Soft bricked after CM12 nightly install - Xperia Z1 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there,
After successfully rooting and unlocking bootloader of my Z1C I installed TWRP/philz double recovery. From there I transfered latest CM12 nightly, slim zero gapps and double recovery zip.
Recovery at first worked just fine, could factory wipe my phone and installation seemed OK. But after first boot of CM12, Google Play services kept crashing down, could not even pass first screen.
Ufter booting CM recovery I wiped factory again with cache (no dalvik option) and reinstalled CM12 but WITHOUT gapps this time. Same result, google play services kept crashing.
Now I rebooted to bootloader and only have a black screen with blue light on top.
How can I bring my phone back from the land of the dead ? Any help is appreciated

[Q] VZ HTC One stuck in Cyanogenmod boot loop

I was able to get my VS HTC One S-Off with Firewater, thankfully.
As I was trying to load Cyanogenmod, the Wipe Cache process seemed to take way too long >30minutes. I powered down and rebooted, and then loaded the cyanogenmod stable RC zip. The phone is now permanently stuck in the cyanogenmod boot loop, with the blue arrow going in a circle.
I can't even get it to power down successfully...but sometimes it will turn off and then go back into the same loop. I have gotten it to fastboot once, but I tried to wipe all the caches/partitions again, and reboot...and same loop.
Any help please?
=============
More info:
I was able to get into CWM v6.0.4.7 recovery. I'm was able to sideload the STABLE CM 10.2 for verizon htc one...and it seems to have installed. But I'm still going into a boot loop. The loop is different for the stable version than it was for the release candidate...just a different CM logo and circle. So that's how I know the CM 10.2 stable loaded effectively. It rebooted on it's own one time after 10 mintues of looping, but still stuck.

It's the recovery, I'm 99% sure of it. I had the same issues that you described and resolved it by flashing CWM 6.0.4.4.
You should be able to find it somewhere on the forum but if not I have a copy on my FTP here: http://www.radracer.us/otp/droid/recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.4-m7vzw_2.zip
Once you flash the new recovery do a data/cache wipe as you usually would and then try loading CM once more. The data/cache wipe should be almost instant.(<60seconds)

After trying a few other roms unsuccessfully, I read somewhere about a CM11 Nightly that was very stable. I wiped everything 3 times, sideloaded it, and voila...it's working fine right now.
Thanks for all the help...I'm finally on Cyanogenmod...which has been evading my phone of choice for so many years!

Help! Stuck on loading after flashing mahdi 2.5 20140326

I got LG GPad v500 earlier today, rooted and installed CWM. Then I flashed the latest Mahdi and GAPPS, cleared cache and dalvik cache, and on reboot it stuck on google logo animation (four colored circles moving). When I press and hold Power it just reboots. When it reboots it shows this error for a few sec:
------------------------------
Secure booting Error
Cause: Device ulnock. Success!
------------------------------
and proceeds to the google logo. I can't even get it to recovery mode because it doesnt shut down (catch 22!).
Any help please!
Ok, after 20 attempts I managed to boot into recovery. I reflashed both rom and gapps, reset to factory defaults, and it boots now!
Keeping it here in case someone else gets into the same situation

LG G3 Will Not Reboot

Today I tried updating my Verizon LG G3 to a new nightly CyanogenMod 12.1. I cleared the cache, delvak cache, and then installed the new nightly over an older nightly. Then, my screen went black (after a successful install). Now, every time I boot my phone up i get to the LG logo screen, and then the screen goes black. I have to remove and reinsert the battery in order to turn the phone on again. My phone will not stay on long enough to enter twrp or settings.
Is a factory reset/wipe on my pc the only option?
Thanks
Hi, you can't enter twrp recovery by buttons power + Vol- ?
If you can, flash again the rom without wipe cache and dalvik
I can not even boot into TWRP

can't recover thru adb ?
Well no recovery mode and not normal boot.
We can't use adb commands.
If you can go to download mode , apply a kdz firmware .

Bootloop, starting apps is making me mad

My Samsung nexus got a problem. I have TWRP installed as recovery and I tried to install new Cyanogen ROM. I did it clean but it get stuck in "Starting App" for long likely for 2 hrs then I restarted the system just to stuck in boot loop. I did fresh install wiping data and cache as well dalvik cache but the same problem. Before the phone was working fine except the camera. Camera has stopped working issue. Is this the problem for this?
Moreover, I tried to connect to ODIN but my phone is not read by Odin. What is the solution?
The worst thing is I don't have any backup.

Cant boot D855 after trying to make a dual-boot with MIUI

Today i started messing around with Recovery and ROMS.
I saw ( There ) , that you can dual boot stock with another Rom so i wanted to try it.
I downloaded MIUI and OpenGapps , Make a boot+system android backup in TWRM , and flashed patched MIUI zip to extsd card slot 1 , then I flashed GApps.
After rebooting i saw MIUI boot screen but then a black screen with Navigation buttons and status bar , after a minute i got lots a GApps force close's.
I thought it flashed wrong so I rebooted back to recovery and flashed it again , same result.
After trying to install without GApps i got stuck in recovery , so I restored my backup I made earlier and cleared Dalvik + Cache to boot to my stock.
It restored perfectly , after booting i saw the "Optimizing apps" dialog but after 10th app i began to receive fc's for NFC , LG Service's and LGATCMD.
I restored the backup again , same result.
Then used the "Repair File System" option on /system and Repaired permissions.
Now after the boot animation it shows me an black screen with green/blue Led , LDB FC , then LG System Server , NFC and LG P2P. after clicking ok the boot animation shows up again and it loops forever.
Anyway to fix this without factory reset? or Am I soft bricked?
