Since Lollipop, I've noticed that if I start Skype via a Wifi connection and later switch to a mobile data connection (either by moving out of WiFi range or by turning WiFi off), Skype disconnects and never reconnects via mobile data (although it does automatically reconnect if my WiFi connection resumes).
Once Skype thus disconnects, the only way I can reconnect it without WiFi is to force-stop it and then start it again, at which point it connects properly. (Reinstalling Skype doesn't solve the problem.)

Hello,
I have some strange problem - whenever my HTC 1x is connected to my WiFi connection, after some time it kills internet connection for all connected devices. WiFi connection stays perfect but internet connection becomes lost until I disconnect my phone and reconnect all other devices. This happens on any internet connection, not only on my personal. Maybe someone has any ideas how can this be fixed?
I use my GPAD along with a nice bluetooth headset when I exercise. After the upgrade to 4.4.2, I started experiencing wifi connection drops. The only way to reestablish the connection is to toggle airplane mode, disable bluetooth or reboot the tablet. As long as I have bluetooth disabled the connection is consistent but if enabled, the connection drops within 15 minutes. Has anyone else experienced wifi drop outs with bluetooth enabled?

...and have always assumed that there will be a problem when streaming to my BT headset (which I do often) and try and use Wi-Fi at the same time. This happens consistently and so I just tend to no longer bother.
Actually I now use my Nexus 7 (original) just for BT streaming and the G Pad for other use when a Wi-Fi is needed.
Is anyone else having problems connecting to (and staying connected) to a Wi-Fi network? Before & after rooting (no rom change, still stock), there are instances where the phone will be connected to my home wifi network, then out of no where the connection will tank. The phone states that it is still connected to the network, but all apps (ie: chrome, speedtest.net, brave frontier) state that there is a connection error. I disconnect from the network, reconnect, then everything will go back to normal for about 1 minute, then the phone loses connection again. Any help or suggestions that anyone could give me would be much appreciated!
Try going to another location where there's wifi. If it doesn't cut on you then there is a possibility it's you're router.

I also has found the same problem, If the Fire-Phone disconnect from a Wi-Fi network, or if move out of Wi-Fi range, phone don't automatically switches to a new mobile connection (if available)...
I currently own other cellphones (Moto-X, Moto-G LTE, Moto-E and iPhones), and all of them automatically switches and connects to a new mobile connection if available whithout any problems, but with the "Amazon-Phone-Phone" you always need to manually connect to the WIFI...
So, I am also very insterested to know if there is any solution to this annoying problem or if there is any APP, that works with the Fire-Phone, that could help to automatically connect to WIFI?
I wish to know if other users of the Amazon Fire-Phone, are having these same problems connecting to WIFI automatically?
as per title, when I come home to my wifi, or reboot the phone, it says wifi connected but I have no internet. toggling wifi on off brings it back and it stays fine after that. just the initial connection. any ideas?
