Hopefully this is the right place for this thread....
I feel like I am looking for something so basic and I can't believe I cant find what I am looking for. I really just want a simple black and white theme for my Note 5.
In a perfect situation I would really just like the stock icons but all of the Headers and menus and sliders have a black and white theme to them. In a realistic world I would be fine if the icon pack was changed, but I just cant find anything this simple. All of them in the theme store try to do way too much, and many of the custom ones in the XDA Theme threads are really amazing, just way more than I am looking for. Have you seen any that seem to fit what I am looking for?

I guess it is nice to know that I am not alone at least!
How about "White Tiger", "[MINU] White Dark" , "[MINU] White" from theme store. They are simple and free.

Thanks for the response. White Tiger is a good example of trying to do too much, imo. Minu white dark has an error where notifications appear as white on white text, and they haven't fixed it yet....I hadn't seen minu white, so I'll give that one a run. Thanks!
Minu white is really close....the problem is that all of the shortcut text is black, so you need to have a light or white background....I like everything else on this theme well enough, but wish I could use a dark background...

Another one that is close, it has a greenish accent color instead of white. Otherwise it would be perfect, but as it is it is just close for me...
If you are still interested, I found one called "Fantasy_Dark_V2" that is ok. It changes the default icons, but they arent too annoying. Also, it is like $2 so there is that as well....still staying hopeful that I will find one!!

I just downloaded a few of those Eid themes to try out. The black and red one looks pretty slick, i like some of what they are doing. Thanks for the heads up!
If you really want no color at all, you can just set your screen to grayscale in Accessibility options. ☺

I love all the ICS themes out, along with the minimal black and white, but I was really hoping for a combination of the two. I was thinking of an ICS theme, but without the ICS blue integrated into it and instead keeping text, notification bar, etc all white. Any other interest in this? I've never themed before and while I would like to learn, I don't exactly have a bunch of spare time to work on it. Just curious if anyone would be interested in taking on this task.

I must say that banks has pretty much already did this and it rocks.
I assume you're talking about his minimal black and white theme...it is awesome, but what I was proposing is a more stock ICS feel (dialer, notification bar, stock ICS icons) but with the minimal black and white color scheme. I might have to try to find some time to learn to theme.

Banksmi has Minimal Black theme out already for EL29 but another is always welcome. Here's what the ICS one looks like on my Nexus. Icons are custom icon pack...oh I love it but its made for regular Nexus S so no 4g...but you get the idea of what it would look like...SICK!

The only problem with Black and White themes is that some icons will be black/white and others (from the market) will be colored and it creates an obsolete theme. That's the reason I haven't made a Black/White theme myself.

Yeah, especially gapps. Its something you would constantly stay on top of but even hitting the dialer, contacts, messaging and status bar icons is enough. People like B-Boy, Decalex, Rujelus handle the GMail, Dropbox, Google+, etc inverted apps

Excellent find. I'm planning on doing a transparent as well as ICS blue semi-transparent widget version, with all green eradicated and replaced with ICS blue. I use Evernote a ton, and have been planning this for a while

So the phone comes stock with blue and black. I would love and pay to see a theme turn that black into white. The status bar and everything. Don't care much for the navigation buttons because I don't have them and set my phone in full screen. But ye please let this be White/Blue. Oh and that includes the dialpad, contacts, messaging, well all the gapps, you get what I mean. Anyone agree with me for a white/blue theme? Will look great with the lucky people who managed to pick the white gnex

I'd love to awe a blue/2nite theme, but IMO it can't be 2nite with ICA blue. To me, that'd just look weird. White with a royal or navy blue. . .that's where it's at.

Well in those screenshots the status bar is black.. and the dialer looks a little washed out. But if you took everything black that is in the phone and changed it to white and kept the blue in ics then that would be cool. I understand that some parts will look a little washed out and for those parts just kind of clean it up. I will try to Photoshop some screen shots to give u an idea of what I had in mind today and post a little later

If you could that would be awesome. I mean look at the peoples app and mimic it in the dialler, address book and any other area of the phone where black has taken hold.
Your efforts are really nice. But I would have to say a stronger font colour is need and I believe the background is speckled instead of diagonal lines.
But yes if you could I would be truly indebted to you.

I was wondering if you can change the color of the site to something dark. I know you can change it from white to yellow, I believe it's classic & modern. I thought there was a dark with light text a while ago. maybe that was a different forum. Seem to be on this forum a lot lately and the on screen time is killing my battery. Just wondering. If you are using the XDA Premium app, then you can change the theme, also XDA as a whole is surpose to be getting a new look this year, this might include some theme options.

That's exactly what I want. It doesn't Lol like it should be hard to make. You're mostly inverting the colors of the text and background and maybe modding some of the icons or toggles. I've seen the theme in the GS3 themes section but its for the international one :crying: I love that white background look. Reminds me.of homey comb and looks much better IMO.

Yeah I tried flashing the International version and nothing happened. Hopefully somebody gets it working . Hyper drive has it available as a theme but the rom is still too buggy for me

yeah tell me about it. every page of that thread is problems left and right and its on Release 12 I think. too bad, I'd really like to try that rom.
I've ran hyperdrive for a few days and I'll tell ya it will be one of the best Roms for the S3 once the bugs are fixed. The only things that have issues is the mms and the video camera, other than that everything works fine.

I agree 100% . I think if it's fully stable I would actually call it THE best rom for us period. Right now I'm running moar and at first it seemed kinda boring to me but once I ran morphology I set it up exactly how I want . I love it now . So smooth and stable. Got the whole s4 theme going except the dam white settings .

If someone has the images I can make a morph of them for MOAR. Are you talking about the settings icons? If so pull the secsettings.apk out of a ROM that has it and post it here or PM me the apk. I have no idea what it looks like, but anything white looks just awful...

IT'S not images .. it's just the framework . Like when u click settings its a white background instead of black . The only problem I guess would be that the font is currently white so to see it I guess it would have to be changed black . I personally love white . If you could do that it would be awesome . The icons stay the same

No can do. Not a pro at editing xml's. Besides you do realize our gs3's are not meant to have white as a primary color. Our screens are not made to support white. That's why most backgrounds are dark. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

no idea. i don't have one. i do know white burns more battery and isn't made to be used as a primary color for our gs3. that's why almost everything is a dark tone. :good:

It is the same type of screen it just has 441ppi instead of 320 ppi. But the type of screen is exactly the same

No screen is only built for black. This phone and the gs4 just aren't as white as the HTC One. The screen they use is much better. But both phones handle white perfectly fine. It it wasn't then things like the mail app wouldn't have a white theme.

my mail app is dark. always has been. the screens are completely different. i was using the s4 all day today, white burns thru too much battery on the s3. samsung fixed that issue on the s4. doesn't mater anyway, it just looks terrible. the gs4 has the ugliest look to it. TW in itself is just awful. their blue-green is horrific. and orange, green, and yellow color combo? no 2 things go together at all on TW stock theme.

mms doesnt work
i get constant force closes when im on the phone
it doesnt properly log phone calls, it only saves people in my contacts list
video camera doesnt work
it may not be getting along with ktoonz kernel but i get best battery life from ktoonez so why would i not use it? i gave it a run for about a month but i couldnt deal with the lack of development and it seems like the guy who does it doesnt even have a sprint gs3 so its not likely those problems will ever be fixed.
