Purchased a Lg optimus g 793 version from bell network in canada about a week ago , got the unlock code , everything worked just fine , as phone does connect to the Rogers network now. But it almost constantly is dropping its network connection , even with full bars. Even when connect to the network the phone does not get internet access.
Not really sure whats going on with the phone as i've gone through the settings a dozen times now to make sure i've done things corrently.
The network is set to automatic , the 2g only button is not clicked, etc etc.
About ready to give up on the thing, figured i'd give it a shot and come here and see if anyone here has any ideas.
Appreciate any help.

ok well as no one answered the question , yet i figured out what was wrong , i will share what was going on .
Ended up going to a local Rogers store , seeing if it was the phone internals having issues or the sim card .
Ended up that the unlock of the phone wipes all the carrier information off the phone , hence the constant connect to service , disconnect from service.
So if you unlock your phone , just remember you might need to change some of the carrier settings on the phone , and might be a good idea just to take it down to the store and get it setup as it cost me nothing to do , other side of the cost of the unlock in the first place.
Hope this help someone in the future.
Unlocking by code should not affect anything. It's either the sim or the network settings.

My T-mobile Galaxy Note 3 was sent for repair, so I acquire myself a Sprint LG G2 from a friend. The Sprint LG G2 had a clean IMEI and was not rooted when my friend gave it to me. After he gave it to me, I successfully had it rooted and installed TWRP recovery on it, and install the CLoudy G3 rom that was recommended inorder for it to be able to use it on T-MOBILE. At first it didn't work. I kept getting the "no sim card" error and " sim card not compatible" issues. So I tried resetting the phone, and after resetting the Sprint LG G2 I can see it's trying really hard to pick up the T-MOBILE signal, but unfortunately it wouldn't pick up. So in the phone on the dialer I input *#*#4636#*#* then I went to PHONE INFO then I scroll down and selected WCDMA PREFERED. Right after I do that I notice the Sprint LG G2 no longer shows the "no sim card" error or the "sim card not compatible" issue. And I can make/receive calls and text messages. However every 2 hours or so the Sprint LG G2 with the Cloudy G3 rom would kill off the T-Mobile signal and I would have to reset the Sprint LG G2 phone, and have to redo putting in the weird *#*#4636#*#* steps all over again just to make the Sprint LG G2 work for Tmobile. So my question is is there a way to over come this issue of having to restart the phone, then putting this *#*#4636#*#* in the phone dialer, then scrolling down and selecting WCDMA preferred? It's becoming a real annoyance having to redo those steps over and over again every 2-3 hours or so. Be awesome if anyone in here would point me to the right direction on how to overcome this problem. Am I not flashing the correct Cloudy G3 rom for the Sprint LG G2? Am I not flashing the correct radio or Kernel for the Cloudy G3 rom?
network calibartion issue with G3..status of RF CALL INFO is "not ok" please Help! :\
Hey my friends! i am new in this forum. i bought a LG D855 from Aliexpress and when i received the package and check the D855 i figure out that the hardware belong to the D850 and the software belong to D855. The device was fine except that the signal is constantly lost or up and down a problematic way it difficult to use the device! and does not allow to spend and receive calls normally, and no matter how I tried to fix the problem with change the networks(every option in WCDMA/LTE/GSM networks) or change SIM card to new one and make sure that my SIM is working in other devices or even to install applications that booster the signal of the mobile network! I sent the device to a lab that confirmed that is D850 and they flash other ROM (cloudy 1.2 for D850) and tried to fix the network issues but without success. i can to make or received calls or use internet but many times the signal is too weak or lost so i cant to make a call and sometimes the signal bar shows that there is a good signal but i still cant to make calls or use mobile internet. i entered to the hidden menu(3845#*850#) and discovered that the RF CALL INFO have a "NOT OK(DEFAULT)" status! other G3 or even G2 i checked have "OK" status..maybe this is the problem? how to fix it? thank you very much!! :good::good:
?
please help me! i flash stock rom of AT&T but is not help..the signal still lost or up annd down! the mainboard is d850 i chcked this.
anyone?
Hello everyone, my phone is LG G8 Korean SK telecom, i have been using my phone for over one and half years without mobile network problem, except its signal quite weak and the phone restarted frequently. Last week it suddenly lost signal (no signal at all, not rotating icon) though it still prompt me to enter SIM lock password. I had tried different ways like factory reset and even flash kdz to older and current Android version but nothing happened. Can anyone encountered this case help me ?
Hello,
No fix for you but I also have a lot of calling issues with my Korean G820N (LGU+). Most people calling me get the ringtone and my voicemail but I have NOTHING on the phone..... So, I miss calls and was forced to install a voicemail app to know if people called me or not....
I'm thinkign to flash a US KDZ but if you could give a quick feedback of your problem it could help me.
