Hey Guy's
At first i have to apologize for my English.
Now my question, I rooted my G3 with this guide.
Then I tried to flash a custom recovery, but that didn't work.
Now my LED Notification didn't work anymore except on Knock On and Charge.
Now I hope somebody can help me with this issue.

I will but I was hoping another method can be found. Since it is the only thing not working I'd hate setting everything back up.
Omg I just noticed this too. I am on lollipop. I rooted using that guide and then I tried to install TWRP but it failed cuz its not for lollipop yet. Any fix for this yet?

I have the AT&T version and I was already on Lollipop when I bought the phone... and followed the guide here starting with #1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-lg-g3/development/rom-lg-d850-20f-lollipop-5-0-1-extras-t3052041
The files will be different if you don't have the D850 but the process should work if you extract the right files
Have same issue on my D850, rooted and TWRP installed. Not really sure when it stopped working.....
would be nice to get it back, missed several phone calls/notifications already.
TIA!
Try going to settings and uncheck every box for notifications. Then re-check them. Reboot your phone. I got my notifications back!

No im with fido in canada. I lost notification when i rooted on lollipop. I unchecked all the boxes and rechecked them and restarted my phone. Its all working. Do you have any lights working? Charging light? If you need to, in the Accessibility settings, check mark turn on led light for notifications. See if you can use that in the mean time.

Don't update it. More than likely if you have twrp and root it will loop. I did mine this morning and it looped it. I had to factory reset with the lg tool. Just wait it out. The update isn't that serious.
Hey Danon, where did get the LG tool to factory reset? i feel victim to the same damn thing. Need to reset mine now.

First off, this question belongs in the Q&A not development
BUT. Regarding root, you never want to apply an OTA update, you never know if they could patch any rooting exploit and or lock the bootloader. Someone will most likely pull the update from the device and make us a flashable zip that will preserve root.
So for now do nothing at all
I have no intention of installing this update but how do I get rid of the persistent notification? It's annoying me.

Once you get the process down it takes about 7 minutes. I would advise you to do it with Windows 7 if you can.

I know on my S4 i337m when running the Google Play Edition ROM I modified this line in the build prop to the same line from the build prop in that update.
ro.build.fingerprint=samsung/jgedlteue/jgedlte:4.4.4/KTU84P.S001/140602:user/release-keys
I'm assuming it would work on ours too if anyone has their phone updated and can post that (ro.build.fingerprint) line from their build prop.
Is there anyone that maybe posted an update we can flash on our Rooted/Non Stock Recovery phones?

Longpress on notification then turn off notification.
I encountered same problem and used the following to go back to bone stock (reroot required if you did).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/general/firmware-t-mobile-lg-g3-t2818667
Before entering download mode, make sure you unplug USB cable, remove the battery and put it back in, press and hold the volume button and plug in USB cable, and relax.
This method won't wipe your phone.

How come my cache folder is empty? I'm using es file explorer and i have my settings set to show hidden files. I even ran a search for the update.zip and the lg .apk someone listed and i can't find either off them.
Im using root explorer and went cache and just renamed the file to .bk
---------- Post added at 04:17 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:16 AM ----------
Do you have the notification for the update
I installed root explorer and found the file but it wouldn't let me rename or delete it. It said it was successful but didn't actually work.
Apologies if some of the stuff I bring up has been previously discussed. I recently purchased an LG G3 off of Ebay (AT&T, LG-D850) and it's like new. However, it does not have QMemo+ installed and there are a few other missing options such as:
- Can't add gridlines to camera
- No option to add multi-task as a button on the softkeys
- "Download Mode" stuck at 0% so I can't flash the original .tot file in
These are small issues, but I would really love to have the phone functioning as brand new. Anybody have any of these issues and know how to fix them??
Thank you!

That was the first thing I tried, but once I go to "Download Mode" I see a screen that says "Upgrading firmware. Do not disconnect until complete" and that stays at 0%. I haven't been able to figure out a way around that yet.

No problem it's a hassle the first time you do it, but after that it's easy. I've had to flash back to stock more times than I care to already, but this is why I love Android.
Hi everyone. I'm stock, unrooted and running 5.0.1. I did a factory reset and just before the phone actually reset, the little android guy said performing system update. When the phone was restored, the Hotspot and tethering toggle under connections was gone. I chatted with both Sprint and Samsung about this and both were clueless. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know why or how to get the toggle back? Thanks in advance.
The first time I flashed Lollipop it wouldn't access any sd card. I searched for hours to find any kind of solution but nothing worked. I wiped everything. Data, System, Cache, everything (except my sd card) and flashed Lollipop again (from the same image) and now everything works perfectly. If you have crazy problems, a full wipe and reflash should fix it.

Thanks. I tried all that to no avail. After two trips to the Sprint store and half an hour on the phone with tech support, no one knows why it's not there. Sprint is going to replace my phone.
I dont have a 'hotspot and tethering icon in my notifications toggles..
BUT.. it is under settings, connections, turn it on there..

Google is your friend here.
This is a fairly well known tool for all galaxy phones. It has an option to enable all toggles that are hidden by default:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/not.../app-one-click-hotspot-enabler-menus-t2816159
Check unknown sources, download, install, run, scroll down, 1 tap.
Worked on my friend's Sprint Note 4 on Lollipop. Good luck.

Now that Sprint replace your phone, did the toggle magically reappear? Did the phone they give you was on lollipop, and then did you do an update over the air? And then did the toggle re disappear?

I was stock, non-rooted on Kit Kat. Had thetoggle.
OTA to lollipop, 5.0.1. Had the toggle.
Did a factory reset. No toggle.
Im wondering if the OTA and factory reset made the toggle go away?
Lets say i flashed with Odin the tar for BOB7...
and did factory reset in recovery,
then will the toggle stay?
Has any-1 here flashed the stock tar and retained the 'hhotspot' toggle?
Can you post a s/s of the toggle please?

Right..
The 'setting' is there under settings..
BUT, the OP said that there was a 'toggle' in the pull down notification bar.
I cant remember seeing one there, untill I MSL'ed the hotspot turned on. Thats when I started to notice..
Was it ever there in the first place???

My apologies. I've been calling it a toggle. The "setting" for hotspot and tether under "settings" is what disappeared. So without it I couldn't even get to the actual toggle that turns the hotspot on. Under connections, it just went Bluetooth>Airplane Mode. But the setting was there before the factory reset.
Did anybody figure why the settings is gone. I did the same the same thing for my mom phone hot spot there. I search for hot spot on mine and it can't be found. I did the update and the msl hack and nothing.

I would suggest to do a factory reset in recovery to try and get it back.
And if that doest work, then I suggest to Odin flash the BOB7 and see if it comes back without an additional factory reset.
good luck..
Heres what mine looks like..
I took the OTA update and factory reset twice in recovery.

Hi.
D885 here, stock, lolipop, no root. This problem has been bothering me for a while but its gotten worse. When i click to dial someone, or to answer a call - the screen goes black. Ive tried pressing/holding the back button(the option to end call is checked, but it doesnt work from what i see), tapping the screen and knock code, flashing a bright light at it - nothing. Before a month or so, some of theese things worked; now nothing helps. I have no screen protector, nor a case. The proximity sensor seems to work in changing brightness in different light.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Odd.
Try using the Mega Unbrick guide to fully return your phone to stock and then try with the latest OOS. If it still doesn't work, maybe best to file a support ticket.
