cwm doesn't support partition. If you want to partition your sdcard, you have to put it on your computer and partition with a software. There are plenty of them.

6.0.5.1 has partition support

[Q] Two ext4 partitions ?

Hi. I'm about to install a new rom on my HTC Desire, and the developer says i need to partition my SD card like this :
*******************
But the first thing you'll have to do is repartitioning your sd card (I suggest 4ext or you can use clockworkmod recovery) like this:
1st partition fat32 xyMB
2nd partition - sd-ext - ext4 - 768MB (the 1st ext that recovery will ask you)
3rd partition - sd-ext2 - ext4 - 256MB (the 2nd ext that recovery will ask you)
NO SWAP!!!
You can use different values for sd-ext partitions, but ext proportion HAS TO BE 3:1 (like my suggestion 768:256)!!!
*******************
I flashed Clockworkmod recovery and i dont have an option in there to create 768 size partition and i really dont know how to create 2 ext4 partitions. So how do i do it ? I would really be greatful for any help here. Thank you.
4EXT Recovery Touch should be your recovery (check my sig).

All you need to do is to
1. Download and install 4EXT Recovery Updater, and launch it.
2. It will ask for root access, which you must grant.
3. After granting it root access you can use it to download and flash 4EXT Recovery. You must have an internet connection for this.
4. The recovery updater app will now download 4EXT Recovery and flash it on your device, replacing the older CWM Recovery you have currently, it's that simple.
there you will find the option to create 2 ext partitions.
guess i have to install some rom first so i can get 4ext, i couldn't find an image file to flash it otherwise. On it now. Thanks.

Thank you all, you've been very helpful. I've flashed 4ext and pratitioned the SD card, my phone took ages to start, so finally i've installed the rom, gonna try it out now. Thank you all again ! Cheers.
Glad to know that your problem is solved. enjoy your new rom.

What you need to do is to:
1) turn off your phone and remove the micro-sd
2) plug the micro-sd to an SD adapter of some sort, and attach it to your computer directly
3) use some tool other than CWM recovery to create the needed partitions.
At least, that's how I've done it...
I've always created EXT4 partitions in CWM 5.0.2.8. However, my partition is always 4GB, too.

[Q] Recovery with ext4 support

Hello guys,
Currently there is any recovery that can create an ext4 partition on sd card?
Basically I don't want to use my computer to create a partition.
What is the best recovery out there?
Use TWRP recovery

But as mentioned in the threads for INT2EXT scripts : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716124 , there is no provision to Partition my SD card. Please help me with any other workaround to increase the internal memory.

There is a provision to partition the SD card in CWM, I think it is under "Advanced"........ Be sure to backup the contents of the SDcard since partitioning will completely wipe it

Hey in CWM recovery normally it is present in advanced >> Partition SD card but for CWM version 6.0.4.8 there is no "Partition SD card" option thats the problem. May be @oliver didnot include this feature in this recovery software:crying:

Ummm.......why not try using minitool for pc
I partitioned mine before changing recovery.
If all else fails you can always reflash cwm 5!!!! It takes a few second!
