I tried to root my ATT Galaxy S3 today using the instructions at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746665
However, after flashing via Odin, the device rebooted but would only go to the Galaxy S3 screen. Furthermore, I could get into download mode, but not recovery mode. When trying to reflash, Odin would just hang at "<ID:0/005> NAND Write Start!! ".
Doing some research, I came across this thread:
https://plus.google.com/115708174332375617872/posts/9x2Zy8BRfV3
which had the exact same issue, and a fix. Basically need to re-Flash with a PIT file and a 3 part firmware. However, it looks like the firmware included in that thread is for a European phone, and not ATT.
Does anyone, know where I can get a 3 part firmware for a Galaxy S3 ATT phone?
Any help would be appreciated.

[Q] Hard Bricked ATT SG3 with <ID:0/011> Can't open the specified file. (Line: 1949)
I've been trying to get my hard bricked ATT SG3 back up and running. The brick occurred when I was recovering the 4.1.2 root and after answering a phone call. I have gotten some interesting information from the Sprint SG3 site, used an sdcard to boot the phone to a BOOT RECOVERY MODE. The failure occurs when trying to download back to stock or any firmware. I can get into odin but it says the the PIT file is missing. I used a pit file retreived for ATT SG3 phones as well as the stock rom. When attempting to recovery to stock, odin gives the following error - <ID:0/011> Can't open the specified file. (Line: 1949). Has anyone seen this or know how to move forward without the flash failing. I have also posted this on the Sprint site where I found the solution to Hard Bricked phones with using JTAG. Thanks

Hi everybody !
I have a S4 mini 16gb (GT I9195) locked Verizon. I bought it in hong kong and the problem is that there was already a Custom Rom on it.
I tried to install many ROMs (french and german version) with ODIN to have the menu in french (I'm from Paris). I didn't tried operator one's, only constructor one's and it has always failed.
I tried many ROMs, cables, many version of ODIN and many USB plug but nothing changed it's still stucked on NAND Write fail on the ODIN report.
I think my only option is to flash the PIT and to install a new rom. Many question about it :
Am I right about flashing the PIT ?
Do the PIT have to match with a special ROM when using it with ODIN) or any ROM for S4 mini while match wit a good PIT file?
The biggest problem is that I only found one PIT file corresponding to this phone and it failed. Nothing happened. Is any of you has a PIT file ok ?
Thanks for your help and sorry if my english is not perfect.
What firmware version you have?
I think i9195 is international not carrier specific, then you could flash any firmware as long as you're not downgrading bootloader (Odin will fail downgrading)
Can you post your download screen.
Help!!! please!!!

Sorry for the late answer, I've been really busy at Work.
I have the 4.2.2.
I tried with many versions of firmware (even the latest downloaded on sammobile but always failed.
I don't know what download screen you want (sorry i'm a total noob).
When I try to flash the PIT Odin fail with this message : "Set PIT file" and the "Fail!". On the Phone i have this message on the download mode screen "Secure check Fail : PIT".
I don't know if it helps.
Hi
i updated my t211 to kit kat by an official firmware of samsung. after that i encountered a problem. when i want to call this message appears:
not registered on the network
i tried to downgrade but the imei and serial became null
i tested some modem.tar file that i have found on one of gsm sites
i flashed a multi(4) file firmware on the device with the pit file
i tried another version of firmware by my locale!
but the problem still exists. it is more than a week i am trying to find a solution! but nothing ....
can anyone help me with that?
I've searched too much and i found that in SGS3 or SGS4 or some other devices there is some patched modem and kernels that solves this kind of problem, but i couldn't find anything about T211.
I don't know anything more!
can anybody provide me a nandroid back up or efs backup?
