Not with all the live stuff (would be nice though) but when I flip something up it goes into trash or closes it (think it is nice interaction) also with only pages/programs open shows up in screen slides with this interaction. Could possibly make winmo perform a little better. Sorry for bad wording and such but pressed for time at work Hope someone takes interest in this .
A really good simple app idea for Windows Phone 7
Its funny how one always has a great app idea after the event (read; http://www.windowsphone7.com/ineedt...2526pmodex253D1x2526gridviewx253D0#pbbh21054p),
An app I thought that would be really cool is a supermarket price comparison. The 'story' is that you visit you local store with your shopping list on your phone; the phone checks off the items on the list when you scan their respective barcodes, also as you scan the barcode it brings up the price for the product and the price from the competitor supermarket chains. I think this app would really sell well, and people will buy it because they know they will make their money back in their first shop
What do you guys think?
i would definitely use it
+1 !
but the problem is: who will update the price and the product list?
I believe there already is an API available (for the web -UK supermarkets) which does this for you...all a coder/dev needs to do is build the app.
an API for worldwide would be perfect... i think google provide such api for US/europe?
otherwise, maybe somebody can find an agreement with online stores to provide prices and models ...
really the idea is interesting and someone should start coding it (personnaly i don't currently have enough time )
I remember hearing of the Iphone porting of apps a while back
I was just wandering is anyone actually doing this? I know there is an windows equivalent every now and then but sometimes the apple app works better. I know I am a 6'4 guy that 270, and I love the Lose it App (my fiance has) and I know about vita one (no were near the build in database). And other things that help communicate with others and such. I am not going to apple been there 2x and always perferred windows mobile for the last 6+ years just wanted to ask this. If someone took it up to port apps I am pretty sure there would be hundreds or thousands of people willing to donate/pay for your hard work. Just a thought.
Problem with porting certain apps, is it requires you to actually have a iPhone
If you got some links to apps you would like ported, with screenshots and so on, I'd love to check it out, as porting apps is a good challenge to get familiar with the development environment.
Thanks I meant to put this in the development and hacking section in general not just windows 7 , here is a link to one of them I thought about creating a bounty or reward system for people to request apps and pay developers here to port them? Here is the link for one http://www.loseit.com/
really nice app because the database is constantly updated with nutrition facts from most of places we eat. I will have more later when I repo my girls phone for a while.
I would totally use this. I have the Shopaid app and it is okay, but doesn't update the price and such
The thing is with applications like that, is it depends more on the data that's available. Duplicating the interface into a Metro styled hub for weight-loss and exercise could be done in a day or two, but getting the actual data setup is a completely other story.
Beyond that, you can be totally sure people will duplicate that type of app.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_A4TdEV3Sk
Looks like someones already getting the ball rolling.
Someone is already developing that app actually, just go to Youtube and type "windows phone price check app" and you'll see. I can't post the link because I'm new here! The app looks amazing so far.
My company, with decades of experience with Windows development, is looking to break into mobile development in a big way with the launch of WP7. We have a couple of original ideas we are working on, but we would also like to officially port a successful iPhone app or game for some additional credibility.
I've approached a couple of different iPhone app developers with this proposal:
>>Let us port your app at our expense and we split the proceeds 50/50.
>>You retain all ownership and have quality assurance approval before launch.
I have tried every phrasing I can think of to convince them I am legitimate and that I want to create an arrangement where I take on 100% of the risk, but we share equally in the reward.
So far, not even a reply.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Jason
ebook readers
I curently have an HD2 and will probable end up with a WP7 device at some point when they come out. However I'm a big ebook fan and at the moment i'm tempted to get an android phone so that I can use he Kindle app. I'm waiting to see what developers come up with for WP7.
Do you think there's a good chance of a kinde app or something like it being made for WP7?
Cheers
Steve
I think so. I think the amount of sales will be suprising, and that there will be more hardware with WP7 on it than critics give it credit for. There are alot of peopl ethat HAVE an iPhone that want out. My father just got the AT&T Galaxy S (Captivate) and loves it, diching his iPhone 3G.
I think they would be silly not to. I'd prefer a Nook app on WP7 myself, but something to start would be nice!
Brandon Watson said they were worknig with developers who already had WM apps - that means B&N for sure. MS also has an eboo reader but it's unclear if they are going to bundle it with the phone (not likely). Based on the ease of writing WP7 apps I'd suspect all of the large developers to write a WP7 app and they are permitted to have their ebook stores.
Let's hope that you guys are right and there is a strong enough uptake to make all the big players developer readers for WP7. competition is a good thing after all!
Cheers
Steve
I relay like your idea…
After all because I had nearly the same
But I would give it more features…
X Online Service for the markets where they can register the products with barcode and price
-„POI“ Database with geodata of the markets
-Markets can enter special offers
X Online „Community“ section
-Users can Post reviews and vote for products
-Users can vote for markets / stores
-Users can enter alternate products
X Private section for Users
-You can make your grocery list an search for alternate products
-You can enter an amount of saving and a distance you would go for
So the system could give you a shopping tour
Now to the Phone App
X The App can download your grocery
X You can make a Live price comparison with the barcode
-The app could give you a market / store, it would consider your amount of saving and a distance you would go for
X You can do a live vote for Products and Stores
X You can enter a grocery list
X You can search for alternate products
X The app would use the geodata and GPS
SHOP NAV!
I thought of an app years ago called shop nav.
You type in your shopping list and your phone guides you around the store in the correct route. If your in your local then you know where everything is.but how many times have you shopped in a different store one only to find everything is in a different place. You spend most of your time doubling back on your self and walking up the same flaming isle 3 times!.Supermakets are getting bigger and if an app like this was possible it would save everyone time and ease shop congestion.
I have smart tools, most handy thing out of that is the compass basically.
So im asking, what are the best survival apps?
Im no conspiracy nut, but it doesn't take a genius to realize the earth is going through stuff it never has before.
Survival apps meaning:
Any guides (i already have the US army & Navy guides)
Any tools that utilizes the Epic's tech (i.e compass, solar wind activity)
If we do not already, someone needs to start coding some serious apps.
Also, if anyone knows of any good ad-hoc programs for when cell towers go down.
Having a nice shiny phone wont mean **** when the cell towers go down.
Take this seriously, please.
When the towers go down and all that madness starts happening, how do you plan on charging your shiny phone?
Edit: As snide a response as this is, I'm being serious. There's better ways to be prepared.
In all seriousness, anything a smartphone can do (assuming network infrastructure is kaput) is better done with a purpose built tool. If TSHTF, you really think a day or two of battery life is gonna cut it?
Better to get a standalone analog compass, a good set of maps, and a decent Yaesu HT ham radio. No reason to reinvent the wheel.
(Unless you want to play Angry Birds)

I just thanked you when i meant to quote lol, off to a great start. As for your "response", no ****.
**** hits the fan, you have a phone for 2-3 MAX, what apps are you gonna have that will help you?
You think i assume our Epics are gonna be solar charged or something?
So again, 2-3 days max...what apps are going to be the most helpful?
EDIT: If you're going to state the obvious (phone dying) then dont bother posting, im fully aware of
that as its the big pink elephant in the room.

It's okay. I'm thank-worthy. As much as I love technology and the cool things it can do... I wouldn't really bother. You're a lot better off learning basic things like first aid and having the head knowledge than being reliant on anything. Also, it's awfully optimistic to hope for more than 24 hours max if you ask me.

Lol, you're an interesting fellow -- interesting is the nicest word I can think of at the moment.
I have everything else covered, dry meals, water filters, i have enough first aid kits to aid a village. I have much more aid that i wont list as it comes from ex-military friends, trust me when I say I have everything else covered.
So again, when TSHTF, what are the most useful apps?
I cant even believe im trying to explain to you the importance of having survival apps on your phone, feel like im taking crazy pills or something.
EDIT: and no, you are not thank worthy -- not even close. Please abandon the thread if you continue to think small small-mindedly, on the other hand
if you want to contribute, please do.
They have solar chargers for laptops which will hold over 10 full cellphone charges and require something like 10 hours of sunlight to get those 10 full charges. With them, you could charge your cell phone as fast as you could with a normal power adapter from the wall.
I think they also have $50 range solar chargers which would hold about 3-4 cell phone charges, and get your cell phone charged fully in 3-4 hours from sunlight or from the built-in battery.
I'll take a stab at a serious reply for ya...
Other than a compass, obviously... A GPS program with pre-downloaded maps might come in handy, something like Gaia GPS, perhaps, where you can get maps with hiking trails listed. I figure if something happens to take out the satellites, you probably wouldn't be around to worry about much else!

So, let me get this straight. You shoot people to get directions?
Gotta love 'em rednecks.
Thanks Nabbed & Dalmus, will definitely look into both of those.
As for the others, the ignorance is amazing.
Ill list some of my own if anyone didnt already know about them:
BrightestFlashlight
U.S. Army Survival Guide
U.S. Navy Seal Training Guide (which i downloaded & loaded onto my phone w/ a pdf reader)
Boskoi (utilizes google maps (albeit if its still up) to show you ALL edible sources around you, nuts, fruits, berries, even fungi.
ICE: In Case of Emergence (shows you First & Local responders (police stations, hospitals) and also gives you information on allergies, specific medical conditions,
how to treat someone who is unconscious, ect.
Also remember, if you have some steel wool & enough tinder you can start a fire with your own battery.
Small-minded thinking gets you nowhere, open-minded with a dash of doubt is most important.
Not just outright "Oh you think you're phone will save you?"
No offense, but I'm not sure how this thread even belongs on the XDA forums...

The right approach would be to think, wow we really do need some handy apps.
I'd code everything myself and not ask a single question but I obviously dont have that knowledge so instead I have to take a gamble, post on here -- & get nothing but ignorant responses.
Except for the few that get what im saying

I'm not sure how my post was ignorant at all, I was kind of thinking the same about this entire thread. This belongs somewhere, yes, but not here. At least take it over to the themes and apps section... And no I don't think we need apps of this kind. If I was worried about something happening, I'd get actual tools designed (and much better) to solve these problems than my cell phone.
you could smash the gorilla glass and use it to skin squirrels and cut paracord.

It's called a map and compass for directions. Gun to hold onto my shiny cell phone that I will wear around my neck as a trophy because that's all it will be good for.
If your really looking for a serious note on this and I am still confused why you'd rely on a cell phone when things go down but I'd get all the guides, local maps, points in interest I.e. police stations, military bases, hospitals and load them into PDF files then save them on your phone so you can have all the info ready. No cell reception required.

You'd be much better served with a glock. If you want to shoot bandits in the case of a national emergency, a handgun trumps the rifle.
Also, you seem to be confused, friend. If you are going up against a totalitarian government, then a rifle is a good choice. A handgun is much better in the case of riots. Your confusion seems to stem from the misinterpretation of the Second Amendment. You see, you can fight against injustice with a rifle, but a handgun is much more useful in case of civil disobedience.
I have to repeat these obvious truths 3 times over because rednecks really don't think for themselves.

Lol your a tool box good sir. This thread went from worthless to just silly. Who is talking about fighting the government, riots or second amendment. Apparently your idea of $hit hitting the fan is way different then most. This went from joking around to you getting mad. Why so mad?
I'll make it even simpler, a pistol for CQB/CQD and a rifle for anything past that. Take your smugness somewhere else, it doesn't really add much here.

OPEN is a smarter way to protect taxpayers' rights while protecting the Internet."

Anyone who speaks legalese want to look this over and tell us if we need to fear this, or if this is a viable alternative to SOPA/PIPA??
Either way, we need to keep pressure on Congress to protect our 1st Amendment. Keep calling your State reps!!
Jesus Christ. Another one?
The music and movie industry has deeper pockets and more patience than we the people do. Eventually we will get tired of sending letters and signing petitions and these types of laws will get through. It's nice to know big business can buy...err, I mean help pass laws to deny us rights...err, I mean protect us from evil foreign enemies.
sopa means soup in spanish so ppl here make jokes like:

Not agin, this is going to be annoying when they come up with another SOPA similar thing.

We can start by boycotting the RIAA, MPAA, CBS, Disney, CNet, among others...this is just a tiny percentage of the companies backing SOPA/PIPA/OPEN.
I haven't had the chance to read over the OPEN Act; what about it makes it a better alternative to SOPA and PIPA?
Actually this piece of legislation was the one they were looking to get passed. There is a movement for something called 'Thick Whois'. The premise is that the owner of any new (and eventually old) website would be required to provide a form of ID to register a website. There is likely to goals behind this - one is to implement a national sales tax and the other is that they will now be able to more effectively target individuals.
If you combine the premise of 'Thick Whois' with OPEN, they could effectively choke the revenue stream of any one they target. This is a dangerous piece of legislation!
I WISH we could have SOPA sometimes just to get rid of all the stupid pics people post here (which are clearly violating copyright laws).
It should be noted that while SOPA and PIPA were steadfastly backed by the entertainment industry giants like the MPAA and RIAA, those groups vehemently oppose OPEN as not being strong enough. (See the Wikipedia article on the Online Protection and Enforcement of Digital Trade Act, which actually seems to spell OPEDT Act...)
I still don't think it's a good idea to try to police the Internet at all (since almost any moderately effective effort is going to involve censorship), but at least OPEN is less draconian than its predecessors.
OPEN leaves too many doors open to further limiting legislation

In attempting to read it, and my ability to translate legal bs is limited, what I have "learned" is that it doesn't appear as intensive as SOPA/PIPA, but it seems to still leave the doors open for legislation later...and those O.P.E.N doors are what scare me. I do know that it is still backed by some of the big players from SOPA/PIPA, but they are complaining that it isn't tough enough. I am guessing they will take anything they can get though.
I have a real issue with my Constitutional rights getting changed or limited or revoked, just so some rich, fat cat, s.o.b working in Hollywood can further line his/her pockets
Getting tired of all these attempts to pass this mess entertainment industry is just about as bad as the Oil companies now, a politician in every pocket
But really time could be better spent on fixing over things in the nation that are far more in need
My opinion is that the entertainment industry needs to come up with SOMETHING that makes it worth going to the movies. The way I see it now, the bands that play the shows are actually working for their money instead of sitting there. The movie theaters need to come up with something that the average consumer can't afford or is too large. That would cut down on piracy. Thery're just lazy......

xda doesn't host any illegal downloads.
This is just my point of view. Music artistes and movie producers, actors etc should not be that concerned about piracy. For example, I watch a pirated movie online. After the movie, I realized that the acting of some actor is really good. Chances are, I world appreciate that actor more and appreciate his products more. Then, the actor has now one more fan and the probability of me catching one of his movies in the cinema would be higher as I would want to support him. Just my two cents
We fight against ACTA right now in Poland. I've never seen politicians lie so blatantly (I know, I was being naive) about things that you can check in one minute. I think they got some huge "gifts" for forcing ACTA on us because they never before stood so firmly against such opposition. In my opinion piracy is a business problem - you need to make people want to buy your staff even if they can pirate it for free any time - not prosecute them.
I wanted to go to cinema for Prometheus, The Hobbit and new Batman but right now I think I'm going to boycott them, I don't want to finance acts like ACTA/SOPA etc.
I don't know much about these acts, but all they made me do is hate our ****ed up government even more! Gah

MORE BS!!
Cross-posting this from a thread I made over at WPCentral:
Seriously, this game is the biggest disaster and disappointment in WP7 history. A great (though not perfect) tower defense game is bugged, bugged again, and then swept under the rug. Why? I paid for this game, and now I can't even play single player modes, because there's no server.
What would it take to have the server restored? Why has no one dug through the mess of stupidity to try to get this game back?
Twin Blades left, but later came back. Is there any hope to be held for this game as well, or are we just left to forever have this black mark on our phones (and, in some cases, Gamercard as well)?
I only have one achievement remaining anyway, and it's not even one of the glitched ones. Who owns the servers and who can I pay to get them back up? Seriously, I got money to throw at this if it'll work.
Edit: I am also trying to do some digging myself, and I discovered the page of Charles 'Chicky' Surmonte, an individual who worked on Project: Sunburst. I dropped him an e-mail (a few months ago) requesting information on who I can contact for more details about Sunburst.
I still have the game on my phone, and check it every once in a while, just in case the servers came back up for whatever reason (maybe a new version, a la Twin Blades?).
Seriously, this missing achievement is bugging the crap out of me. It's killing my entire Gamerscore hunting buzz. The main reason I was drawn to Windows Phone was because of its Xbox Live functionality, and now I'm getting games that are broken and permanently unavailable.
Does anyone know anything that could help us get some answers?
I just want the servers back, even if it's only for a couple of days, so I can finish the last achievement (which, in my case, isn't a bugged one). Moreso, if I could dream, I wish we could get the entire game back. But none of this can happen until we find out who made it.
All I've figured out is that it's a "SEED Studios" which is allegedly a part of Microsoft Game Studios. Anyone up for some more digging?
By going through GiantBomb, I found this website: http://www.seed-studios.com/
Obviously, it's not 100% confirmed as being theirs, since the information on GiantBomb may be user-submitted. But it's (possibly) a start. I sent them an e-mail, asking if they were, in fact, THE Seed Studios of Project Sunburst fame.
Gamespot suggests that Seed Studios has a website here: www.seedstudio.com/ -- I sent them the same e-mail I sent the other Seed Studios. I swear I'll get to the bottom of this.
Lastly, I found an interview here:
https://channel9.msdn.com/posts/Crackdown-2-Project-Sunburst-on-WP7--Xbox-LIVE
It features a couple of guys who are part of the Microsoft Game Studio team, which according to the previously-linked page of Mr. Surmonte, has the Seed Studios as a part of it. From there, I found this:
http://platformbiased.com/
It's a website with a podcast hosted by a handful of MGS guys. Naturally, this led me here:
http://www.facebook.com/platformbiased
Where I will try to get a hold of someone who actually worked on Project Sunburst, or maybe find out where one of the creators can be contacted.
Does anyone else want to help dig around?
I mean, I don't need them to update the glitchy game, or even re-release it, I just need the servers back so I can keep playing the game I paid for (and get that last achievement). If there were any way for me to run the server code, believe me, I would. Failing that, I'd like this stain removed from my Gamercard. Anyone know of Microsoft ever removing a game from a Gamercard for any reason other than cheating?

Yea if you don't know anything about it, you are going to need to take classes at a college or read a lot of books. It's not something we can just give you a few tips and you will be making apps in a few minutes. There's a lot involved in programming and coding for someone who knows nothing about it.
Programming code is hard work and very time consuming and its not something you can really do from your phone, you need a proper computer with window's or more preferably Linux to write code and to do it proficiently your going to need atleast 2gb ram and a 2+ ghz dual core processor, but 4+gb ram and a 3+ ghz processor would be ideal even having multiple PC's networked into each other would be the best route as compiling code takes a lot of ram and processing power and will slow your computer to almost useless while it is compiling especially larger chunks of code that need to be debugged and compressed during the compile phase

It is insane that people think like this. Especially in general terms like, "Multiple PC's networked into each other".
Just about any modern pc bought in the last 4 or 5 years would be great for native or web application development. Sure more is always better. But you shouldn't discourage people by giving them ridiculous figures about ghz and ****. A decent refurb x64 laptop would work great.
You definitely do not need (even in an advanced development workflow) multiple computers networked to compile ****ty java applications. Sheesh. The biggest performance hit is going to be the android emulator (and iOS simulator if you're on a mac). If you have a cheap android, you may not really need them anyway. Even then, they will work on low memory systems. Just be prepared to hear your hard drive go to town.
Anyway, here is some real advice on getting into mobile application development...
[Let me start out by saying that your tool set becomes more important as your progress. Text editors, IDE's etc. That being said, you can get away with a lot at first, but in the end, you really need to be on linux or a mac. Now, if you've never used linux before, I don't think its a great idea to try and become familiar with a new operating system AND a new skill like programming at the same time. However, they really do go hand-in-hand. My daily routine would take me 2-3 times as long if I didn't run linux and occasionally osx. Anyway, you can do android development on windows. But if you are really committed to doing this, you will thank me later for recommending ubuntu and fedora.]
Second, if you are stuck on android, don't start with java. Therefor, don't start with android/mobile. Its always good to start off learning proper programming on a more simple scale. At least for the first few weeks if you are really committed. Python is bad ass. So is web development. Hell, if you really wanted to make mobile apps, start with mobile web apps in html5. If you learn JS and understand OOP principals, its not a huge step to start working on an html5 app. With modern frameworks, its actually quite simple. Sencha Touch, ExtJS, and Titanium are fantastic for crossing that bridge. Obviously you can't make killer 3D games that rival gameloft, but you can make some kick-ass stuff in there.
Finally, pick a simple starter project and make it. You know? Pick a simple tool that you care about or really need, and just make it yourself. Examples: A graphing tool that keeps track of something in your schedule. A little tool to log your billable hours. Etc. My first python app was a plugin for XBMC that let me burn my xbox360 games using my remote control on my tv. Simple simple simple.
I guarantee after you build something simple for youself like that, you will get hooked and be on your way.
If you can postpone being a mobile app millionaire for a little while, I really recommend (again) python. Its great for learning object oriented stuff, and with django, cherrypy, and other frameworks/tools, you would really start to understand that thinking that goes into being a programmer... MVC, etc.
This will help you no matter where you go. I hope the swearing filters don't strip this out.

One final AND THE MOST IMPORTANT note... When, not if but WHEN you get stuck, just go read more tutorials and documentation. Hell, read a book or a magazine. Just read ANYTHING. Reading is the most valuable tool a programmer has. Don't immediately run to forums and beg for help. That won't get you anywhere. Read read read then search search search. I cannot stress that enough. Can't find a solution to your problem? Try going back a few chapters and reading some more. That doesn't work? Search for similar problems. If that doesn't work either, try to redesign or rebuild your app in a way that just removes the source of the problem. If that fails, THEN you probably have a tough problem that people will actually want to help you fix. I promise.
College DOESN'T effing stress reading enough. That's why you see a bunch of idiot java developers coming from universities and don't know ****. I went to college for BS-ACS Chemistry. Now I do mobile application/web development. The only reason I found it so easy was because I was not scared of reading. Try it, you might like it
I'm not talking about building a simple app I'm talking about real development, real programming not making a simple 2d twitter knock off but building ROMs from source or apps compatible with multiple devices especially apps utilizing 3d graphics. It takes alot of RAM and processing power to compile that kind of data, sure ur average best buy laptop can build u a Facebook, notepad, twitter, forum Crawler app but if u build a ROM from source on it don't even think of using it for anything else during the compile. I have a box with dual quadcores clocked at 3.2ghz each and 16gb of ram and it can't keep up with all the code I run while I try to work as well hence why I have 6 PC's networked together for compiling code and 2 laptops for work
Not to mention he asked if he could do it from his phone maybe you should learn to read the OP before providing your lack of development knowledge when it comes to building anything at all from.scratch

Exactly, he asked about making apps. Not roms.
Even if he did, you dont need to suggest such massive scale hardware to a beginner.
Further, you personally aren't networking 6 nodes to compile ****. I'm 100% on that fact. Even if you were that misguided, that's kinda lame. You can build specs using multiple threads on an i3 laptop and it builds just fine. Hell, I've played angry birds while compiling a new fedora kernel. Why would you think to suggest such crazy stuff?
You don't need to lie and/or talk up your mad development skills and 6 node development tool chain to impress me, friend. I already had a good indication of your mad skills when you suggested all of this nonsense in the first place. You obviously know what you are talking about... Anyone that has capitalized every other letter in their username, and spells concept with a K is obviously a serious dev.
Send me a request on gh and we'll compare private repos. You are such a mad skills dev that I wouldn't have anything to worry about -- you wouldn't want to steal code from a guy like me that doesn't know what I'm doing.

You obviously don't know much about programming software from scratch using anything requiring 3d graphics why do you think cyanogen mod uses 12 core xeon 32gb ram servers to compile, I build stuff for 5 devices, epic touch, evo 4g, galaxy note, moto photon and the kindle fire and I also have to be able to do my job which requires CAD so you don't need to try and tell me what I use to write and compile code since you quite obviously have never seen my home office go troll somewhere else, and like I said the minimum he would need is a 64-bit quad core at 3+ghz and a minimum 4gb RAM to efficiently compile code and still use the computer and for it to not take 24+ hours for it to complete
I've been using this same user name across many chats and forums since 1997 u obviously have epeen issues dude
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
3 or 4gb of RAM and anything that says core on it would be fine for what the dude is asking for. Get real.
As far as cyanogen goes, I would imagine he does have a boss ass rig because of how many devices they distribute.
But since you don't do any of that, its unlikely you have anything of the sort, and more likely you say outlandish **** on forums to make people think you do more than you say. You clearly don't.
... Still waiting to compare repos. I didn't get a request from you yet. It could be that you capitalize every other letter in your username and are too cool so the system didn't send it. Or you simply forgot that when you make a retarded username you need to escape those characters. You are so eViL. Or is it EvIl? I'm not good at remembering homo-erotic usernames.
I'll never understand lying in forums to impress dudes you are never going to meet in real life. I guess your mad skills need emotional support. Sorry if I set you back a few issues of vanity fair.

First of all you don't know what I do or don't do, simply because I don't release my stuff publicly. You clearly have serious issues and I'm done with you, I have nothing to prove to you so there's no point in wasting my time, there are plenty of people on here who know what I can do and have done so your epinion means abosolutely not a damn thing to me, have a nice day and I hope you seek help for your issues you have I'm actually working so I don't have time to compare repos with people who have less posts than I have thanks, the only person here who needs to make themselves feel better about their life on the internet is yourself, I'm quite happy with my life, I have a great family a good job and a nice home to live in, I don't have to troll forums looking for ppl to compare my epeen too, you act like you're 12, "my repository is bigger than yours" seriously grow up little man

Dude just do you! This dude is obviously a troll and has nothing better to do then to clown on other people to make his sorry ass life seem decent. I know what you can do and there's plenty of people that know of your skills so don't bother with this Jackass anymore! Just let him talk to himself on here and whenever he gets his refill on his lortabs, he'll calm down a bit..hahahaha
Yeah you obviously aren't letting this bother you. Being incorrect in your reasoning will do that to you.
... STILL waiting on that github request. Almost all of my repos are private too. You can still hide your directory tree from me as a collaborator. I won't hold you to the same thing. This will give you a chance to go make a bunch of fake projects to live the lie just a little bit longer... haha.
Wish I had some lortabs actually. Good call.
Like I said I'm done with you I have no need to compare anything with you, I have no one I need to impress especially not you, you're a quite disturbed individual. Why don't you flex your grip on reality and get a life, instead of internet stalking me like the loser you are. now have fun trolling the web looking for someone to try and compare yourself to to make yourself feel better about your pathetic little life, now if you'll excuse me I need to get back to work I have money to make and kids to feed, have fun with your adolescent lifestyle and pumping up your epeen

Yeah because correcting a lying know it all and keeping him from giving bad advice to a beginner seeking real information somehow equates to stalking. Even though I haven't private messages you or talked to you in any other thread.
Especially since you are the one that got your civil union pal to help defend you.
Also you keep saying you are leaving and then YOU keep coming back. That's what happens when you lie. You have to keep pretending to keep the lie going.
I still haven't received a notification on github. The difference between you and me? I back up the **** I say. You revert to having your non-hetero friends come in here to back you up when someone calls you on your embellishment.
Let me know when you want to stop running scared. Oops. That statement alone could constitute Internet stalking to little girls that keep coming back for more... Live the lie.
Edit: hahaha I keep thinking about how stupid you sound talking about "networking" 6 computers together to compile roms that don't exist. My intern just said to me on gtalk, "I've been doing this for 6 months and even I know this guy is a nobody. Hes never messed with node arrangements because he called it 'networking'"... Hilarious.

Bro really...while I can see that you have some basic knowledge and prob decent programming skill...you coming in here being a little douche proves nothing. You personally attacking someone else for a user name really really are you that pathetic and have to sink that low cause you have nothing else better to do.
Yeah I personally know evil and know his set up and exactly what he can do. He has helped me with app development and my script work here as well. I've worked with him doing rom development. I also have compiled aosp from source and anyone who has knows its a long ass process and can take up to 24 hours to compile and will fail if your system specs are to low which a basic refurbished older computer could not handle. I know that ics took my 6 core forever and even then I ended up dumping it.
Here's a thought if you want to attack someone then try me. You won't hurt my feeling but you will make yourself look like a bigger ass.
I could care less what you know and what you've done. You don't show up on this forum being a douche and not get called out for it.
Oh and before you ask I have no desire to compare my gh to yours so don't bother asking.

Why would I want to do any of that to you? You didn't give out elitist/false information to a guy who is just at the beginning of, maybe, learning to code. Nor did you claim some incorrect minimum system specs that google doesn't even back up (http://developer.android.com/sdk/requirements.html).
You can easily tell the people who know enough to be dangerous, and know enough to try and mislead others. And I'm sorry, but people who do the EvErY oThEr CaP lEtTeR in a misspelled username obviously picked up their technical knowledge from this movie:

Lol I actually really like that movie. And as far as user names go I could care less. I mean look at name. Its a cartoon character for the 80's. I don't see u talking **** bout that. Also android sdk isn't what takes forever to use or compile. Its actually pulling the aosp code from google which for ics is huge and then compiling it and debugging it and pulling the correct drivers for your device. Believe me it takes forever. Most guys when ics first hit had a really hard time with their beasts of a system. Some said u needed more that 8 cores and 16 gb of ram to even start and even then it was slow. I happen to agree with that after trying myself.
Now when it comes to mobile app development that can be done on a laptop. I'm used a dual core 4 gb 3 yr old gateway laptop for my stuff and eclipse and other programs work OK but for serious work u need heavy duty hardware. Also there is a difference between a node and networking. You can hook up a chain of computers within the same room to use as a build bot and that's exactly what cynagen does with his stuff except they arnt using little beast computers they r using massive server towers.
Anyways all I'm saying is that with the small amount of time you've posted on this forum its not a good idea to start issues and fight with a senior member. Not only does it not get you anywhere but it gives u a bad name and makes other member see u as a negative influence around here
