I am getting a really long error trying to apply the OTA 2.2. I have not seen this anywhere on here and google is taking me to many different phones and not quite the same errors.
Code:
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/bin/reboot", "723277108cbd2d5E:unknown command[c41a12e055052004932e70fac",]
E:Error in /cache/ota_supersonic_3.26.651.6-1.47.651.1_releasexjg0a0vqdw5cor7z.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
I am running 2.1 updated on a rooted phone. (Rooted version of same.) I just updated my radio and PRI so that I have current radio .9 (or something) and PRI 1.77.
The download of the update seems to have gone fine and then I clicked the install and it is not working.
If I use Astro I can get to the reboot file but I have no idea how to open it. (ADB won't let me see anything in the system folder which is aggravating.)
If I use Astro I can get to the cache folder but it shows it empty. If I use ADB then I can see the OTA in there. (WTF?)
HELP....
What else? Let me know if I need to provide more info, I'll find it on the phone.
No one got a thought on this one? If search is up this morning I'll try that in a bit.
I am trying to install an app I found on the web, but I am getting a Parse Error saying, "There is a problem parsing the package," each time I try to install it.
I've tried installing it first through email, and clicking install on the attachment. I then tried by putting it on my SD card and accessing it through a file manager to install it. Both gave me the same errors, so then I thought why not use ADB. Even when I try to install through ADB, it gives me this:
Code:
EOCD not found, not ZIP.
Any ideas? Maybe its just a problem with the app? Though I've seen it work on other phone before...
Maybe it's a corrupted file?
I've just installed a fresh new copy of RC2 with all the wipes.
1. When running AdFree i get the "Update Found" message.
2. when trying to "Download & Install Hosts" i get the the error:
"Error: Failed to replace your hosts file. Error message:"
3. When trying to "Revert" first i get "Failed to revert your hosts file, the 'echo' command seems to be missing"
Any ideas?
Thanks,
G
I had the same issue running CM. S-OFF seemed to resolve it, just flashed and tested it now.

do you have s-off? if not s-off lol
I always had the same issue. I s-off'd yesterday. Saw this post and tried the app again. Win!
I've tried pulling it from /cache which works.... but not really
when trying to open it I get an error. can't remember exactly what the error was but it's something like "file does not exist"
once I have this file, I'm fairly confident I can create a guide on how to update rooted tabs (and keep root of course) as I've done this previously with the Acer Iconia A700
any help would be appreciated... just need to get my hands on this file whether by download or description of how to properly obtain it.
already tried Samsung's website... there's no downloads of any kind available
if anyone has kies installed maybe you could acquire it from there and upload
I have been trying to flash some files recently through TWRP, but I always get a string of red errors complaining about how some Chrome Canary files/directories don't exist.
Here is the error code: "Error opening: 'data/data/com/chrome.canary/cache/Cache/{any file that belongs here}' (No such file or directory)"
I have tried many things including:
1. Factory Reset my device (Would reset but would show all the errors along with it)
2. Installing a custom ROM which should overwrite those missing directories (But failed to flash because of those errors)
3. Installing Chrome Canary (It wasn't installed originally so it somehow stayed on the device since previous wipe)
P.S. Chrome Canary couldn't open, it would just crash before the opening animation finished
4. Delete the 'com.chrome.canary' directory through ES File Explorer (Would just result in "error:39" (No results show up for that error online))
5. Flash an updated version of TWRP (Flashed, along with the errors showing)
*All the above attempts resulted in not succeeding, and any attempts made through TWRP would show the long list of errors*
It seems that the 'com.chrome.canary' directory is "surviving" any wipe attempts, its the only directory that stays on the phone after a wipe.
Anyone have any suggestions? Or has anyone else experienced this issue (With Chrome Canary or any other app)?
