Hi guys. Im a noob, first post here and need some help. Be searching all day for how to load a stock rom to my device GT-N5110.
Heres the low down.
Purchased in Australia. No samsung updates applied.
Successfully rooted with framaroot. Was running framaroot for more than a month
Install busy box today in normal mode I think. I chose the safe option.
Edited build.prop product model so I could install Navigon
Navigon working fine
Now..........
Unable to change the product name back using es explorer or file expert.
Thought it would change after restart but device entered bootloop. I think busybox was the culprit. Should have looked up what its all about.
Discovered recovery mode and did factory data reset. Can access odin screen on device too.
Device boots but hangs on language selection screen
I have found and downloaded stock rom for it that I found here somehow
I tried "Mrjraider" tutorial "how to flash back to a stock rom"
but odin crashes whenever I load the rom file and it wont recognize my GN8.0
Computer runs on windows 8. Kies is up to date too. Kies reconizes device but is unable to update or anything
Was running odin 4.43 with AriesVE.ops in compatabillity win xp sp3 with administrator .
can try on a win7 computer tomorrow.
This is the name of the file its about 1.2 Gb....... N5110UEDMD1_N5110XARDMD1_HOME.tar.md5 do I need to rename this or something
There was also a .dll that was in the package, whats with that?????
be looking through this forum all day and night and cant quite find what im looking for. If what I seek is here please point me to it. Or if any one here in Brisbane, can fix it for me,What are your thoghts? PM me.
Just want my baby back working again.
when it comes to phones, Kies and Odin never play nice together, so it may be the same with these things..
get kies completely off your computer, and your tablet, reboot, and try Odin again...also try a different cable and a different USB port if at first it doesnt work properly..
will give it a bash. cheers
ok so what i have is a s3 not rooted that bricked hours after ota update..i tried a few things that i have been reading on here..i see now that odin is telling me (no pit partiton).i think that is the reason why i cant root it or flash roms or anything to it.tried to just clean root it so i can save my photos and file.i read on here adb can get files off but no luck with that because it wont connect to phone..if i flash the stock pit file in odin do you think that will fix it without deleting files? and i wanted to do stock bootloader in hopes thats the problem but all i ever get is pay file sites are hotfile that takes 3hours to dl only to crash halfway so i cant get a damn stock bootloader...any ideas? thanks

Maybe u r not flashing correct stock firmware version. Go to android settings-about phone and tell me what it says under baseband version. Then check this thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2369125
Under links, there is link for stock unrooted firmware versions. The last 3 numbers/letters of ur baseband should match up with one of firmwares there. Odin should let u flash that one and u will have to start over rooting, custom recovery, flash CORRECT rom for ur device model, etc. . Link to rom u flashed please? Let me know
U can post questions like this in my thread for gs3 with lollipop help and troubleshooting if u like...
honestly i couldnt tell u im stuck at the blue bouncing or flashing head logo and cant get past. all i know is my phone is a sph-L710T and current binary: custom, system status: custom, qualcomm secureboot: Enabled, bootloader ap swrev 1, secure check fail boot in download mode and in recover i get (E:/failed to mount /efs Invalid Argument) wont mount sd either says failed i tried abd and and kies and it wont recognize it or cant find it. getting to the point i just wanna smash it lmao
heres a couple threads with related issues. maybe u can learn a little more about problem. I think i know what to do, but i dont give advice unless i know for sure. Let me know if these links didnt help u figure it out.

get frija's firmware download tool
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s9/how-to/tool-frija-samsung-firmware-downloader-t3910584
go to sammobile.com/firmwares and find the version you need for your phone then enter the necessary info into Frija's tool and download the zip you need. Unzip the contents into a folder that you can easily find, then go get the most recent version of odin (3.13.1 https://odindownload.com/SamsungOdin/ ) and retry.
I was trying to flash a new firmware version on an A8 yesterday and it got stuck because i was using Odin 3.10.1 instead of the new one.
Hope this helps
I Hope its the right place for my question.
So at the last 3 days Im trying to root my N975F Note 10+ phone
When Im trying to flash with JOdin i get the error "Curetted files detect" from JOdin (Im using macos)
I downloaded another framework from different source and i get the same results
I tried let the JOdin take the PIT file by itself but when the phone restart and i go back to download mode JOdin cant detect my phone.
I read on google that some guy said it happened to him, But the files work great on windows.
Any ideas on what's going on and how can i fix it?
