Hey guys, the screen on my Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML) has blacked out. It turns on to the point where when I turn it on, the logo appears, then it's just a blank screen. I tried holding down the power button and the volume up button to reload the bootloader, go to recovery mode, but then it says "System Update" and right after that, it says "Error!" Help anyone?
Stock? Rooted? Flashed?

No, I really haven't done anything to it. Just out-of-box software. ZenUI and lollipop.

Hello,
My GNex is having charging issues and I'll probably will have to send it back, so I wante to unroot it and lock it again! I did that with the GNex Toolkit v5.4; I flashed the Stock Google Image 4.0.2 ICL53F without problems and then I choose the option to flash the stock Recovery and that worked without problems too, after that of course I locked the bootloader again.
But the problem is, when I want to enter Stock Recovery there's just an android layed down with a red warning triangle?! Is this a problem or is this normal? Will this eventually void my warranty?!

Are you sure? Because I can't, theres really only the android with the red warning triangle and nothing more... pressing buttons doesn't work at all (tried several combinations) and the only way to get out of that screen is to pull the battery?!

on previous phones it was touch enabled and you press the lower right (may be left not sure) to access menus.

Press all of volume up, down and power at the same time. That gets you into the menu.

In my (limited) experience, if all you see is the Android with the red triangle, then yes you have to pull the battery. I also found that if you are trying to get into the recovery menu from a cold boot, you must have the USB disconnected when you start up after you put the battery back.
That may just be my phone. But it went like this:
1) Ugh, red triangle and unresponsive to button clicks.
2) Pull battery.
3) replace battery.
4) Unplug USB cable.
5) Hold down upVolume, downVolume and Power.
6) When it vibrates, let go and wait for recovery mode.
You'll see a red banner at the top of the screen with the current option. Press up & down on the volume to change it.

Okay, so I have a rooted, stock 4.4.2 G pad. I was never able to successfully get a recovery and I have no backups. The issue started when I used G2 xposed and I changed the multi tasking tiles. Now the navigation and status bars are no longer visible and I can't do anything in the tablet because the error message pops up and it won't let me navigate. The error comes back every time I turn the tablet on. Someone please help. ?
A factory reset should sort that out.

I sorrowfully don't have USB debugging enabled and I can't do so, and I can't go through the factory reset screen on the tablet because it thinks I have a custom recovery.

Have you tried the default way of factory resetting? from powered off do the following : hold power and volume down, when logo appears release power, now also hold volume up and hold power again so you have all buttons pressed. You should be given the option to reset.
Good luck.

I've tried that. When i do that, under where it says confirmed in the upper left hand, it says "Secure booting error!" I'm pretty sure it has to do with the failed custom recovery. Thanks for trying to help. (But don't think I wouldn't welcome more help )

You will need to touch quickly. Atfer the force close message close, you have .5 second to touch the screen before it shows up again.
Happened to mine. In my case, factory reset did not help. Flash stock kdz will solve the problem.
Phone gives error reports when booted Help my HTC One m8 went ballistic after I tried to install lollipop. For reference I have a sprint (unconnected) Htc One m8 Harmon Karman edition with Ł launcher as a launcher. I went to settings and found an update. The update download and then installed. When the phone went to boot it booted then instead of taking me to the home screen, it took me to a white page with a loop of error reports of apps not working. I can't get into the phone at all. I tried to boot in recovery but that did nothing. Please help I'm desperate. The pictures show examples of the errors I get them for different apps and hitting buttons to send reportso does nothing but give another report. Please help fix this.

What does that mean exactly? Can you get into bootloader? Do you get a red triangle when you select recovery from bootloader?
Hold power and vol up for several seconds to force a reboot. The moment the screen goes dark to reboot, let go of those buttons and just hold vol down until the bootloader screen appears.
fixed

If you can't get into bootloader (but can force a reboot), its because you didn't do the button combo correctly. Either you started pressing vol down too late, or let go of it too early.
Bootloader will always work as long as the screen comes on.
I was about to sell my rooted Note 4, and I did a "reset phone" in the settings menu to wipe the data out , so I can sell it. When the phone turned back I saw on the top left a blue "recovery mode" message and the next is my phone black, and on the middle of the screen appear every 5 sec a green android logo with "Installing System update" What a hell happened?I am stuck.. I tried to take the battery out and hold the volume up+home+power on bottoms to get a recovery mode menu, but it does the same flashing screen thing.. Please help me I have a buyer for this phone
so nobody can help?

Hi All. I am trying to fix a phone that is stuck on the LG boot screen. I have tried to put the phone into recovery via the volume- and power buttons. I get to the screen that says delete all user data and I press yes and get to the second screen to reconfirm the delete. I press yes and nothing happens. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can try next? I want to reset this phone for my friends son. I suspect he might have over heated it playng games. Thanks in advance.
