What ROM are you talking about? This one?
A link to the actual ROM thread would be helpful. @digitalhigh has a few out.

Yes, thats the rom. Sorry

That's a multi-carrier ROM. Yes you can flash it.

I saw the multixarrier option through aroma but I get confused with it saying you must be on only 4.4.4 firmware. It means 4.4.4 or does it mean 4.4 and up

It means at least 4.4.4. You will be fine with Lolly firmware.

Just to be clear, this is the T-Mobile thread and the most recent version is NF4 and it is rootable. Not sure if the version you're asking for was a typo.

I know this is the T-Mobile section, I have a T-Mobile note 3. But my firmware is on f6 and not f4 and when I Googled it nothing came up. Here's a screenshot.

I really don't know, it could just be a side effect of a custom rom. Anyway lets assume you have already tripped knox, you should be able to run NF4 full firmware and then root with cf autoroot. I'm currently on NF4 knox tripped root and custom recovery

But my note 3 is on stock. Touchwiz and everything
What can I do to check if it's a custom rom?

How do you figure that? The version numbering doesn't match the S5.
Kernel and baseband info clearly state they are for the N900T.
The version number and time stamp look like a new release (Aug 15) for the T-Mobile Note 3.
So am I the only one on this firmware? Can I still downgrade to e6 root
I googled it - NF6 is definitely an S5 firmware as louforgiveno stated.

Yeah from what i could gather it appears that way, however I'm interested in the ".dm" at the end of the build number in his screen shot. Not sure what that is??

Wow, in the q&a thread there's a user who posted a screenshot with NF9 and it also has the .dm in the build number. All these updates...really not used to it....not sure how i feel about that....?

Any chance of a downgrade/root? Or should I wait it out.

Flashing New Firmware

Ok, so after I update to a new firmware, does it stay with me after flashing a different rom? Or do I have to update to the newest firmware every time I flash a new rom?

You don't have to reflash firmware.
Well, that depends on the Rom.
If the Rom you'll install requires a new firmware then the answer is Yes.
Most Rom upgrades do not requiere firmware upgrade, that is why you need to read thr thread of the Rom.
Example: viper Rom. V1 to v2 requiered new firmwar, v2 to v3 required upgrade as well. 3.0.1 to 3.1.0 was a minor upgrade so no firmware upgrade was required.

Ummm... he's asking if he has to RE-FLASH the same firmware after a ROM update, not asking if he has to update his firmware to flash a new version ROM.
So yes, the answer is no.

You probably won't find one that is still in development but Cloudy is quite popular stock KK based ROM, which also has a LL version for certain variants.

That I'm not 100% about. I use stock so haven't fiddled with it yet. But my guess would be no. That being said, you can easily try it. If it doesn't work (loops, bugs, etc), you can always restore your backup (which I do assume you'll do before flashing )

You need to flash KK modem if you want to use KK Roms.
Thanks, and last one question. Is it possible, to get LG apps (like QuickRemote, LG Camera, or QuickCircle) in CM11?

The first thing you need to do is go S-Off. You can't convert or flash WWE firmware without it.
But most, if not all WWE ROMs, are compatible with the AT&T model.
What ROM is it you want to flash?

I used RR on my Zenfone 5 before and i absolutely love it.
Or. I'll just flash the WWE version of the stock one.
Because i'm using AT&T model without a AT&T sim.......
Wanted to get OTA updates

More or less, yes. There are some carrier specific things that you might not get (VoLTE, wifi calling), but over all, those ROMs should work fine.
There are also ROMs that have carrier specific settings. With ViperOne you can choose your carrier to keep those, if they are different features than what WWE has.

Yes, S-Off is permanent, unless you purposely go back to S-On.

You don't need s-off to flash ROMs.
Custom ROMs and OTAs don't go together. Its typically one or the other. If you are flashing custom ROMs, what do you need OTA for?
Update the firmware (if needed) and then just unlock the bootloader, install custom recovery TWRP and flash the ROM.
Only reason you would need to convert (flash WWE firmware) is if you need to change the band support.

The reasons for sunshine's pay license has been discussed on these forums ad naseum. If you don't have the money, simply don't s-off. Modding phones is not a necessity like food or shelter. And s-off isn't needed for most mods, anyway.
