I have been working on the kernel lately, and had to notice that even though the kernel source is compilable (not always the case....), the kernel is unfortunately not bootable. And to make matters worse, LG removed support for the last_kmsg procfs entry, meaning I have no clue what's wrong with it.
But then I remembered what my, well, kinda methor, did on the locked bootloaders on the Xperia X8. He was also known as "the module-man", aka @doixanh, as he brought some pretty nice things to the device just using kernel modules.
Long story short, I compiled a couple of modules adding support for the following four CPU governors:
conservative
hotplug
intellidemand
lionheart
You can choose which ones you want to have loaded by editing the init.d script (just uncomment the line of the module you want to have loaded).
Requirements:
CWM recovery
init.d support
Installation:
Flash the zip via recovery
Edit the init.d script "/system/etc/init.d/01insmod" so it loads the modules you want
That's it
The modules are now being loaded on every boot, and can be activated using any device control app, like TricksterMOD or Device Control.
My personal favorite is hotplug, as it scales pretty nicely.

I have also been working on a couple of other modules, but I cannot load them due to an unaccessible symbol.
The strange thing is, though, according to the kernel sources, the symbol should be accessible...
Will have to keep on looking into it, I suppose...

Siempre estamos para ayudar amigo, las gapps de ics se instalan igual que una rom justamente despues de haber instalado la rom.
Ese problema de la señal se debe a que la rom tiene unos archivos de red que tienen que ser modificados, ademas a esta rom le falta la opcion de advance en la chal se puede usar el baseband switcher y seleccionar un baseband con el cual funcione nuestro 3g.
The ics gapps should be installed like any other rom.
You install the rom and inmediatly install gapps.

Are you using multiboot? I have not seen any error at this moment, I will make some test to post all issues I find.

No Superuser has been an issue with the last 4 Epsylon3 releases with CM9 on multiboot according to the Defy forums. I just finished installing CM9 on multiboot, but didn't use it because I'm uploading CM9 unused so whoever decides do DL it can use the First Run Setup Wizard....I'll test it out and post back within a half an hour.
I checked....no superuser on multiboot....the option doesn't even appear in the settings menu...Same as on the Defy.
Yeah, that sounds right. I'm using multiboot to test ICS. I really like the new Gapps, so I might switch to CM9 as primary anyways!

Well, the new Play Music sucks, or at least Google songs on the cloud part does...Although you can just copy songs from Google Play's cache...but 3 songs were 30mb, and that'll eat bandwidth up in no time....bad idea Google.
@Josuearisty--Have you ever tried using a $20 prepaid Visa for Amazon\Google Markets? Its what I do for my free songs\app of the day, and might be a solution for Non-Americans to access American Markets along with using Market Enabler (Link). Basicly, Market Enabler spoofs Market into thinking your from a different country. I'm actually going to start including Market Enable in my roms to help out international users.
I hope this helps you foreign guys out.

I never tried to buy songs off amazon or google.
Once I try to buy an app from amazon I used Market Enabler and no success.
I will try somethings later, I like some north americans songs, Im American too even not living in US

Wow, I never noticed. Thanks. Now I have to update my threads....I always edited build.prop for LED and Multitouch...I didn't even notice baseband or compass; I saw then on Epsy's last rom I used and figured they'd be there too.
Is this a Multiboot glitch like Superuser, or just a glitch in general???

Thanks, I saw it yesterday forums.
For us who live outside US we need to change baseband switcher so that our 3G works.
But why quarx is not adding it to the rom?
I think we need to let him know about it, will it go forever or what?

Actually, the US Baseband is wrong as well as the APN. I just never noticed because baseband is one of the things I change without even thinking about it. After Months of using Defy Roms, old habits are hard to break. (Plus I did baseband switch before I realized it was bad APN)
I'm having a Bluetooth issue. When paired with my car, the music drops at a regular interval. I've been messing with CPU governors and thought that might be the cause, but the problem persists when the phone's at full throttle, too.
Anyone else notice Bluetooth connection issues, or have a suggestion for me?

If Yours Is a fake, then none of the methods in this forum will work. If it Is a variant, then find the forum for that Specific device. I7100 Is not the International version (GT-N7100).

The thing is that there is an alternative if not a forgery based on this end and I suppose that being so there may be something that can be, but still there is nothing that can make or unlock root and has permissions to all and leaves no access anything.

is no need for recovery ...
is deodex rom without bloatware with superusermod, improved camera, battery, 3g, wifi, cpu ... as well as better response and performance and obviously with root ...
in a few more days I'll be uploading the files and tutorial on how to flash

es sin necesidad de recovery ...
la rom queda deodex, sin bloatware con superusermod, mejoras en la camara, bateria, 3g, wifi, cpu... asi como mejor respuesta y rendimiento y obviamente con root...
en unos dias mas estare subiendo los archivos y el tutorial de como flashear

i have done a long research about the device sound card and capabilities and DAC and stuff..
the main idea is i have tested the Physical limits of the actual device with my own device and measured the actual DB's
what i have achieved:
* Changed the Dual speakers for almost every app that requires audio out.
* changed the Microphone to PERFORMANCE mode or High quality.. From power savings
* Changed the headphone capabilities to HIGH Quality from LOFI
* Changed the volume limits to all available outputs
* Booted the device Volume Curve for everything including Wifi calls and Voip
What i need: Before i can finish and post this mod
Magisk flash module or Twrp zip flashable
i need the files from any of you guys so i can compare both devices
i have the regular Galaxy s9 g9600 i need the following files from any one from your GALAXY S9+ G9650..
On your file explorer go to VENDOR/ETC
All files that start with
*Mixer_XXXX
*Audio_XXX
*Default_Volume_tables
*a2dp_audio
they will be XML, TXT and CONF extentions

You say the default quality of the mic is low and can be improved? Same for the headphone?
Also, I have noticed when recording videos on loud environments such as parties, the audio (on the recorded video) become really quiet... the phone captures the low frequencies but to compensate it drops the general volume (mid & highs) of the video... do you think this can be fixed get a louder general volume without distorting?
I managed to increase the volume and I intend to create a mod if anyone wants to let me know

Custom kernels are a no go for this device. Someone litt spent an entire week building it but the device rejecting them all. Booting custom kernels on android 12 firmware is possible. but since i use gsi's i have to stay on android 11 firmware. sooo. if your on android 12 firmware kernels are possible. Although one ui didnt like it. it refused to boot. but when i flashed a gsi on top it booted fine. I requested samsung to release kernel sources for latest android 11 firmware so that person can try building a permissive kernel for me.
