Looking for Pixel Art Graphic - Design, Prototyping, UI, Graphics

Hello!
I am new to this forum so maybe it's not the best place to advertise it but i will give it a try. I am looking for someone who will help me with some Pixel Art for my first Indie game. For last few months i am creating my 1st tactic turn based game on PC and i have big struggle with graphic. I've learned a lot about this type of graphic but still it's big problem for me, i can't progress with this game as fast i would like to because of the graphic issues. If there is anyone who would like to help me or maybe someone who is starting with graphic and trying to put his work into something then PM or just send me a message on my mail [email protected]
PS. Just to make it clear, i am doing it for fun, for sake of doing game and i am just a student so i wont pay you for work unfortunately :/

Are you a retro game artist?

I originally posted this on deviantART earlier today but have received no responses. 1800PocketPC recommended that I also try here. I didn't even think there may be designers lurking in the developer ranks...!
[EDIT: Apparently I'm not allowed to add a link to back-reference the deviantART link because I'm a newbie.]
I'm a software developer from the UK with absolutely no graphical ability. None. Every time I come here and see the awesome visuals that you guys produce I am literally blown away. The sheer range and quality of graphics are mind-blowing.
I'm primarily a web developer but in my past I've been involved with creating Flash-based games along with designers, but my eye's recently been caught by the Windows Phone 7 system that Microsoft are producing and the XNA architecture that you can use to develop games for it.
If you don't know, basically MS are throwing a tonne of money at their new phone operating system (coming out in a couple of months) and will have an application ecosystem similar to Apple's. My plan is to get a few (simple) 2D retro-style games up on their app store to try and capitalise on this surge of new people.
I am more than capable of developing the architecture for the game. I have experience in developing tile-based gaming engines and have already produced one example of a top-down "fighter" game using XNA and some dodgy graphics as a proof-of-concept. My plan is to take this and some other games I have ideas for, develop them in conjunction with a designer (or two) and put them on the marketplace.
I'm looking for someone interested in creating some retro-style game graphics/sprites to help me achieve the goal of selling these games and making us both - hopefully - some money. I'm hoping that someone out there there's someone, possibly a student, who'd like help. Even if the games don't get off the ground (and/or don't make any money), I will provide Windows-executables of the game that the artist might be able to use for course credit, CV, or something similar.
Please note that this is not a paid job. Not up-front, at least. However it is something that I hope will take off and we can arrange a profit-share for. I'm willing to accept the costs of getting onto the approved-developer-list (so that we can submit applications).
Is anyone interested?
Craig.

I have some cogs turning in my head about a variant of audiosurf, except its more of a puzzle, with your favorite tunes. I really think it will take off if its done right, I just need the know-how to develop it myself
Cheers guys
Have emailed you both. Anyone else interested?
I think this is a great idea and my plan is to work with a number of designers on a number of different games/applications/projects over the coming few months, so as many as possible!
Craig.
I'm interested. I have experience in Photoshop (7 years) and am a beginner in character design and fine arts as well. Shoot me an email and I'll show you some of my work.
glad to see you finaly got the ball rolling on this

New demo of Windows Phone game

Hello, I write you from CK7 Studios, a new indie game development company.
We are releasing My Little Tower Defense, a game for Windows Phone, on october, as the device is released.
We would like people to try our game before it's launched, and we have uploaded a demo to ck7studios dot com (works on Silverlight). Please check it, we are sure it will be really fun for you.
Just share any of your thought about the game in the thread, we will really appreciate them to improve our game before launching.
Thanks for your time!
Interesting game but very hard to play with a mouse
Is it hard? We have been working to make it easier from previous versions, but maybe it's not completely polished. Could you tell us more about the problem please... is the game too fast? it does not recognize your clicks? it is stresful with lots of enemies on screen?
Anyway, thanks for your tips!

Definitely a little hard to play with a mouse since you can only interact with one object at a time. Fun concept though!
Nice game.... It's OK for me to play with the mouse, but don't know how will be playing it with fingers, especially when you put 2 thumbs over the display and can't see anything
1. Seems like an interesting game with a fun concept.
2. The step up between the 2nd and 3rd round on level 1 seemed a little abrupt. You go from having a couple of towers and a few bad guys to having an onslaught of bad guys with sheep flying everywhere. Maybe introduce the black sheep a round or level after the white sheep and not simultaneously?
3. The game would definitely benefit from multi-touch, which is impossible to assess using a mouse. Hopefully you have implemented this in the phone version.
4. This is just a style thing, but the English on the instructions has some grammatical errors. Not sure where you are from, but if the game will be released in English, it might be worth it to iron that out.
Great effort, look forward to trying the release!

Chain Reaction - another good little game

Found another addicting, simplistic game to try. It's free and super easy. But it's time-passingly fun.
Hmm... What is the purpose of this "game" (except showing ads)? Funny popping sound?
One of my all-time favorites (from it's Facebook days).
The purpose is to figure out a way to create a chain reaction of explosions (hence the name ). The longer the chain, the higher the score you receive. The catch is that you only get one tap to start the reaction. If you don't explode enough of the balls on any level, you have to try again - you can't move on to the next level.
hello
whats the name of game?
Chain Reaction (it's in the thread title ).
I also found two more new games that seem to be pleasant: Enigmo, an XBOX Live title, and FlagSpotting.

You don't understood my irony (I'm already tried that game before posting).
This game requires no skills, no reaction, no intelligence, u just can play with your eyes closed. Deferentially not my game...

I'm sure there are plenty of other, challenging, games for you to be satisfied with. They all don't have to be for you.
Woohooo! Beat all 30 levels of Chain Reaction!
Thanks for the great comments!
Thanks for all the kind words regarding our newest game! It is doing better than we ever could have hoped for and really appreciate all of the support. We will try to keep the game fresh with new levels, and maybe even a couple of unexpected features. Any feedback anyone here has would be greatly appreciated.

You're doing a super excellent job with this wonderful little game. I don't know if the save feature was there prior to the last update, but I had call to use it recently and was appreciated.

The save feature has actually been there since version 1.0. It would automatically save your game any time the game "tombstoned" (Press the Windows key, get a text message, etc.). However, we realized that people would have no way of knowing this since it was not an advertised feature. That is why we added in the save game and exit button on the pause menu so that everyone would know that they could do that. Plus, with the 40 level "Insane" mode, it can take you a little while to work all the way through it. Maybe not something everyone wants to do in one sitting.
We can't say thank you enough for everyone making Chain Reaction such a hit! Look for our next game Pooping Pigeons to hit the marketplace later this week. Check out this page for some screenshots of it:

(I would link it for you, but since we are new to the XDA forums it will not let me post links yet. Some kind of anti-spam measure.)

WP7 Gamers

Hi all, with the current lack of global leaderboards, or any specific WP7 Gaming community (that I've found) I've set up WP7 Gamers.
At present, we're on Facebook and twitter (search out WP7 Gamers). A fully fledged website may follow later should interest deem it worthwhile. Also as this is done in my spare time (which I lack enough of!) - if anyone is interested in becoming an admin/mod/poster - please feel free to drop me a message!
Not wanting to upset the mod's on here, this is not run for profit! Just couldn't find what I was looking for! so set out to make it myself. Also for the dev's out there wanting to promote their titles, please feel free to send any information/screenshots/video's and I'll make sure they are shared
Hope this is ok?
gr8 idea dude
Hey sHAYM4N I'm trying to message you but it's not letting me, can you send me one that I can reply to? Thx man.
If you want, I could lend you my website.
It was supposed to be a site dedicated to game news/reviews for WP7 that I started as a school project, but I couldn't find the time to continue it. If you and a small group wanted to take charge more or less, I would give you guys all the info needed to moderate the forums, and if you wanted to, you could even post news and get the front end going again - assuming people posting news were literate.
Let me know.

Cheers for that, but I may have to look at designing from scratch for what I have in mind.
I don't really want this to be another new/reviews website if it goes that way. I want to try and create something that I see as an extension to XBox Live. Something different...
Having a quick search around it appears Microsoft don't have an open API for XBox which is a real shame tbh, because there are a lot of things that could be done further which I don't think are yet being taken advantage of.
In a perfect scenario I would like to see members register for the website using their gamertag, from there they could access leaderboards, compare gamerscores, compete in challenges, whilst also being an active social forum for indie developers.
I'd also be looking for the site to be run by 5-10 people - preferably from different timezones!
If the idea took off and interest grew, challenges could turn into competitions, advertising into supporting the site etc...
When I get chance I'll mock up some designs. I'm more of a designer than a developer - so if anyone has got any advice, or want's to get on board so to speak - feel free to let me know!
For the time being there will be weekly challenges on the Facebook Page. Get the highest score by the closing time, and your gamertag/pic will be crowned on the Profile Pic.
I'll also be posting information about Indie Games, so if you want your game featured please let me know! They won't be reviewed so to speak, just information/screenshots. The idea is to provide the information, and let the community review the game.
sure haven't said:

Whoa that's weird, sHAYM4N.
I messaged you back the day you wrote me, was getting heartbroken that you hadn't written back
Can you PM me an email and I'll email you instead?

Rage Of Bahamut

I play a game called Rage of Bahamut and its cool and free once you finish the tutorial enter my code to get a rare card and 100k in rupies my code is rah01853 and once you do that search for me under users my name is njtechguy and I will send you another rare card and help you along the way.
Yeah RoB!
A fantastic card game, that doesn’t get old. I thought it would be an app that comes and goes and you find that after a week or two you are bored, this is not the case of RoB. There is enhancing and evolving cards, battling and arranging decks in a defensive and offensive manner to optimize battle. Join an order and be a part of something more, help the order grow and fight battle with your fellow for a more team like experience. There is pressure to join a an Order, you can wander the battle fields as a lone warrior if that is what you desire.
Some tips for the newbs,
1. Concentrate on building your stamina initially while slowly building you attack and you defense you can worry about later. More stamina means more questing which means more, rupies (the games cash), more items, more treasures, more cards and more experience. These things can be used to enhance defense and attacking for your battles.
2. Do start to think about building a/some decent defense cards from the get go. You can still have a decent defense with not much defense stats initially if you enhance some of the higher power cards that you get from friendship card packs, which you can get for free from your friendship points. This is so that you don’t get attacked easily. Winning a battle when someone else attacks you gains you rupies, and can happen while you sleep! If people see that you have a little defense stats they will be more interested in attacking you, especially early on in the game when most people are learning and have not got great cards. If you have a decent defense card/s then when they attack you will be prepared and win! And you don’t need rare cards initially to get decent defense!
3. Take advantage of all the bonuses available, tweet (if you don’t tweet normally just make an account and don’t invite anyone to see you posting), open the game every day for daily bonuses.
4. Get fellows straight away, every fellow you get will raise your stats by 5 pts. There is no commitment or need to interact with your fellow. You request them as fellows, they accept, you both get stat pts, continue playing RoB 
5. Don’t rush out and use your Cure Water on you first few quests or Holy Powder after your first battles. Wait for events or wars etc. If you find yourself bored because your stamina and attack are depleted then go Support other players to gain friendship points to get card packs. Everything helps initially.
If you need any more info or want to trade look me up, superhumanxx, just search superhuman, as the game doesn’t seem to always produce results if you put in the whole name??
If you are just starting, after the tutorial enter the referral code: hnh88687. You’ll get a Rare god card and a big wad of rupies (cash), 100,000 rupie, which is a great help at the beginning.
P.S. If anyone declares you get anything more from there referral code pulling your finger!
Good luck and enjoy RoB

How do you join an order once you get an invite? On "My Page" order invites show up but then when I click one it just takes me to the order's page and asks me to request an invite.
I feel like I'm just missing something really stupid here so any help would be MUCH appreciated- I really want to join an order!

So I just started to play this and I kinda like it.
I have one problem tho.
I have 2 cards. One is very strong and one is not. When I go to battle it always makes me use the weaker card and I can't figure out how to switch it to the stronger one so I keep losing. And what happens when I lose? Do I lose money or items or what?

Edit:
So after playing for a while and somewhat learning I realized I did too many mistakes. Is there a way to deactivate the account and start a new one on my phone?
