MHL + OTG same time - Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

Hi everyone,
¿Can the T2 Ultra Dual use MHL/HDMI + OTG + Charge at the same time?, I like to use my phone as a desktop computer with a TV and USB Keyboard+Mouse. Very few phone can do both things at the same time (I'm a Atrix widow )

[Q] Need some help with connectivity issues

Hi I recently bought the Samsung Galaxy S3 MHL/HDMI Adapter so that I can mirror my Galaxy Note II to TV.
HTML:
http://www.clove.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-s3-mhlhdmi-adaptor
Basically what I'm trying to do is to be able to connect simultaneously this adapter with my external HDD 500Gb.
HTML:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intenso-6021530-500GB-External-Drive/dp/B0056ZOLXQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1358358015&sr=8-1
That way I will be able to carry all my movies in the HDD and being able to play it through my mobile at TV.
Now when I connect the drive alone(non externally powered) to the mobile through USB OTG cable everything works fine.
That's the case when I connect the MHL adapter alone in the mobile. It works great.
My problem is when I try to connect BOTH the HDD and the adapter together. That way I can open my mobile navigate to my HDD and open the video file and play it at any given HDTV. But I can't find the right configuration to make it work. Now the first thing that comes into mind is a USB hub. I try to use this one I own with 3 slots I have but with no luck.
Code:
http://www.tomatoflash.com/products/product_detail.php?Cate=products&label=15&dSN=16&tSN=85&mSN=45#03
What I do is the following. I connect the HDD directly to the hub through usb. I use a usb to usb cable to power the hub. And on the third usb slot of the hub I power the MHL adapter. To the mobile goes the micro usb male cable of the MHL adapter.
Now what happens is that the MHL adapter as expected works fine, but the HDD, while it seems to power (green light on the HDD) cannot be recognized from the mobile.
I believe this happens for either 2 reasons.
First : There's no way the mobile can see the HDD through the hub this way (could an externally powered usb hub help I wonder??)
Second : I need to have a dual micro usb female to micro usb male cable (which doesn't exist??), so that I can directly connect both the HDD and the MHL adapter on the phone.
Below is a photo of the connectivity if it helps

So what do you think I'm doing wrong or what do you suggest in terms of connectivity?
Thanks in advance for your help and ask anything to clarify if I made things complicated
I'm sorry but I cannot post links because of my limited number of posts thus the "html"

USB OTG CABLE for a rooted Xperia Arc

Been not that active a couple of months. But recently caught a video on YouTube using this so called USB onthego cable on a Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
The actual device which I am about to switch to.
Man, I was facinated.
The thought of increasing the memory volume on a meagre device such as an Arc was incredible.
You don't have to stash your full HD movies or your 1K odd of music downloads in your PC nomore, just to make room on your 32GB so that the device don't lag further.
For now the Galaxy note 2 can wait.
Been hard at googling and reading all about USB OTG cables.Could not find a proper cable which is suitable for a rooted SE Xperia Arc LT15i on AOKP M1R3 custom rom with Fusion kernel ver5.5
In some it says you would have to mod it to mount into the USB slot and some says it works great.
Then again there's the USB OTG helper app which also says it might not work on some devices.
So,is there anyone here who use this cable on a rooted xperia arc.Would oblige to hear what your recommendations be.

I am not sure, if Fusion and JB ROMs actually have USB OTG support. Stock GB (most likely ICS aswell) do have this feature.
As for the cable, there is only one type, that can be used - female USB to male microUSB aka USB On-The-Go cable.
I've bought a cheap OTG cable at ebay (€ 0,99 inc transport) and it works perfectly (UHD 4.0 and Lupus v.16 - OTG should be enabled on lupus menu)
And you need to use USB OTG Helper (just download it from play store).

otg cable

hey
im looking for otg cable with power charge
thats mean i want to use otg (plug a mouse) and charge the g pad at the same time
is there any ? and is it possible at all ?
note: i found that sony LiveDock do this to their phones, but im not sure if it work with our tablet..
as far as I know, when used in host mode, the USB cannot be used to provide power to the tablet, only can the USB device connected via OTG receive power from the tablet.

My Dell Venue 8 Pro (a Windows 8.1 tablet) does this with a $20 accessory from Dell. You could order one from them and try it.

[Q] Contract HTC One X, does HDMI output work?

i broke the screen of my one x and i need to find a way to transfer my data to my computer. USB debugging is off, so i need to find a way to turn it on but i cannot use the screen ( see attachments for image)
My first solution was a micro usb to HDMI cable to connect to my TV. However as this phone is a contract phone i am unsure the HDMI output will work ( other forums said phones on contract have limitations)
If i cannot use a micro usb to HDMI cable due to restrctions, then what other options is there to getting my data off the One X?
i cannot post a link to the cable i was going to use, but just search amazon uk for: CSL - 2m MHL adapter cable for Samsung S2, HTC One, Sony Xperia, LG | MicroUSB to HDMI | 5-pin | Mobile high definition / Full HD | Image + sound transmission
