Has anyone experienced a much faster drain on your phone with your moto 360 connected? I have LG G3 which has a great battery life to start with but I have noticed my phone charge is much lower now then it used to be normally.
No. But my device seemed to be a bit more laggy..

Yes, I noticed the same with Note 3.
Yes, I'm having incredible drain. It seems to be the "running sync loop" thing. That's the reason. Although I don't know why.
You have wearable widgets installed?
I haven't noticed any additional drain on my LG G3.
I just got my 360 and my G3 is definitely draining faster. Android Wear is using up a lot of battery.
Massive Battery Drain Xperia Z Ultra [Kitkat] from Androidwear app.
I'm glad i'm not the only one with this problem. I've noticed a massive battery drain on my Xperia ZU going from 100% to 50% in less than 4 hours ever since I got the 360. I've discovered that out of all of the processes I have running on the phone, the Android Wear app seems to the culprit (which would explain how hot the back gets on the phone).
The ZU's battery life isnt the greatest but it used to at least last me the whole day before I go to bed and (that's with heavy usage throughout the day). With light usage, usually I can get away with 30% of battery before hitting the hay.
Thoughts? sounds like we need an update...

What wear apps do you have installed? There might be something using it up. Maybe something that uses your location?

I uninstalled any wear apps, androidwear, and moto connect this morning in addition to resetting the 360. I re-paired the watch and only kept the standard app configurations: Agenda - Android Wear, Count Steps - Fit, and Navigate - Google Maps Micro. Even then I'm still draining battery...I just hit 32% since unplugging the phone with 100% @ 8:15 this morning (almost 5 hrs ago - Moto360 is at 70%). I've barely gotten maybe 6 notifications so far..
I've noticed no change in battery life at all with a 360 and my Moto X.
There's definitely a huge drain for me. My G3 was at 20% by 3 PM today, when usually I can get all the way to 10 PM before I hit those levels. My SOT is not even that high yet. I can tell the phone is not deep sleeping properly.

Yes, very serious drain. Phone dead by 4pm. But, here's how I solved it.

Yeah, I just uninstalled the Android Wear and Motorola Connect apps from my phone and reinstalled them. Still too early to tell but my phone is sleeping better now than it was yesterday.

Yeah im not sure if its because I have a lot of things going on in my phone or if my phone is just getting laggy from the moto 360
I have better battery life now that I have my 360. Galaxy S5.

I'm getting the same. I used to get 5 hours on screen time with 14 hours of use. Now I get 3 hours onscreen time with 12 hours of use. That's 2 hours on screen time gone!
I used wakelock detector and it shows the Android wear app had 4586 wakelocks!!! In one day. Wtf! HOSTWITHRPCCALLBACK is the culprit. And system shows android is accountable for 12 percent battery drain. Compared to the next one, which is phone at 3 percent.
I did notice my battery drained like a mother.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Battery life is about the same. I do know I have to have my wifi/data on all the time now for the 360 to work properly. Before I had turn wifi off when screen is off and wifi on when plugged in.
Lg G2 still goes easily 24hrs+
That was one of the first things I noticed when I got the Moto 360, my Nexus 5's battery was draining more rapidly. Isn't leaving Bluetooth on anyway a big battery drainer?
I normally have it off, until I need it.

Not that big of a drain. I had a Pebble before with Bluetooth on all the time and a constant Bluetooth LE connection and there is definitely a difference in phone battery life with the Moto 360
Since updating my 360 that used to get upto 2 days use before charging it now only last between 8 - 10 hours , has anyone else experienced this ??
Mine died for the first time last night.
It has been draining faster after the update.
I have 41% left after 24 hours of use, with like 50 notifications during this time. For me the update imrpoved the battery significantly. I'm waiting to see if it can achieve 48 hours.

I have Wear Mini Launcher, Wear Messenger and Facer installed but I use a stock watch face (the one with digital display). Brightness set to auto and Ambient Off.
My battery life increased. I got two whole days on one charge for the first time.
First day:
Off the charger at 8 am
Turned the watch off at 11 pm with 57%
Second day:
Turned on the watch at 9 am. (Funny thing the watch actually showed 61% even though it never touched the charger)
Put of the charger at 11:30 pm with 9% remaining
This is the best battery life I have gotten. I was using stock watch face, but have several apps installed including Facer.
mine is worse
Mine has been better since the latest 4.4w2 update and with the ambient light on.
Mine drained itself completely in 8 hours but I was using Facer, which I suspect is the culprit (it was fine before the upgrade though). I switched to a stock watchface and I'm down to 84% today after four hours of light use.

4% per hour battery is general level for 360 after my three weeks usage. Each day I record every hour the battery. And I use facer all the time.
You may need to find other watch face by using facer which can keep that 4% drain. So far I put quite many app on watch and do not see it impact battery much.
Mine is slightly better than the last update. I have Facer (but using stock face), Wear Mini Launcher, and Strava installed. Watch comes off the charger at 8:30am and by 11:30pm I usually have 65-70% battery remaining. This thing has absolutely ridiculous battery life, IMO.

Even better battery life after the latest update. I was getting 12 hours initially but now should hit 50 hours with ambient off, stock face minimal and light usage.

After the last update I'm finally getting this amazing battery all you guys are talking about! 6 hours in and I'm sitting at 90%. Now if my phone could last this long. :silly:
Getting worse by the hour....
Now it is using 28.5% per hour! just fully charged it from dead and it's showing 2 hours to discharge, what the hell???
I've turned facer off and on stock digital face, ambient off , think this thing is going back as faulty!!
Strange....
My 360 has gone from 2 hours at charge now upto 21 hours for no apparent reason, but I'm happy now !!
Ambient screen on or off?
Ambient screen is off
I've noticed a lot of people using stock watchfaces are experiencing better battery life than most, regardless of having facer installed or not. I'm assuming that this could be because facer is an app synced through the phone and hence communicates more often with the phone (using more battery) than the stock watchfaces, which are loaded on the watch itself. I would suggest switching to a stock watchface after a reboot and observing any changes! If its the case, we can only wait for release of an API for watchfaces on Android Wear!

I just got through a second days use (I turn it off at night) and still have 22% left now. I've turned it off again, and will see how far i get tomorrow before it final goes flat on day 3. Im ambient mode off, and I use the stock minimal face... everything else on.
24 hours of usage with Ambient ON and Auto Brightness ON, with 10% still remaining. A new record for me, after this update.
I loaded the 5.0 factory image last week and my battery usage has been awful since. I am 100% stock. No root or mods at all.
Yesterday I took my fully charged N7 off the charger about noon. I hardly used it. Sent 3 emails and checked football scores a few times. 10 minutes use max. 95% of the time it was sitting with the screen off. By midnight it was almost dead. I have wifi off during sleep. This morning it's been off the charger for 2 hours and is down 20%. I have not used it at all other than to check the battery. Previously it would last 2-3 days between charges with light use. Not seeing anything standing out as using excessive amount of battery. Android System uses the most at 17%

I know there was a wifi bug but I thought that was fixed prior to the release of the factory images. Strange thing is I have run all the L previews and currently a pre image release of a 5.0 AOSP rom on my N5 and I've had no issues at all.
Anyone else seeing this or have any suggestions?
I been looking for a thread like this. Coming from 4.4.4 all stock battery was great, I don't have any statistics but moving from 4.4.4 to 5.0 still stock no-root, the device gets really warm and battery drop isn't very comforting.
I hear the nexus 9 also gets very warm, must be a 5.0 bug.
5.0 with NRT Sideload update and no issue with battery nor wifi. I loose max 1% by hour in the night ! As I have a little use I can keep it during 3 days without charge !

Same here. Pretty bad battery life with 5.0. Battery would not last more than a day. On 4.4.4 I can easily go 2 days.

I was on XDABBED's rooted stock-image, the battery usage was as bad as the OP's situation.
Since then, I moved to XDABBED's latest AOSP release ... the battery usage has been GREAT.
Also on stock and I can confirm that the battery is worse.
Previously on stock 4.4.4 I had calculated that 10% battery can get me through one day or one hour SOT.
After flashing factory image I can confirm that the most I can manage is 4-5 hours SOT in two days.
That's 30-40% higher battery consumption.
why don't you download an App Ops tool from google play store
and deactivate any location service.
Currently, there are not that many app ops tool that can support lollipop.
One from Lars Team works on Lollipop, so I am using that.
For me, google play service was using extensive amount of power for location search,
and after I turned down location search capability of google play service, the power drainage stopped.
Same Issue
Yes I am also facing the same problem. Terrible battery time. I charged my Tablet yesterday and pulled it out at 100% at 10pm. I put it on Airplane mode and went to sleep. When I woke up today at 6am the battery was showing 70%. It ate 30% at night doing what? I am very disappointed. On Kitkat 4.4.4 I never had such terrible battery performance. I am going to try it out today again and ensure that all apps are closed. Lets see what the performance will be like. Will update tomorrow.
I loaded Battery Batter Stats last night and left unplugged overnight so that I could check for partial wake-locks this morning. Unfortunately the battery was completely dead when I woke up. I put it on the charger when I left for work so I can check tonight.

This was a good advice I must admit [emoji4]
I installed App Ops and noticed huge Location usage from Android System. After I disabled this the battery drain is a lot smaller. Not as good ad KK but very tolerable.
Also noticed that my video player, Archos, is using more power on Lollipop that before. I use it same or less than on KK but it drains the battery a lot more and is always at the top in battery usage.

no battery drain so far
Since 4 days on MM....long way to go until we know for sure though...so far MM seems pretty stable...equal or improved over the previous one.
Quick update from M - 3rd day, 20% battery left. Thanks Sony
After update to MM I turned off gps, wifi and my watch not live more than day. It have about 5% power consumption per hour. What the problem is?
Havn't seen much change yet.
But even when the watch was om 5.1.1 it did good time. Two to four days between charging. Normal two days when using GPS for running every second day.
And so fare it behaves the same on 6.0.1.
No, it didn't. Not because it was 5.1.1's fault but it was app sync's fault.
I had only one battery drain on 6.0.1 - it was right after the very first setup. The same thing happened to me when I was setting up my watch the very first time while on 5.1.1.
On both versions, unpairing the watch, forgetting it in the app, resetting the watch and then, again, pairing it with the phone while plugged, letting it do its job during the sync process, not touching both the phone AND the watch for some time fixed the problem.
Battery life on 6.0.1 is very, very good. The watch lasts for about 3 days. Always On - ON, Gestures - ON, WiFi - ON... well, everything is on, even location.

exactly the same here, did the 6.0.1 update and battery down to 16% in less than 40 min.
Wiped everything, unpaired, did update again but now via PC companion, resetted everything again and now great battery life. 2x 20 min gps daily for bike ride and still 2 day battery life.

It drop to 10 after power ON the morning. When Power Off for the night it was at 46%
So no software issue (and never was software issue), just a deffective (deteriored) batt. I think there are faulty regulator charge circuit in SW3 and the battery overcharged. Just see how fast an SW3 can be charged, not normal charge process.
In general way, when a lithium batt drain faster after 50(40) % it mean batt is damaged.
I have normal drain from 50% to maybe 40%. Problem is after 40%.
So far I haven't suffered the random battery drain since the update.

Hi everyone,
Since a few days, the battery life of my OP3 has been divided by at least 3, with a normal use, it lasts no longer than 5 hours, I now usually charge it twice a day, and during the night, it lose about 60% battery, here's a screenshot.

Recently I've been playing Pokemon GO a lot so I understand it can damage the battery, but none of my friend have experienced the same issue, yet they have cheaper phone than the OP3.
I did a few research and didn't notice anyone with the same problem.
Also I contact OnePlus support but they are unqualified so I don't want to lose more time with them.
Yesterday I wiped everything on my phone and reinstalled Oxygen OS, during the night I lost about 10% battery, that's a big progress but it's still abnormal, and I have lost about 10% again by using my phone a bit after awaking.
So I tried everything that is in my knowledge but there still a big problem with the battery of my phone, anyone has a solution for me ?
I note from your screen shot you are running both Facebook and messenger, and from your post pokemon go, notorious battery hogs I suspect they aren't helping. But if this drain is a new phenomenon what have you installed on recently?
Yes I know Facebook, Messenger and Pokemon GO drain a lot of battery, but I charged my phone at 100% before going to sleep and closed all the apps, so these apps wasn't running in background during the night, I just received some notifications and messages during the night, that can't be what drained so much battery... Also I've been using Facebook and Messenger on Android for 3 years now, and I'm playing Pokemon GO since July 6, but the huge battery drain started only a few days ago, and I started to notice battery problem maybe 2 weeks ago.
I didn't installed anything special recently, I'm just using my phone like I've always did...
What sensors have you activated? GPS? NFC? Bluetooth?
Did you try and install Better Battery Stats? Or Wake Lock Detector?
Gesendet von meinem ONEPLUS A3003 mit Tapatalk
I only activated GPS.
I installed BetterBatteryStats about 1 month ago but I don't really understand the stats in it. I installed it because someone on another forum told me to install it and post screenshots after a day of use, that was a few time after I received my OP3 because since the beginning I noticed the battery life was anomaly short. I've recently uninstalled it.
You can see the screenshots here
A technician from OnePlus called me and advised me to install Snapdragon Guru so I did it, I will see if it changes anything.
Well 3% per hour is not so bad, I have it, too. GPS is most time in energy saving mode and Bluetooth is on as I wear a smart watch.
Perhaps you should reinstall BBS again and we will have a look at the newer stats.
GPS can be a real drainer.
Gesendet von meinem ONEPLUS A3003 mit Tapatalk
Now it is more like 10-15% per hour...
I'm downloading OOS 3.2.4 but the mirror is very slow so I'll have it this night I thing. I will wipe everything again, install latest OOS and install BBS again, we'll see then...
So yesterday I wiped everything again and reinstalled OOS 3.2.4 this time, then I went out to play Pokemon GO so the battery emptied in about 4 hours which was normal while playing this game, anyway, I charged it at 100% before going to sleep and put it in airplane mode and look at the result :
So now I'm sure of one thing, the battery doesn't drain itself for no reason. Yesterday a technician from OnePlus called me and told me about turning data off during the night (that why I put my phone in airplane mode). If that is really the problem, I don't understand why... Why after 3 years using Android, data suddenly drains battery like never before (without changing my way of using my phone) and why it does that to only a few people...
Today I used my phone normally, it lasted almost all the day, that is a big progress, but it is still ridiculous compared to my old phones that lasted 2 days at the beginning. I took a lot of screenshots when the battery was almost empty so maybe someone can help me to analyze what is the problem with the battery consumption.
Did you ever find a solution to your battery drain? If so, would you like to share this solution?
