Guys I'm currently on TWRP and Candy5 ROM. I set the pattern lock. And now it doesn't seem to unlock. I don't know what's happening with the device. I can't access it.
To the point I think the only way left is by going in to recovery and doing something. So I tried the button combination 'Power+Vol. Down' and then holding all buttons. I got a black screen of asking to Factory Reset with 'Power' button.
If I press the 'Power' button, will it take me to TWRP? In TWRP what should I do there to clear the pattern? Please Help guys.

Hey All. I just got this problem today, my phone keeps shutting off randomly and then it will get stuck at booting up and will constantly make the sound it makes while booting up. I just tried reflashing to stock via odin following thisTutorial and i got it to restore to stock but it got stuck at the samsung logo after the T-mobile logo. After that it keeps doing the same to me as before restoring to stock. I can't get into recovery on it or download mode.
Could be stuck or bad power button try cleaning in and around the button.

I Dont think thats the problem because I am able to power on the phone.
When you restored from Odin did you do a factory reset? If you didn't it will stay on the Samsung logo.

Did you turn off the phone and hold volume up + volume down + power until the phone vibrates and then let go of power button?

Today I finally rooted my Tablet 7 with some help from gr8nole here on XDA. Needless to say I was very happy and started downloading any and all apps that required root I was interested in. Unfortunately about an hour into my adventure I downloaded an app called LCD Density. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. It soft bricked my device after changing the density from 240 to 160. I am now just trying to get back to square one again and have no idea what to do. I wiped the cache partition and re flashed root. Reboot same thing again. The Samsung screen is vertical not horizontal and doing the infamous glow from blue to white and back to blue and nothing more continuously. I am in CWM now and not really sure what step to take next as I don't want to risk a hard brick. I went to Rom Manager in CWM and no files were there when I went to use the backup feature What should I do?

Thank you..Quick question. How do you get into Recovery with TWRP? I flashed it with Odin with the auto restart and with out. I used the CWM Recovery vol up power and home keys but it does not do anything. I am rooted already as well. Could that be the issue? Im using the TAR file too. I really would like to use the touch screen option instead of pushing buttons like a dinosaur

When you flash twrp or cwm in odin, you must uncheck autoreboot. Btw hold down power vol up and home button, when samsung logo appears, release the power button while still pessing down vol up and home

Why didnt you just change the density back? Open build.prop, or push a stock version of it via adb or (idk if it is possible) via fastboot.
Then yoir problem should be solved. Those tweaks have got nothing to do with cache, or data, or so
Thats also why you need root and also the reason, why it is not so easy, to root some devices
But try brain.exe and everything should work, as it should

Are you following the guide and performing the second flush/flash after the first one says it failed?
The process requires a second flash right after the first one, to complete the process.
Just making sure you are doing it as laid out in the guide.
Can't think of any other reason that would happen really.

I wouldn't worry too much about it though...

I been using the current ACiP Official Nightlys. Before I ran aosb unnofficial nightly. But I didn't notice anything till after I first tried flashing your 6.0Sense Rom . Flyhalf205 twrp 2.7.0.1 wouldn't let me flash. So I am using your twrp now and playing between current acip and your Sense ROM. Oh and Liquidsmooth I flashed. All these in about the last month.
I just ran firewater on a new phone and this happened to me.
Edit: just flashed a custom splash screen and now it's back to normal.

OP, I understand you're trying to be helpful but I think everyone knows at this point you usually boot into TWRP without a PC. Also, the method to getting into recovery using the method you described is all over this site and the internet.
Because of these reasons, I'm going to have to close this thread.
