[Q]Sense 4 project is dead, right?

Guys,
I know there are many posts like this, but to be clear some of those who prefer to stick to desire rather than one x are hoping for sense 4 including me. Unfortunately shaky discontinued his work and no one is interested so I speak for those sense 4 fanatics that we hope this project is continued again, no ETAs no nagging.

Good luck on this. Just on the other thread I saw someone pleading for Sense 4 like his entire life is depending on it.

I guess some things are too much of a trouble for the devs, think audio was the main issue apart from other stuff of course. And yeah, let it go dude there are already decent ICS roms out there if u want ICS... Btw if you plan on investing in a decent budget phone with Sense 4 I would suggest the One V - bought it for my girlfriend a few months ago and she loves it! And to be quite honest it simply delivers - it is very smooth and fluid, you get the whole sense 4 experience with a very few corners cut, being a few animations here and there and the helicopter view.

My friend said one v is super laggy and that is what I first planned to buy but already spent all my money on fixing desire motherboard :sly:

Is anybody working on a sense JB based ROM at the moment or is there one out there that I may have missed that I can test run?

I don't think your supposed to post this here, but there is a post somewhere in the general section for One V talking about it.
On a side note: A lot of people, I believe at least, are waiting for it to be port to a device with a "not so different" screen then ours or more similar hardware.

HTC wont be releasing an official JB rom for the OneV but eventually, they will release something similar enough that we can port. We have no hardware limits, like the wildfire S does/did so the sky is totally our limit

The one x+ shipped with sense jellybean I will try to learn ROM porting this Christmas after I learn kernels

I hate sense - it looks ugly and old fashioned! But the camera would be welcome.. I miss it.. the one on PA ( and I guess all JB roms) sucks..

I think you should ask in sensation and evo forums which already ported it... Also they ported it cause they won't get it officially but Hix will get it in 2 months

however i wont get further involved because its coming to HOX anyway soon.

If I get my one x tommorow (and only IF) then I'll help you. I have some experience with sense 4.0 (ported it to s3 and normal galaxy s)

i remember Torxx was porting sense 5 to the hox and he stopped because porting from a snapdragon to a tegra was hard ... maybe u can work with him to make it happen

i tryed it also and torxx is right it is really difficult to port a snapdragon base rom to tegra phone
and we get the sense 5 in a couple of month's ,it is better to put your energy in something else
if the sense 5 was on a tegra then we already had sense 5 on the one x

I just downloaded the base to try...
Did it anything..or nothing..?
I mean can you pass first bootscreen and go to the bootanimation..?

Someone ported Sense from Tegra 3 to Exynos...It should be possible to port from Snapdragon.

i got it to boot up ,but it is stuck at the bootanimation
i tryed some thing but no luck (had also not much time to look any futher)
and i forgot all about it then
i think it can be done to boot it up ,but i think you get into real trouble getting everyhing to work correct
leave it guys ,couple of month's you get it from htc
if it was a new sense that was not coming to the one x then maybe i spend more time with it

Sense 5 ROM?

This video shows Sense 5 on One S, now I guess someone could develop a Sense 5 ROM for the One X before HTC releases the update?. Or will this just be a waste of time to develop?, because HTC will release the update "soon". But I'd love to see a Sense 5 (not just Sense 5 themed) ROM for the One X

It was mentioned many times before that One X/X+ have different Tegra3 chipset which makes it difficult to port from other phones.

Actually, some time ago, HTC was the OEM that had the fastest updates. Of course, the keyword is WAS, so you are right on this one.
I think it's hard to port a rom from Qualcomm platform to Tegra 3, and that's the reason none of the great developers tried to do it so far. I'm not a developer, so I might be wrong about this.

Yes, you are right...it's difficult to port a One S rom to X not only that they have diff chipsets..they have entirely diff hardwares...so porting is really out of the question...what i'd like to know how did the dude get his hand on a leaked version...and why isn't there one for the One X!!

Yesterday mike1986 and torxx got their hands on the Release version of 4.2.2 with Sense 5 for HTC One .
It seems that torxx is the one who posted Sense 5 on One S too. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2298253

Not being a final release Sense 5 ROM for the Evita - the Qualcomm version of the One X, it’s not perfect. Features like Bluetooth, the FM radio and stock WiFi tethering don’t work, not to mention unique HTC One (and now One mini) features like HTC ZOE photos aren’t possible.

Man wait for the update its coming nxt month.

they have already released the update hox+ n now in 1 or 2 weeks they r gonna make it for hox!!..

Request : HTC Zoe and BlinkFeeed on sense 4+

I known its too difficult to port sense 5 to onex. But i really like Zoe and Blinkfeed, so why not we just try to port zoe and blinkfeed ( like a widget ) to Sense4+.
Since sense4+, zoe and blinkfeed. I definitely bet it would be better than sense 5

''Onex is getting sense5'' i'm really dubious about that althought i heard many many news about sense5 for my device. But One S has get a sense5 porting . Unfortunately, we must hope, wait and be patient. I just want to have blinkfeed's widget and zoe that is only a part of sense5. And if our sense4+ has both of them, I think onex will be perfect on sense4+

F.. Ck tegra 3 and Nvidia. It make hox so hot, the battery is drained fast, and we must get stuck in sense 4 without blinkfeed, zoe. No ported, no mod
P/s : thanks for xda's developer. You are a best reason that make me to keep up using Hox. I love onex and Htc, xda's developer but i hate Tegra 3. It's so complicated to mod anything

I think Htc also think like u : tegra is so difficult to port. And so far, Hox's user whether should have sense 5 at Q1-2014. Bla.. Bla...or not
