My LG G8 has lost signal but still recognize SIM card. - LG G8 Questions & Answers

Hello everyone, my phone is LG G8 Korean SK telecom, i have been using my phone for over one and half years without mobile network problem, except its signal quite weak and the phone restarted frequently. Last week it suddenly lost signal (no signal at all, not rotating icon) though it still prompt me to enter SIM lock password. I had tried different ways like factory reset and even flash kdz to older and current Android version but nothing happened. Can anyone encountered this case help me ?

Hello,
No fix for you but I also have a lot of calling issues with my Korean G820N (LGU+). Most people calling me get the ringtone and my voicemail but I have NOTHING on the phone..... So, I miss calls and was forced to install a voicemail app to know if people called me or not....
I'm thinkign to flash a US KDZ but if you could give a quick feedback of your problem it could help me.

[Q] Problem with mobile network on my device

Hi all, there is perhaps a response to this issue but my English is not very good since I'm Cuban, so sorry.
I have a GT-i9082L which sent me to Mexico and worked perfectly there, to get to Cuba no longer worked the mobile network, I thought that maybe should unlock it, bring it to a technician and he said that there was no problem to unlock it was the mobile.
I gave myself the task of making root and install your latest firmware for samsung perfect, but the phone still does not work just the mobile network, update the modem and still the same. I also installed other rom and nothing.
Without inserting any sim under 112 or 911 and pretends that this marking but no sound. if I insert a sim tells me that the network is not available.
I tried with other sim and does exactly the same.
No if glitch or software, does anyone h presented this problem?
Another curious fact is that even without wearing a sim gets in some places all signal lines.
appreciate any help.
thank you

SIM Disabled / No SIM / No Service Issue With Maybe Workaround

IPosting this more as a FYI from my recent experience with my Verizon LG G4 phone using over seas (Vietnam vs. originally in the U.S.). The phone is currently rooted with firmware VS98610BB (10B) with Android 5.1. The phone is no longer on Verizon Wireless (paid off device and service cancelled). Earlier in the day, my LG G4 experienced an abrupt "SIM Disabled" followed by "No SIM - No Service". I was in the middle of surfing the internet via Viettel's 3G (Vietnam cell phone carrier) when I lost the ability to use the cell phone service. At first, I thought my phone was suffering stability from the drops and banging that happened to the phone recently, however I believe the accidents were negligible due to a soft transparent TPU cover I have on the phone. I then thought that my SIM was probably banned, blacklisted, or blocked from the carrier. I tried restarting the phone. Doesn't work. I removed the battery and reinserted the battery and powered on the phone. Still doesn't work. Finally went to a local Viettel retail store and the representative checked the SIM. It was working in her phone (phone call made to the retail store and phone call made to the phone having my SIM).
I made further searches online to see what other things to try or the possible issues. Saw some may have hardware defects, but in order to eliminate the SIM reader was broken, I decided to whip out the Verizon's SIM to try. The Verizon SIM verified that my phone didn't malfunction. So I was going to try the next solution is to mask the IMEI to verify my SIM was blocked on Viettel's network. I took out the Verizon SIM and stuck in Viettel SIM. To my amazement, Viettel network was picked up again.
I did notice that while I was at the Viettel store, my APN entries were wiped out or erased somehow. I reentered all the APN information but it didn't help while at the the retail store.
Well, the conclusion is: swap SIM into the G4 to see if it resets the network and SIM information, then stick in the SIM you're using.
I hope this is helpful to those who experienced the same issue.
Ran into a similar problem as indicated in the above post (no carrier signal found) with another LG G4 under my care and this time, trying the above workaround did not work for the second LG G4 phone. It appears that something must have corrupted the system files or other files. What I additionally did was cleared out all of the credentials (Settings/Security/Certificate management/Clear credentials). Also, I wiped out the cache by performing Power+Volume down keys on boot up to access boot options of wiping cache (rooted phone). After rebooting the phone one more time, everything went back to normal. What bugged me was that the phone was charged up to 80%. After another reboot, it is now at 100%. Strange. Another thing that was strange was when enabling airplane mode, to disable it from the settings menu was grayed out, i.e., cannot switch off and on. However, the quick settings still worked. But everything is in working order now. This leads me to believe file corruption has happened to both LG G4 phones. Even the APN list was wiped out.

network calibartion issue with G3..status of RF CALL INFO is "not ok" please Help! :\
Hey my friends! i am new in this forum. i bought a LG D855 from Aliexpress and when i received the package and check the D855 i figure out that the hardware belong to the D850 and the software belong to D855. The device was fine except that the signal is constantly lost or up and down a problematic way it difficult to use the device! and does not allow to spend and receive calls normally, and no matter how I tried to fix the problem with change the networks(every option in WCDMA/LTE/GSM networks) or change SIM card to new one and make sure that my SIM is working in other devices or even to install applications that booster the signal of the mobile network! I sent the device to a lab that confirmed that is D850 and they flash other ROM (cloudy 1.2 for D850) and tried to fix the network issues but without success. i can to make or received calls or use internet but many times the signal is too weak or lost so i cant to make a call and sometimes the signal bar shows that there is a good signal but i still cant to make calls or use mobile internet. i entered to the hidden menu(3845#*850#) and discovered that the RF CALL INFO have a "NOT OK(DEFAULT)" status! other G3 or even G2 i checked have "OK" status..maybe this is the problem? how to fix it? thank you very much!! :good::good:
?
please help me! i flash stock rom of AT&T but is not help..the signal still lost or up annd down! the mainboard is d850 i chcked this.
anyone?

Flashed G710PM to G710VM, Having Issues

Hello All,
Tried looking for a similar situation as mine on here.. but couldn't find it.
I flashed my G710PM to G710VM to use on Reach Mobile (a Verizon MVMO).
Their website said that phone was incompatible with their service, when I put the simcard in there, the phone received a signal and data worked. 1 hour later it stopped working.
Anyone know why this happened? And is it possible to get it to work on Verizon MVMO?
Can you still make phone calls/do you still have signal? If so try messing around with the apn settings if you haven't' already

Does Reset to Factory settings reset modem profiles?

Hello Everyone,
I have a LG G8X, the Indian Version. Model is LM-G850EMW and software is V30b-IND-xx.
My main draw was the dual sim. I was trying to use this phone for Telus and TMobile. However, since TMobile went to VoLTE, my calls weren't working properly. The callers could hear me, but I could not hear them. The only way to make calls work was to disable LTE, and pick GSM only. However, in that case, my phone doesn't have internet.
In hopes of trying to fix that, I followed this thread and tried playing with the modem settings to enable VoLTE:
[GUIDE] [NO ROOT REQUIRED] [EPIC UPDATE] How to add VoLTE support for other carriers to the G8 (and other Qualcomm powered LG devices too!)
This guide will not work if you are running Android 12 :( I'm gonna keep the intro simple, been a longtime user here on XDA, and recently I found that my T-Mobile LG G8 only supported VoLTE and VoWifi on, you guessed it, T-Mobile! So I did some...
forum.xda-developers.com
However, ever since I loaded the profiles, I have had issues:
1. The second sim card slot (TMobile) will not get a signal no matter what profile I activate or deactivate.
2. My first sim slot (Telus), worked on the Telus profile, but when I get calls, it's a 1/2 ring, missed call notification, and goes straight to voicemail.
3. I tried switching sim slots to no avail.
4. I tried deactivating profiles to no avail.
5. I tried a network reset, nothing.
6. I tried both sims in a different phone and both work just fine.
I'm at the point where I just want to go back to where I was before. I've given up on the idea that I can get this phone to work on Tmobile VoLTE. At least before my TMobile line could access 4G. Now it's nothing.
Does anyone know if a factory reset will restore all this? I'd like to know if possible before resetting the phone before learning that it doesn't help.
Thanks everyone.
