the audio modification module. Install the viper fx module and choose original at install don't reboot. Install the audio modification module reboot. If viper has an update do this again. Hope it helps.

the last time i have used viper i did not install any audio modification module. so maybe that was the problem. can you recommend one?

They're in the Magisk Module Repo.
You only need to install the modification library if you install other audio mods aside from Viper. What you might've been missing is the Audio Compatibility Patch(also in the repo). This is needed to allow all audio(such as Soundcloud that uses it's own EQ) to go through Viper. The only downside with the compatibility patch on the P2XL, it causes stuttering when 2 audio sources try to overlap each other for a good, lets say 10 seconds?

I use this viper and have to remove and reinstall this audio mod Everytime there is a viper update. I forgot to mention I had overlap over Bluetooth about 50% of the time for the duration of use. I disabled music fx and it fixed it. For viper I choose new and original theme.

Sorry to bump an old post, but does anyone who has viper working on pie when they reboot their phone viper opens up automatically? I installed through magisk and am still on the initial release of pie. It works I just never had this happen before and curious if I'm the only one.

You could always try this V4A version and installation. Haven't seen the issue that your reporting on this particular version and setup :good:
