Hi!
I bought a HTC Desire 820 last week and feel kinda bugged up with the UI. Any leads on a good ROM for the phone? Can't wait to flash my phone for a good UI. Pretty new to this XDA Devs. So help needed for Tools and Tips

Are u using htc desire 820s?? If so... i am also looking for the same thing.... we both are going in the same route...pls help me too if u get any ways to do that

If not stick with standard Desire, no S, no HD, its an awesome fone.

A little more elaboration:
The DHD or DesireS only has a slightly better processor and Gingerbread. From the perspective of a long time an dedicated Desire user (ok, almost a year is long right?), the DHD or the Desire S isn't that much of an upgrade (or at least not worth the $$$).
So, since you are already considering the hunky DHD, might as well save up and go for the Sensation.
Trust me. Look at my post count. I'm REALLY experienced in this. And I did my homework when the DHD came out. It isn't that great.
We need ROM ;-)

My daughter smashed my g2 and I didn't have an upgrade but love HTC so I scooped this up. half the fun is modifying and this phone is causing withdrawal pangs. I guess we have to wait until the boatloader unlock is released on htcdev. com before we get any dev attention. The bloatware got to go!

It's just, no use atm changing ROM, cause stock ROM is great and work as good as the avalible costum ones.

there isn't enough people with the unlocked bootloader to warrant more devs to develop the phone.
Well, there is/will be another 10 at least that are S-OFF thanks to the beauty of the X-Clip bulk buy group! It's nowhere near enough to bump up the numbers for a good custom rom to be published though
Personally, I would love the MIUI ROM to make it onto the Wildfire S as they already support quite a few HTC phones it may just happen?
Can i install The MIUI rom in my ws?

MIUI never got ported for the original wildfire, Don't think they will do it for the S.
Best thing you can hope for is CM.
Have you spoken to the cyanogenmod people, they might be able to help you?

I agree with you. I believe that what we actually need is a ROM as clean and as fast as possible.
No extra apps and bloatware preinstalled. Then everyone can install what they want!

After trying a lot of different rom, I tried first Sense 4.0 porting and I Tell u we are almost ready. Desire is still a good phone!!

Oh yeah. The Desire is a great phone. It's not as fluid as new devices such as One X, but it has nothing it can't do ! A perfectly usable phone for everyday use... :fingers-crossed:

Hey Guys!
I was just wondering whether any developers are working on porting Sense 5.0 to the HTC One X as I'd love to experience blinkfeed and all the performance increases Sense 5.0 will bring so I was just wondering whether any devs were working on a rom based on it. So far I can see that there are Sense 5 roms for the HTC J Butterfly/Droid DNA and there are theme packs for the One X but I would really like blinkfeed and the updated Rosie launcher. I've heard HTC Is updating the One X, S, J and butterfly to Sense 5 officially but god knows how long they'd take.

No one as far as I know, and as you aware of, It would be meaningless to port Sense 5 when it's going to be officially released to our phone.

Man, the porting is really difficult! A lot of resize image, a lot of commands edit, files text edits... Who want to port it have to have a lot of time whatvnow us dont have! Any ways i will start porting some apps in one week, but i dont think that i am going to try porting the prism.apk (rosie with blinkfeed), the best what we can do is wait to the release of Htc!

I think the Devs are waiting for a midrange device from HTC with HD resolution so they can port it without the pain in the ass resizing. It'd be easier that way.

I think One x developers can work using the viperboy port base (EVO 4G LTE), is resized and the hard work is almost done, we just need a experience developer porting.
I wish we get the port before the official version is released!...i know its tough to port because our device being tegra!!!but still it would be really cool using it before the release!

I'm a newbie ....I dont get time coz i m a school student..still interested in knowing things...i just bought a new one x..i want to learn many things from the seniors...wish me luck!!i have visited many threads on creating roms!!i dont understand any!!would u please temme what r the basics?! Thanks in advance!!!

I suggest you read the stickies and follow the unlocking and installing ROM guides, help is always here of you get stuck.

Just Got my desire 530 couple of days ago and so far for a £110 bucks I'm very impressed very smooth lovely build quality and feachers, Hope to see dev support and some ports heading our way soon , What's your thoughts ? Root News etc [emoji3]
