Hi folks heres a stock mms apk with some blue in it. Dont change the bubble in settings if you wanna keep this look. Hope you guys enjoy.
To install just copy to system/app with root explorer then reboot.
If any one would like a different color or something else added just ask!
This is great. Can you switch the colors around on the icon? Make blue the main color and gray the colors of the eyes and mouth?

here you go buddy. I changed the icons to the one you asked for. I changed the status bar notify and the no text icon in the app itself. hope ya like.

oh im thinking to change the email icons in blue like the mms to make it uniform on my dock, i don't have the icons yet im still looking somewhere.

This looks awesome but could I request somewhat different colors for the reply messages, if it isn't too much to ask for. The blue looks nice but Both the reply and sent colors look very similar from the picture. I'm a visual person and it's easy to differentiate with different colors or shades.
But this is awesome I haven't switched to a different sms/mms app because I like the stock ones features like direct dial. I am also looking forward to an email like this. And having them match in the dock would be awesome.

For some reason the picture was not coming clearly. I can see they are in deed different shades so you can disregard that above.
But I would love to see other colors. How about a white and blue theme maybe.

Hey Mongo, sorry to bug you again. But do you think you could make the blue a little more ICS blueish? More like the one in this screenshot. The color doesn't quite match the phone icon, or the Google voice icon. Thanks dude!

Give me five different colors you guys want and ill change all the bubbles in the app so you can pick and choose which ones you like. Im thinking about doing a chromed outlined one also like I did back in the sgs2 forum a while back.

Is there anyway to have messaging use the dark holo theme? So it has a black background and either white or cyan or both text?
Isn't there a thread in the apps and themes section with inverted apps.....Maybe it holds already one there ?

this has never worked for me! only changes pop up sms menu to black...
I've been using a holo dark theme engine theme for a long time now. All it changes theme wise is the messaging app
check out my new keyboard mod for android 4.4.2
made keys transparent with lollipop over stretch type bg
it will be part of a theme im working on.
anyway just wanted to go ahead and release the keyboard enjoy.
hope you like it as much as i do.

uploaded Sprint_Dark_Iternational_Contacts _Dialer_Mms flashable zip
there is a small bug in some of the bubbles getting stretched will fix later.
the mms is a custom mod to match
I will organize this thread later.

Hopefully this is the right place for this thread....
I feel like I am looking for something so basic and I can't believe I cant find what I am looking for. I really just want a simple black and white theme for my Note 5.
In a perfect situation I would really just like the stock icons but all of the Headers and menus and sliders have a black and white theme to them. In a realistic world I would be fine if the icon pack was changed, but I just cant find anything this simple. All of them in the theme store try to do way too much, and many of the custom ones in the XDA Theme threads are really amazing, just way more than I am looking for. Have you seen any that seem to fit what I am looking for?

How about "White Tiger", "[MINU] White Dark" , "[MINU] White" from theme store. They are simple and free.

Thanks for the response. White Tiger is a good example of trying to do too much, imo. Minu white dark has an error where notifications appear as white on white text, and they haven't fixed it yet....I hadn't seen minu white, so I'll give that one a run. Thanks!
Minu white is really close....the problem is that all of the shortcut text is black, so you need to have a light or white background....I like everything else on this theme well enough, but wish I could use a dark background...

Another one that is close, it has a greenish accent color instead of white. Otherwise it would be perfect, but as it is it is just close for me...
If you are still interested, I found one called "Fantasy_Dark_V2" that is ok. It changes the default icons, but they arent too annoying. Also, it is like $2 so there is that as well....still staying hopeful that I will find one!!

I just downloaded a few of those Eid themes to try out. The black and red one looks pretty slick, i like some of what they are doing. Thanks for the heads up!
If you really want no color at all, you can just set your screen to grayscale in Accessibility options. ☺

Hi guys I'm after a dark theme for my pixel 2 XL. I tried swift dark which looked nice but i had trouble with notifications. When i scrolled down from the top nav bar some of the text was dark so was hard to read. Is there a way of changing notification texts

Use swift black instead and it has black white text fix included
I haven't experienced any problems regarding this theme make sure to reboot after applying
Also black looks more sexy than dark just saying ?

Not sure you can. I believe it's native to the theme. Does the same on mine.

Surely there would be a setting to enable color change.
Also would nova launcher clash with substratum theming

When you select notification app name option overlay in android system to be app specific that's what make it green for whatsapp because whatsapp has that color as default

That's not possible AFAIK
You need to use a different theme which themes the whatsapp app notification
Can't really know about any theme but you can try themes and if it doesn't work get a refund
