This is an ongoing issue with this app. I would say it's not working with Samsung devices because I didn't have this issue with my Nexus 5.

There already is a TRWP for the S6 Edge. I Odin installed it yesterday.

This was the first Odin Flashable TWRP that worked for me. Seems the ones floating around all basically have the same name but this one worked. Thanks for originally posting that stock recovery and now for this one. Nice to FINALLY have a rooted S6 that has TWRP along with a backup file

Thanks i will try it:good:
if you have the lux app installed, you wont get supersu to work on cleanmaster; also, some have said that having autobrightness on will keep you from being able to grant SU access on a lot of apps..
Also, be careful using the version of TWRP that is posted in here, as it is NOT the "official" version of TWRP put out by the TWRP team....
Thanks for the info I had to flash the recovery, I was trying to get stock recovery but for some odd reason it would work

Welcome to android. Definitely got a good device for first android experience. Well now since you are rooted you will have to flash a custom recovery. You can download the goo.im app from the play store to get cwm recovery. That way you can flash anything to any partition within the phone. Now is that kernel for the t mobile s3? If its not, then I don't recommend flashing. Just flash what you find here. Ktoonsez makes great kernels. There are also stock over clocked ones and others as well. Once you have cwm OK installed then go ahead and download the kernel using your phone's browser. Then to boot into custom recovery, power off the device and when powering it back on press and hold the power and the volume down button. When the device vibrates once, you can then let go and and from there cwm should work and then flash file from .zip and look for your downloaded kernel and flash it

Do not flash anything to your phone that didn't come from this forum (TMo S3). In other words, don't flash that kernel you were talking about. There are certain exceptions, but just follow this rule: do not flash anything to your phone that didn't come from this forum (TMo S3).
you used http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695238 this to root your phone? - that thread is for international S3 version
and your phone is TMO right?hmmm...just like what Aerowinder said Do not flash anything to your phone that didn't come from this forum (TMo S3).

1st. You cant use anymore Ktoonsez kernel or other kernels and ROMs in this thread you will end up in the customers service station cuz you said its a GT-I9300 (international variant of S3).
2. Your S3 is not a FAKE we have 2 different worlds

The link I gave you is the correct one. This forum is for the US variant on the T-Mobile network only (SGH-T999). You can always go over there and ask them if you are in the correct place.
ok i will
I know there are other threads about international rom on tmobile s4 but none says anything about stock roms.
I flashed stock I9505 Rom on my tmobile galaxy s4 through CWM and worked flawlessly. It is much better than tmobile, bug free, has APP to SD, and is latest Samsung firmware.Everything works including 4G LTE without adding APN. Alos, you can get free hotspot without hacking.
Grab the rom you want from the below link and flash it through TWRP or CWM. Dont need to flash the file through ODIN for wifi fix ( its for international).
When you flash remove KNOX files via Root Explorer or Titanium Backup.

Yeah I flashed the Philz recovery myself and it was pretty easy. My first time using it and I definitely think it's the way to go so far.
I'm having this problem too, I don't consider myself a noob, but my wife is sick she's pregnant and I have 3 daughters under 6. I have searched the forums until my eyes full with blood. I have a virgin mobile galaxy s3 rooted using clockwork mod custom recovery. Twice now they have offered to 4.4 update, frankly, I want to take it and unroot, I want the new update and I will root it again myself later. But both times it fails. Aborted. I have gathered in the threads its something to do with my custom recovery when I need it spelled out more than that. I've been working 19 hours a day and I'm a bit delirious. What can I do to make the update go through I don't care losing root. And my friends I'm sorry but I have looked everywhere for the answer and I am just exhausted with 2 jobs in a baby on the way. I apologize in advance can someone spell out for me what I should do I do not have a p_c or a computer can I do this from the phone? Is there a custom recovery or method I can do so the update will take? It gets more confusing more I read.. This time in from the little bit of research I have found I do not know if the update is still on my phone or not? I can't find it? They have offered it to me twice and when I check for the update in the update menu it is gone. I hope Samsung and virgin does not stop offering it because as crazy as it sounds I want a 4.4 stock unrooted.rooted I hope the ota is still on here. Can someone help me? You guys are awesome for years I've been looking at these threads and I rarely have to post because it's all spelled out. But this time I need a little help from my friends. Virgin Mobile galaxy s3 4.3 knoxed up clockworkmod custom recovery.

haha yes it looks like I did. Thought I deleted when I'm home but I guess I did not. 1 of the cool people over at phandroid sent me a message and helped me out. I think some of the folks in these communities are so nice and awesome! Much better than it used to be. You don't run into too many lifeless little loser twits as often as we use to. People, while in their mom and dads basement, complain and agonize over things like misspelling, semantics, double postings, ect. I wish I could un poste now here in XDA, as I've got it figured out, for the most part lol. I don't have a lot of time to play with my secondary phone because like I said I've got 3 little girls and a demanding job. MK5... 4.3 for the gs3 will go down in history as an odd, and strange little experience lol but thanks to everyone else out there who have posted and commented and help me endless time under my other IDs, and especially to all the folks who were so descriptive I never had to ask a single question at all!

You would see it on the International S3 first and as always AT&T would be last. I remember having to manually update to 4.3 because the tar was out months before the OTA.
I highly doubt (still possible though) that an official lollipop would ever come to the s3. The s2 never went beyond 4.1.2 and it is only a year older than our phone.

Android 5 (Lollypop) uses the same amount of RAM as Android 4 (Kitkat).
It's really time everyone updates to cm-12 because it is stable and has the latest security patches, unlike the officially slow options.

If you're rooted flash TWRP 2.8.7.0 IMG with flashify app or Odin the 2.8.7.0 tar. Then flash one of enewman17's 4.4.2 stock rooted ROMs that corresponds with your baseband. You'll loose all data in the process so back it up first. Otherwise download one of his 4.4.2 ROMs & pull what apks you deleted & use a root file manager to push them back to system.

Yes, Samsung do not provide updates anymore for the s4 mini.
You should be able to install CM13, like the rest of us.
Which method did you use to root? Which procedure are you following & what is actually failing? Do you have custom recovery installed?
I just followed Arco's recovery root thread & used the s4mini rootkit v2. Later installed TWRP and CM13.

It sounds like you may have followed the "old" method, there are several (often stolen from Arco with no credit given to him) still on the net & even one on xda that uses older version of Odin that does not work. You need Odin 3.09 and to follow the original thread
edit; oops wrong thread for your phone, hang on
edit: this looks like it, gotta rush have footy match now!

is this the exact one you followed?

strange. I'd double check all the files are correct and that Odin is ver 3.09, then retry from the start.
