Just Got a Samsung I780 ISSUES HELP plz

Ok so i just got my i780 had it for about a month my problems are upsetting me.
1-cant find gps software anywhere for it
2-mine doesn't have radio how do i fix this
3-i was hoping there is a program so i can see my sms like on a blackberry
BUT the biggest issues is
My phone slows down and freeze all the time when the batt gets less then half way or sometimes when ever is feels like it im thinking its a firmware issue but no idea this forces me to reset the phone then it will work
CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE??

1 - try google maps mobile, it is free
2 - radio? you mean an FM radio? the i780 has none. you can use webradio with an app like resco radio
3 - ?? what do you mean? it does show your sms? you mean threaded? try this: palm threaded sms, but it can break MMS support
mine does slow down too. even with then newest custom roms. could quite possible be a power management issue in that it slows down to preserve battery. not sure on this.

Hi everybody, just got mine two weeks ago. The device also slows down on me after just a string of SMSes is this really normal? I find the lag very annoying and then I have to reset it. Already did a hard reset once but nothing happened. I am a noob so no applications installed yet...though I'm already looking at doing EFN's rom with hopes that the process will improve performance.

[Q] New to Galaxy Nexus

Hello all
I am from toronto, canada and i have purchased a nexus and its awesome. I rooted, unlocked and my phone was on yakjuux.Because i didnt understand how to make it to yanju i did a couple of experiments with the easiest root kit from WugFresh(that kit is very good and A THANK YOU to the people who make it is not enough).
Anyway, i have some questions for you people because i dont know much about how tthe android system works and how the carriers work too.
Q: I unrooted my phone cause its not necessary for me to be rooted.If i leave my bootloader unlocked will it cause any kinds of problems or its ok to be unlocked??
Q2:I dont have a data plan on my phone but 10 min ago i found that i have access to internet without wifi and my APN is all set ed up. Do i pay or its free internet ?
(i called my carrier and they said to me that i dont have any data plan.

Q1 - it is fine, you should not experience anything different. better to do it now than later, since unlocking the bootloader wipes everything.
Q2 - i guess you are lucky. just look at your statement, just in case you got charged

I just discovered another problem unfortunately, i tried to set up face unlock and the set up process is working flawlessly but when i lock the screen it show me nothing and then it reboots by it self.
i think its my fault because i messed up with something i didnt know (rooting, unlocking) if somebody knows something please advise me what to do

yeah this is it and then it reboot i have the alogcat file and its saying something about facelock android access denied.

face unlock solved for now..i deleted some apps that i didnt wanted and its solved ics is playing weird games

[Q] Mobile data problem

Hello.
So i bought a galaxy nexus GSM white version from Bulgarian carrier VIVACOM. I turned it on then updated to android 4.1.1
I tried to activate the mobile data with a SMS that i recieve from the carrier but it didn't work. Yesterday i called them and we installed the settings. Nothing happened. After that we deleta wap.carrier.bg. Again no effect. After long converse we didn't manage to trun the 3g and they told me that with them everything is ok. My status bar is gray and i hardly saw the "H" appearing, but still no data. I read here and in other forums, but didn't find the solution. I read here solution with changing the Radial, but I don't want to mess with this and also it is now my job. My current Radial Module is I9250XXLF1.
I want to aks you if this issue can be solved. If not i will try to change the phone with different one. I like JB, but i need a working phone.

Have you looked into your APN settings? That's often where issues occur for GSM phones.

The I roblem is fixed. I went to store to explain the problem and maybe return the phone. It,let is from the settings, those from call service don't know a lot. He put the settings into mms.thecarrier.bg and deleted the new APN I created. In the end everything is just fine. So I hope I will help others.

From call service of the carrier told me to create new APN. That was wrong, because nothing happened. The next day I went to one of the carrier store and explain this problem to the servant. He said it should be from the settings there is no way not to work. So he deleted the new APN that I created and put the settings into mms.thecarrier.bg. When I ask the call service what should I do with mms.thecarriername.bg should I deleted it like I deleted wap.thecarriername.bg and they said "you can leave it like this"

Comments repeating endesly in Facebook / Help with sim unlock

Hello! I just bought my Note II from Telcel (Mexico), the first thing I do was root it, then update it to the latest version (telcel sucks in updating their own phones), then I installed Droidwall, AdFree and a bunch of apps from the store like Earth, Go Weather EX and Facebook.
The phone is great in all the specs, only for one thing.. Facebook app (or the phone itself) may have a bad bug. When I comment in a post on facebook, it keeps repeating the same comment over and over again..

This is really really annoying, it keeps posting repeatedly only when the screen of the Note is on. I tried to erase the app data, the app itself and re-installing it and nothing helps, if you know how to fix this I will appreciate it a lot!
Second thing i need hep (and the mos impotant) I need to unlock the Note II, Telcel sucks big time, this carrier is expensive as hell, I've tried GalaxSim (the one found here in XDA) and says that the unlock was "succeed", but when I reboot the phone, the lock is there again.
The "hidden menu" published here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2014982 ) does not work because the menu is different from the posted there, it says "MENU NOT EXIST"

Welcome. I have a little problem with SGD. Phone often turns itself off or restarts itself (at least 1-2 times per day). It happens even if is not used (I can hear the sound then restart). I have the original ROM XXAMCD region of TPH but I use the Polish language. Does anyone else have this problem?

Install latest firmware and check if the exists or not. Last solution is service center..

Your firmware version is old. The problem will disappear after system update.

Which ROM I can flash to have polish language? May it be XXAME1 from BLG, EUR or SEB?

I did not wait for answers, I did it, flashed rom XXAME1 EUR and since last night there is no restart (for now)

May be it restarts because you phone gets heated up.

if ur rooted then disable root and root again...nd check for radio or system app in superuser..and deny permissions..
maybe it will help..!!

No, I have no root. Now I have the newest stock XEO ROM but this problem still repeat but occasionally. I observe one thing. My phone still works with 2 SIM card:
1. 3G internet only (Aero2.pl)
2. 2G talks, SMS, MMS (T-mobile.pl)
Always, when I hear starting sound and I get phone it was hot on the rear panel (see below)

There is absolutely no waya phone restarts becausee of usins sim 2
Try enabling 'do not keep activities' and 'limit background processes' to 'no background processes' in devoloper options.
also clear RAM often by holding the home button and click the 1st button and go to ram no click clear.

Did you find a solution? I have the same problem. If you could write in prv in Polish...

Now I have ME1 ROM and restarts are sometimes, not so many as earlier, but happens. Indeed - it restarts when the phone is hot. Maybe it happens when the phone is synchronizing data? I am nor sure. But it is not burdensome just now. After some weeks (months?) I can tell that this phone is not top of my dreams (my last was SGS II), but I can't found at this moment nothing better then this one, which works with two SIM cards and WCDMA 900Mhz (AERO2 - 3G internet mobile operator works in that frequency for free in Poland). Few weeks earlier I have used ZTE V970 - it was good phone, but not so good like SGGD though some drawbacks.

Same Issue but I don't see how to implement the suggestions being an end-user
I have the same problem (random reboot) but cannot see developer options anymore (I saw it in the past but it seems Samsung locked it, i don't know).
I notice it happens more when I am driving and using Waze or playing music thru Bluetooth in the car speaker. Maybe it gets hot but I am not sure. But my concern is many of the suggestions I cannot implement bacause I am an end user that has not many tools or skills to play with the phone. I am sure I have the last firmware, but the phone keeps rebooting once or twice every couple of days...
It is annoying and makes me feel like I should have bought a proprietary solution like Apple...

Hello everyone... this is my first time to post here and im also a new member in this forum and for
information about my self is
im just an ordinary man and dont have some knowledge about phones, softwares and etc. ..
im just hoping that there is someone who can help me regarding about my issue so this is what happens.
I have a phone samsung galaxy grand dous GT-i9082 i have this phone for about 3 years but my phone suddenly not working
properly. There is sometimes my phone works when there is simcard and when days pass it suddenly off and it will stock
in the logo Samsung galaxy Grand Duos GT-i9082. when i off my phone and i will remove my simcard it will work properly again
and then days pass it will do the same. at first it is just ok for me in that rotation of my phone but in this month it gets
worse..when i only put one simcard in sim 1 the same will happened on my phone it will on and in seconds it off directly and so on..
but when i put 2 simcards it will
work properly again and days pass my phone same as always..
i tried the method of factory data reset many times but my phone is still the same. last week im thinking that maybe my phone is outdated
for not upgrading it so i came up my mind to watch a tutorial on how to upgrade my phone jellybean to kitkat. i just flash a new ROM and follow
the steps in the tutorial but the files which is in the tutorial is not working everytime im doing the steps and other files
which website he gave is in error..so i download
another files related to my phone not just 1 but 3 files for my phone just to make sure which one is working.. and last night it work!
my phone got upgraded i got it to explore it for about 30 mins.. but so sad after that it off and it is still the same as always with sim
and without sim

I too had this problem. It is probably your battery. Change it. Your battery is probably degraded. It cant support the power requirement of mobile hence the mobile shuts down.

Change your battery.
