I own a T2 Ultra D5303 (the last KK update), not rooted, bootloader locked.
As music player, I use Walkman (last update from Google Play)
I save the music to an class 10 SD card (mp3 files, transferred with Sony Media Go).
I'm listening with wired headset.
Checked and OK: music files, SD card, headset
Issue: sometimes the music playback stops for few seconds and starts by itself. There is no interruption by notification or something like that.
Q: where is the problem?
Walkman ver.?
download & install latest & stable ver., maybe fix your problem.

Hi,
I have read through multiple forums, but couldn't find an answer, here is the situation :
- I have ripped my CDs to OGG songs, correctly tagged, playing fine on several PCs (Windows & GNU/Linux), using different software, and my iRiver music player (stock & RockBox firmwares),
- I copied those OGG files on my ext. SD Card (N7105),
- I open Apollo music player (CyanogenMod 10.1),
- it detected the ogg files and they are correctly sorted by artist, album, etc. (it even downloaded the right album pictures)
- I press "play",
- it plays the first song (whichever it is),
- at the end, it displays the name of the 2nd song but doesn't play it
- the player is still in "play" mode, but doesn't play the song, it is stucked,
-> if I press "pause", it pauses and jumps to the next song (the 3rd),
-> if I press "Next", it begins to play the 3rd song,
- after one of the above 2 actions, I press "previous" : it displays the 2nd song and plays it fine !
At the end of that 2nd song, it will jump to the 3d, but does not play it, it seems stucked again, so pressing "next" plays the 4th, then I press "previous" to play the 3rd, etc.
If I press "next" just before the end of each song, it jumps to the next song without ever stoping playing.
I installed Google Music Player, it does exactly the same, but displays an error message when it tries to play the next song "Impossible to play song". But it plays it if I press the "next" then "previous" buttons.
It seems this problem does not appear on non-OGG files (ie MP3), and I have checked that "shuffle" is NOT enabled.
Sometimes it plays 2 songs fine before hanging.
The stock ROM of my Nexus S phone had this problem also, and the stock ROM of my N7105 also, but I used Samsung's music player which didn't have that problem.
So, to solve the problem :
=> do you know of any good music player that :
- will play OGG/MP3/FLAC/etc flawlessly,
- displays a widget on the lock screen and home screen,
- sends infos about the song over bluetooth (my BT sound system displays the song's name if available),
- scans the music collection and sorts songs by artists, albums, etc.
- can play all songs in a folder (untagged/mistagged songs grouped by folders),
- preserves the battery,
- is preferably Open Source and/or GPL and stable,
- has no ads, nor unnecessary authorizations for a simple music player that does all of the above
?
=> Or are there any tricks or hacks or anything to make Apollo play sound files ?
Bye for now,
Dag
Hi, new Xperia Z1 Compact user here, I am using PlayerPro however when I eject my headphones the music does not pause, it seems to work fine with other players such as the WalkMan app and MXPlayer.
I am currently using the latest version of PlayerPro and there doesn't seem to be any settings regarding the pausing of music when headphones are ejected, I have the same version of PlayerPro on my Sony Xperia T and it pauses the music when headphones are ejected.
I have tried to use the Smart Connect app, this seems to work but I have to set it to open PlayerPro when headphones are inserted which isn't what I want it to open when I connect headphones. The smart connect app also runs another instance of the app so if I have PlayerPro running already then insert headphones the smart connect will run another PlayerPro which will have 2 songs playing at the same time.
Anyone have any idea how to get it to pause when ejecting headphones?!!!
How does music playback work on the Smartwatch 3? What software does it use to play back music, and does it support FLAC files? Also, how many hours of playback can you get?

It's very convenient to use Play Music on the SW3 when paired with your smartphone. Walkman works well (with my Xperia Z3) although I can't begin to play music from it (as yet I know how to) with Walkman because it thinks I'm trying to access music from the watch itself, which is unfortunately not the case, Play Music has the option to "Play from phone" or ("Play from Watch" -> which would require headphones paired to the watch itself.) As for Flac files, I have no idea, but my phone recognizes and plays Flac, and Walkman can change the song from the watch.
Thanks for the info. I've been thinking about getting one so I can forego my smartphone while jogging or cycling. I guess the lack of FLAC isn't a deal breaker, particularly when you consider the watch only has around 4GB of storage.
it does play flac files, even hi-res ones
Like the title says, after I updated to MM, the music on my SD card doesn't show up in Google Play Music, I know my SD card is OK as it shows up in the default LG music player. I don't want to use the LG music player as it doesn't work with Last.fm scrobbling.
Searching has turned up nothing either!
Syncing songs from Z5 compact to SW3 using Sony music app via Bluetooth has never really worked reliably. Songs on watch end up either being complete or 3 minutes or 10 seconds long. 1,5 years now with this issue. Suggestions?
Google music updates changes too slow and also never deletes songs I delete from device, so I rather not use it unless no other choice.
Wear media app I believe doesn't support playlists.
I use music bee for syncing music on my computer to the z5
Thanks!

I have the exact same issue about the first few songs are like this and I cannot find a work around it. Maybe deleting and syncing again might work. If you have the beta music app like I do then maybe somethings up with that. Im using an Xperia Z2 Marshmallow existenz rom locked bl and my sw3 also has a custom rom and four core custom kernel. It is a wierd issue, I have around 40 songs not all are like this though.
